Sup Forums unutterably, unimaginably, inexhaustibly BTFO!!!!!

Sup Forums unutterably, unimaginably, inexhaustibly BTFO!!!!!

pretty much describes the leftist dystopia of GOOGLETWITTERFACEBOOK

its actually a nationalist dystopia. did you read the book?

I'll raise you a Brave New World and a We.

1984 is criticizing communism and authoritarian societies.
Sup Forums hates communists and generally leans more towards the libertarian side of the political compass.

It's a love story set in a science fiction environment where a totalitarian state made love impossible.

It has little to nothing to do with politics. Not a bad book though.

>It has little to nothing to do with politics.

The totalitarian state is merely a setting.

Comparing current political situations to it is like comparing someone with Hitler. They might have a thing or two in common, but 99% it's bullshit.

north korea is literally 1984

North Korea does have more in common with it than most countries. That's true.

>The totalitarian state is merely a setting.

more like the love story is a vehicle to demonstrate the wrongs with natsoc

Everyone is voluntarily using Jewgle/Kikebook/Twatter, retard.

>nationalist

retard.
there are three (3) global powers. no nation states.

unless ofcourse you think, "Airstrip 1", sounds independant & autonomous.

I figure that's more Brave New World

like i said previously ITT N.K. is extremely similar to 1984 and if you think N.K isn't nationalist, you have cognitive dissonance

OP literally thinks 1984 is satire about the dangers of preventing multiculturalism

>Not an argument the OP post.

This

>The totalitarian state is merely a setting.

Ok, this hurt a bit
It's not a love story
It's a political drama you retard

It has a lot more to it than just the Wilson-Julia story

It's only a plot mover

And every one is willingly went to the moving pictures. And used the drugs. Remember, a pill a day keeps the blues away!

Fahrenheit 451 is closest to our current world desu

>Something is similar, therefore they are the same
1984 was built as a critique to the Soviet Russian government of the time. If any country is supposed to be made as a proper comparison, it would be that.

>did you read the book?

Did you? In the end they win.

I think you missed the 30 pages in the middle of the book talking about how the Party manages to keep waging an endless war to keep its control over the population, or the part about doublethink, or the Two Minute Hate, or when Winston rams Julia's raw asshole as a symbolic act of rebellion.

There's no actual proof the other two powers exist. Airstrip one could just be a rogue state. Or there could be one world government, creating the illusion of conflict. The closest we see to proof of the conflict of rocket attacks, but the thing with rockets is, you don't see where they came from

you can't even criticize trump on Sup Forums without immediately being outed as a shill. primary example of groupthink

This. Brave New World seems like the leftist utopia.

What are some other books about dystopian futures? So far I've read 1984, A Brave New World, Clockwork Orange, and A Scanner Darkly.

Fahrenheit 451

The hunger games, if you like stupid kids' books that consist of mostly incomplete sentences.

I liked Oryx and Crake in highschool, although it and especially its sequels are focused more on an ecological-dystopian as opposed to a political one. Also, the author, Margret Atwood, is a canadian and a leftist, so theres that; still, I enjoyed her take on the perils of future biotechnology.

What are you talking about? I disagree with Trump on various topics. Disagreeing doesn't make you a shill. Getting riled up over what he says that's designed to rile shills up makes you a shill.

A Canticle for Leibowitz, the Road

might as well recommend Reddit Player One too

WE

North Korea is more like Animal Farm

You know some animals more equal than others and bullshit

Thanks

Stand on Zanzibar
Some of it's predictions are pretty spot-on for a book written in the 60s.

we aren't talking about best Korea. are we.

we're talkijg about something else. something that has nothing to do with best Korea. at all.

Zamyatin's "We"
Noland and Johnson's "Logan's Run"

The regimes Orwell envisioned we're destroyed.

What really happened isn't 1984, but Brave New World.

The Jews figured out it's better to dumb down and pacify the population rather than coerce it.

oh shit is this the same slut?

where can i find more of her?

I agree with this although I don't have one fixed opinion on the story as each time I've read it I've been left with a different opinion on the whole thing.

as for the rocket bombs, quite right.

I do wonder though where they get there enemy combatants from. but this to could be a play for for the misdirection of the civilian population, both proles & party members alike.

Have you actually read these books or did you just use sparknotes?

If it's been a while, you probably need to read again

>disgustingly fat stomach
>disgustingly fat ass
>disgustingly fat thighs
>checks flag

Checks out.

animal farm is a huge metaphor for the soviet rise to power (the ending is basically the USSR trying to sign deals before WW2 broke out)

Fuck off dickhead

She looks pretty good.

I'd bang more than once.

Is brave new world supposed to be dystopian? Maybe at the time it was written. Of the 2 people who are really disenfranchised by the system, one is a primitive bastard and the other is a handicap.
I guess maybe thats the twist. Brave new world doesnt seem so dystopian now because were already 3/4 there

The Handmaids' Tale accurately describes Europe about 3 years from now

how is that? I can remember that it had very strict class seperation. isnt that waht leftists are against?

Checked.

"The program of the Two Minutes Hate varied from day to day, but there was none in which [Donald Trump] was not the principal figure. He was the primal traitor, the earliest defiler of the [Clinton] Party's purity. All subsequent crimes against the [Clinton] Party, all treacheries, acts of sabotage, heresies, deviations, sprang directly out of [Trump's] teaching."

George Orwell - 1984

Germany keeping up their image of being the biggest faggots on the planet.

You're a disgrace to the Führer.

Leftists want class seperation and then class obliteration. Closet Genocidists? Probably.

Oh look, its the fat acceptance brigade.

>You're a disgrace to the Führer.
The guy had issues with women. If anything Hans is staying true to him.

yeah, but the issue was him idolizing women.

>nationalist dystopia
>world is divided between three shifting supranational entities

Please stop

The captured soldiers that get executed in the book are described as being asiatic and mongoloid, so they would have to be sourced from outside the state.

Also airstrip one was recovering from a limited nuclear attack during the protagonists childhood so there must have been other combatants at some point.

I still think that Fahrenheit is more apot on than any of these books.

>completely into interactive media
>censorship is god

This. Sorry, didn't see your post before i posted.

That's because there are about 5 'drumpf btfo' threads at any one time.

If you want to criticise trump intelligently then do so, drop the confrontational approach and bait threads.

Brave new world is very different from 1984 in that people are bred and conditioned into whatever society needs. There is no free will no freedom. It's one of the most scary and degenerate dystopias.

I do highly recommend reading Fahrenheit 451 I think it comes.mucj closer to our world as is.

don't act like an intelligent criticism against trump won't garner anti-shill replies. i've seen it happen too many times. most noticeably is Sup Forums's disregard towards little man shapiro

Orwell really didn't like how the communists rather genocided the anarchists/"moderate" socialists instead of allying against Franco and friends in the spanish civil war

This is why Sup Forums hates shills

Haven't read him but someone told me that he reflects reality pretty well.

Is this correct?

The climax to brave new world when Mustapha Mond was roasting the crew like crazy was the shit yo

It's a mixed of both and more less known dystopian utopia
Those books are like the bible to the leftists, their perfect guide

High-Rise is p gud
I wouldnt describe him as a "realistic" writer though.

Yes, especially with things you see on the mainstream media and holocaust laws
but from an objective standpoint 1984 is not some perfect masterpiece, I would rate it 7/10

I was talking about Ballard, not 1984.
