The progressive cause movement is extremely loud when it comes to vocally supporting anything that could even be interpreted as "progressive" or "opressed", and the anti-progressive cause movement is hated on and labeled with various -ism labels.
By catering to the vocal group openly, people will score cheap political points and not have aspersions cast upon their character.
If they didn't cater or mention the progressive causes, no such gain would be had, but eventually they'll likely be forced to pick a side, like with the bathroom thing. If they don't play along, they'll reap the same results from opposition.
If they opposed the cause or were forced to pick a side and went against the progressive cause, they'll be loudly opposed and accused of bigotry, effectively losing something.
When it comes down to it, the movements use fear of ostracization and labels to silence any non-conformity to their views. It's the way that the liberals operate.
It won't be long until we're encouraged to accept incest and eventually bestiality, and if we don't, we'll be bigots.

Long story short: The majority of the MSM has a cultural Marxist agenda. Jews promote a multiracial/multicultural society because they know it's harder for them to be singled out and persecuted in a "melting pot." Women will promote whatever is popular because it's in their nature to be starved for attention. Men will often do stupid things (like support lefttard issues) in an attempt to impress those women.

Women support social causes for the same reason they wear designer clothing and expensive jewelry. Everyone knows they didn't spend their own money to buy those things, so clearly there must be a powerful man somewhere willing to waste his money on her frivolity. They are a symbol of status and social value and in this case the powerful man whose resources she wastes is the state and once again men allow this for the same reason they go into debt to buy a woman designer clothing, because they think it makes women happy.

The word you're looking for is "virtue signaling," and yes that's exactly what they're doing.
They also do it because Social Justice has become like a religion for them, in that anything that is in the interest of Social Justice must be inherently moral by definition. Thus, they feel like they're being good people and Making A Difference™ when they try to make other people feel bad about not liking women's sports.
Because giant void in culture caused by The Frankfurt School. And westerners need to fill that void with something. The first step for cure is to acknowledge that.

I don't know but even on Linkedin they have a section for causes you're passionate about and social justice is one of the options. Shit's fucked, but maybe for every cat lady who sees is as a positive there are also recruiters who view it as a red flag to steer clear from.
