Characters do something crazy/something that would have gotten them killed

>characters do something crazy/something that would have gotten them killed
>moment of silence
>then one character says "That...was...AWESOME!"

Cliches that you hate

>"You just have to be yourself!"

>Its not where we are, its when

>We're not in Kansas anymore

>"So whats Plan B" "That was Plan B"

>welp _____ you saved the day again

>softspoken, deadpan, intelligent, very young, female character

Person refuses to explain their motivations

>You wouldn't understand

Fuck you...explain anyway

>boy caught in silly circumstance where he looks like he's cheating is incapable of simply explaining he wasn't because of a combination of him suddenly forgetting how to talk and his girlfriend angrily refusing to listen.

>episode where character writes phony baloney stories about people for a newspaper or something of the sort

cant think of many cartoons that has not had an episode like this

>You need to ____

>WHY

>Ill explain later !

>They could have explained it with one sentence

>villain confronts the heroes
>spills a major secret about one of them that makes the others turn against them
>everyone automatically assumes the villain is telling the truth and doesn't let the accused person explain themselves

>Villain is about to explain his plan and motivations
>he gets interrupted or dies in the middle of his monologue anticlimatically
I mean, when done right it can be funny but most of the time it just sucks

>"So whats Plan B" "That was Plan B"

I love this one.

MISUNDERSTANDINGS

>Character nags everybody about something that is rightly totally illogical
>Some random unrelated event occurs that validates what the person was nagging them about
>Everybody bends over backwards to kiss that persons ass because a random act of god gave their unreasonable nagging validity.

Happens a lot to try to make characters seem smart or valuable. Iris in flash has this happen a lot.

>SORRY DID YOU WANT TO KILL HIM

>All husbands are retarded
>All wives are smart and reasonable and serve to keep their husband's retardation in check

extends to

>All girl characters are smart and very adult in behavior
>All boy characters are mouth breathing troublemakers who run on impulse

I... I can explain.

...

>You're not in Kansas anymore!

Is something I can see Perry White yelling at Clark Kent. I wouldn't be surprised if he already has said it somewhere.

>the power of love, trusting your gut, etc always trumps logical thinking and careful planning

To be fair, Lego Movie's moral is less "BE YOURSELF" and more "Everybody is important and the special one in some way, and when you forget that, and you let your own things that make you feel all good and special take over your life, it'll ruin you and the way you think and ruin everybody that cares about you"

>people doing stupid shit
Right, because as we all know, that never happens in real life.

>>softspoken, deadpan, intelligent, very young, male character
I can only think of Arnold

>"This situation is dire, hopeless, nothing we have will get us out of this situation...
>"...unless..."
>*insert pointless technobabble used to explain deus ex machina*
>"That just might work!"
