Pressure from groups of people with political motivations. As we have seen in comics and movies already, there have been many forced characters and pushing of ideology by groups of people who dont even purchase the thing they lobby for.
See Marvel or DC comics for this. There are some articles where designers explain they aren't going to submit to the political pressure any more because their sales went down after they pandered to the SJW crowds but sales only went down.
