Yep, its real big in burgerland. There are Chili cooking contest in a lot of different locales here.
depends on the region. I cook it fairly often because it's cheap as hell
excellent photo
yes, a lot
Nope, spicy food isn't popular here
wait, really? No peppers no nothing?
Bell peppers? Yes those are pretty popular, but they're not spicy at all.
But really, the standard argie can't stand anything more spicy than chimichurri.
I fucking love it, but I can't find it anywhere here.
No, most definitely not.
In Poland the role of chili (single pot, easy to make vegetable stew with meat) is fullfilled by lecso.
Glorious hungarian dish, very popular here. Variations are endless.
Chili is pretty common here. Chili also made tortillas and beans pretty mainstream. I just made chilis yesterday.
why can't you make it yourself?
oh man that looks good! is it like goulash?
Chili? wtf
Thanks man, I believe chili should have no beans. do you agree?
Just google lecso.
You could probably find a family in europe that makes a goulash and calls it lecso. And the other way around. It's not a precise dish.
I make mine with silesian kielbasa (type of sausage), onions, bell peppers, zucchini and tomatoes. And of course ground paprika, salt and black pepper for spice. But people add even mushrooms.
Both versions are fine by me. It's a mood thing.
Its not chili without beans.
aw man, those pics look pretty good, I will have to make some sometime!
Oh OK! Sorry this debate can get pretty heated sometimes, people care about their chili!
inb4 angry mob of Texans
I like having it with kidney or pinto beans
I have chili posted in other boards and that question really makes some people mad!
Don't worry, it's perfectly normal.
Because you fucking cant fucking make chili without beans.
Do you eat burgers without cheese and mayo?
Do you eat pizzas without pineapple and ham?!
Chili and beans belong in to chili. Without them you are eating pasta sauce.
now I'm curious if those preferences correlate with the bean preference
I came to know the cuisine when I saw this drama in my childhood.
Since then, I've wanted to eat it, however, there were no restaurants which serve this.
Nowadays, we can have it in Wendy's and I sometimes eat it.
I don't like beans so I agree, now chili on the rice is so delicious
Best pic in the thread so far
