Why is it that every sizable right-wing movement always seems to get tainted with paranormal bullshit like flat earth and UFOs? Why can't there just be a serious right-wing movement with a firm foundation in science and rationality? And to all you out there who do believe that hocus pocus, how do you justify ruining the credibility of the right so horribly?

Realizing that the earth is flat is the ultimate redpill, though

that actually happens anywhere. even alt-left is plagued with simply ludicrous UFO/conspiracy/spirituality delusions.

Where do you think WE WUZ KANGZ comes from?

because any sufficiently right wing ideology rejects materialism and instead bases its values on spiritual principles which are expressed metaphorically through myths, magics, etc.
shit like hollow earth and hyperborea can be emotionally true for practical purposes. the plebs dont need to understand

good luck trying to have science and rationality (both man made concepts that some fag just came up with) and trying to at the same time argue that flat earth and ufo (both man made concepts that some fag just came up with) is incorrect because it doesn't fit in the axiom of the conflicting viewpoint

Free thinkers, user. Yes, some get it really wrong, but the right celebrates diversity instead of dragging dissenters with chains of acceptable speech. It's a new concept to (((you))) as a liberal, I know.

>but the right celebrates diversity
Fucking no.

Everyone knows Alex is just trying to shill water filters. Only leddit and old cuckservatives listen to him.

WE WUZ KANGZ NIGGA

why isn't science hocus pocus?

why are the only people who praise science not actually scientists, but just people who are in love with the idea of being scientists? reddit, gawker, cnn, twitter, tlc, discovery channel, etc?

I've actually never been to space and orbited Earth, so how can I say one way or another if the earth is flat? How can you? You just watched and read a bunch of meme astronomy bullshit on reddit, nasa tv and spacerip?

There's 2 things groups that must be talked about:

1. The Neo-Nazis
National Socialism was once proposed by well-meaning men in suits with combed hair who would present their arguments as any other political party would. After the war, the west despised Nazism, fascism and everything that resembled it. People kept trying to carry on the discussion of national socialism but were shunned and the ideology became incredibly taboo. When something is taboo two things happen: you discourage powerful and intelligent people from publicly supporting your movement and you become enticing to those looking for a some kind of rebellious, contrarian identity.

This identity of a punk Neo-Nazi quickly grew among the white working class and as these members inevitably perpetrated violent acts the media was quick to demonize them at every opportunity. At the same time you had a huge push against segregation, racism and sexism. All of this has led up to the situation we have today where being labelled a racist is career-ending, 'everything is racist and sexist' and Neo-Nazism is an ideology that lower class thugs get into. Regardless of how much people have tried to separate racism from these neo-nazis and neo-nazis from national socialism, it doesn't work because the majority of the population are taught from a young age to despise all these things.

2. The republicans and general rightists
The right has been quite reactionary and conservative for a long time. Many of the policies proposed over the past few decades have been anti-science and pro-religion.

The issue with politics is that it's not all the policies that make the difference, it's just the few individual ones that are important to people and the right will almost always appeal to a religious crowd while the left is the only possible alternative. So what you're going to get in America is inherently, a significant amount of your voter base to be unreasonable people who actually will believe something because it's supposedly come from God rather than some kind of scientific proof. I believe there's a specific type of person and personality who tends to predisposed towards this kind of thinking and when it's not strictly religious you'll find this type of person being spiritual or into some new-age crap.

What's interesting though is that over the recent years the religious see themselves as under attack as science and intellectuals continue to trend towards disagreeing with some really fundamental beliefs they hold. So where are these religious people to go? Well, they have to make a bed within the alternative science community. Very popular media personalities like Alex Jones have played into this very well by managing to collide these two groups together and maintain them both as his audience.

So, a significant chunk of right voters just vote that way because they believe the left encroaches on their religion (I'm sure many Americans dislike muslim immigration solely because they see America as christian land. These same Christians will bend over backwards to import converted Ugandans) and because of the most popular voices in the alt-science movement are quite openly bias against the left..

Its an engineered scheme coupled with a natural proclivity. They found the leaver and wrench on it with all there might.

Yeah, nah, true
Have a left friend who says some really sensible shit sometimes abt power and economics and stuff and then he'll move on to bigfoot and chem trails and third eyes and flouride and getting caught with bird feathers etc.
