pic related is the code 'ETX CPI ASTD GI?' the Key for this code was BLUEBOOK (ignore spaces during calculation) Now, the basic premise of Viginere is that each letter of the key tells you how many letters to go back by, with A being 0, B being 1, C is 2 and so forth. In this case the first letter of the key 'B' sends the first letter of the code back by 1, into 'D'. Second key 'L' sends second code 'T' back 11 letters back to 'I'. 'U' sends 'X' back 20 into 'D'.
oh look, the first 3 letters spell DID. that's promising so you keep going and eventually you get the full decode as 'DID YOU MISS ME?'
Great stuff, but ok, lets see if we can find your second solution. for this we're going to take the 'fake' answer that most people guessed at the end of the episode 'CAN SHE WAKE UP?", and i will agree it seemed plausable due to matching the word/letter count and being partially relavant to the events of the episode. The process to prove (lol) that this code is the answer is to reverse it to a codeword that makes sense. pro tip, all Vigenere key words are either actuall words or at least made up ones that are relevant, so we shouldn't get a random mash of letters for the key. So, turning 'CAN SHE WAKE UP?' into 'ETX CPI ASTD GI?' and turning the required letter shift into a code word. We also have to add 1 for skipping A which is 0, unless the letter didn't shift, in which case it's 'A'. ok, C into E is a 2 letter shift resulting in 'C', A into T becomes 'T', N into X becomes 'K', and so on... until you get your final keyword... CTKKIEESJZMT there's no way that would be a logical key word, but it does turn ETX CPI ASTD GI into CAN SHE WAKE UP.
ANYWAY, point i'm saying is there's no way you could perfectly craft a giant paragraph of text that decodes into 2 legible solutions without having one of your 'key' words be a complete fucking jumble of shit.
