Why did none of you tell me how good this was?

why did none of you tell me how good this was?
what are some comparable action flicks that have flown under the radar in recent times?

>why did none of you tell me how good this was?

fuck off

>what are some comparable action flicks that have flown under the radar in recent times?

oh well if you found Dredd on your own you don't need our help do you, faggot?

>why did none of you tell me how good this was?
whenever there is talk of Dredd everyone only has praise for it, except for plebbes.

Watch this user critically acclaimed but derided by tv but I assure you it's superior to Dredd.

>why did none of you tell me how good this was?
People on here always praise it though, it just had fucking terrible marketing that put everyone off watching it.

>why did none of you tell me how good this was?
Why didn't you listen?

wew, such hostility
i never see anyone talk about dredd on here, it's just constant john wick shill threads

it's shit and the Stalone Dredd is much better

because it came out 5 years ago and john wick 2 just came out you mongoloid

>I've been here all summer

we can tell

Stallone version was better.
>Better megacity one
>More satire elements ( the joke about suicide being legal)
>World building
>Back story for Joe and Rico
>Better lawmaster and lawgiver

The only drawbacks would be there helmet being removed and the kiss.

Dredd isn't that good

Watch kill zone ii if you want a real action kino. Basically a much better version of the raid 2.

These. But if you liked Dredd you'll probably like the Robocop and Total Recall remakes too, with the latter being the best in my opinion.

Rob Schneider's role is an atrocity worse than those commited under the supervision of Stalin.

The lack of helmet just ruins the character and the lack of absurd legalism is just saddening.

It is an okay film though, just not a good Dredd film. That being said, niether is Dredd 3D simply because it is on the wrong side of the camp spectrum.

>Rob Schneider's role is an atrocity worse than those commited under the supervision of Stalin.
>The lack of helmet just ruins the character
What is it with comic fags and hyperbole?

whatever you say m8. i've been coming here for years i just don't spend all fucking day checking the catalogue like some autistic faggot
you madman. stallone version was a stinking piece of shit compared to dredd 3d
they both looked pretty bad desu, but i deliberately avoided dredd for the longest time cause i thought it would be crap too, and was pleasantly surprised
thanks user, downloading

Well for at least all of 2015 there were constant Dredd threads and since then I can remember seeing them every so often. Lurk more fag.

The lack of helmet does ruin the character or ratherit makes the character less absurd in his extremes which is kind of the point. It is like having Superman spend an entire film just being weak and slow.

>why did none of you tell me how good this was?
It had loads of threads when it came out and again when it was out on home media. Sup Forums loves it.

>what are some comparable action flicks that have flown under the radar in recent times?
Not recent at all, but watch some classic Hong Kong action films.

Again with the hyperbole.

>It is like having Superman spend an entire film just being weak and slow.
Nothing like that at all. For a start it wasn't the entire film, and secondly whether a character wears a hat is not equivalent to whether they're Kryptonian. It makes no functional difference, it's only aesthetic.

>Hey Dredd, remember that time you nearly died teaching a rookie how to do a routine triple homicide investigation?

Dredd is a 7/10 movie in a world of 4/10 flicks.

It is a shit adaptation of the comic, and a merely decent action SF.

>It makes no functional difference, it's only aesthetic.

The functional difference is that we learn that Stallon Dredd is fine with being out of uniform, which is not the kind of person Dredd is supposed to be. The character is supposed to take the idea of a perfect law enforcement agent to an absolutely absurd extreme. People sometimes say they want cops to be "real cops" who never take the law lightly but the reality of such a person is that he'll memorize the law to a letter and carry it out without mercy or reason. Like imagine you ran into a person who was a cop and he just wore his patrol uniform all day, all the time, that's the kind of person Dredd is. He is hyperbole made flesh.

The Raid is basically the same movie but better. Watch that

any recommendations in particular? the only chinese action flicks i've really seen are john woo and jackie chans stuff
seen both of them m8

...

I'm just here to remind you all that there will never be a dredd porn parody with prime Lily Labeau as Anderson.

watched on a whim last week.

it is really that good. must be the first time i've got memed by Sup Forums into watching something not terrible.

The original was better, desu.
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW.
