The Patreon strip for about the next 30 minutes

I want to comment on Willis' site why Mike thinks being gay is worthy of black mail and thus something to be shameful of but I know he'd just delete me.

So is like, every Willis character fucking terrible? How can he stand to write such bad characters day after day?

Willis... doesn't actually delete all criticism, does he? That's all just hyperbole from you mad faggots, right? Right?

It's not that being gay makes him worthy of blackmail. Mike thinks everyone is worthy of blackmail. Being gay is just something that can be exploited.

They're not bad to him. From his point of view, the good characters he writes are bad.

He has the inability to think that people will instantly understand his intention when he writes the comic. We sympathized with Mary, which clearly he didn't want us to think. We thought Toedad was right and Becky was just a cunt who became a carpet chewer to piss off her parents and be "quirky". And we were right.

I've been wanting to post this one all day.

before you can even post on the website he has to approve your first comment

He does delete all criticism under the guise of "they're just trolls" or "this is a safe space"

He has word filters on, the most famous being changing the sentence "she just wanted to study" to "it's about ethics in game journalism"

I miss doing that to my online friends.
I had a whole word doc on all of them just in case, and yet when drama tore the group apart, I was the only one everyone still liked.

holy shit. IS WILLIS REAL

>the next strip isn't Ethan dragging Mike into some room to fix him with his dick

Somehow, yes.

We're not sure how he managed to get a steady gig drawing canonical pornography of his characters, either.

it's the best selling thing on slipshine too which is extra sad

And here's the next strip!

This is still really dumb, but at least Ethan is putting his foot down somewhat.

I believe it's less so "the best selling thing" and more that there's a surge in one-month subscriptions whenever Willis posts a new one. It's a short-term success for Slipshine.

I thought Mike was supposed to be "The Part of Willis Who Says Things That Are Assholish That Willis Himself Would Never Openly Say in Public Conversation".
Is Mike now actively trying to sabotage the happiness of others? I'm confused.

Does Willis LIKE any of his characters anymore? I can't even tell whose side we're supposed to be on in this one.

oh god, this is referencing a really shitty shortpacked story line where both Amber and Ethan thought Mike was hot

Mike fucked Ethan just to make Amber mad (but Mike's not gay he's a force of nature)

Amber blackmailed Mike into marrying her and impregnating her

Please Willis, don't make me hate Mike, he's only I have left besides Mary

>Is Mike now actively trying to sabotage the happiness of others? I'm confused.
that's literally all mike is. the only way he settled down in the old timeline was mutual hate lust

>we will never get every character in dumbing of age knocked up

>all of the comments for this strip on the site are asking why Mike is such an asshole and how much they hate him
>Willis accidentally made one of his favorite characters problematic
>He has to either make Mike one of the weekly villains a la Mary or double down on Mike's assholishness and loose patreon bux

Mmmm I can't wait

its about fucking time

>oh god, this is referencing a really shitty shortpacked story line where both Amber and Ethan thought Mike was hot
Time for another dumb rehash in this shitty world constructed out of rehashes.

In another callback, it'll be Mary.
And then in a further callback, she'll get an abortion again.

I'm still deeply disappointed that the entire pregnancy and abortion essentially happened off-panel. Seeing a devout Christian struggle with how her faith affects her choices and personal autonomy is ten times more interesting than anything else that happened in It's Walky!

This is what happens when an Online Personality has engineered his works to the point of maximum efficiency. They lose all creative spark and ultimately his characters become a matter of bookkeeping.

Using X character for Y Plot will generate Z points of internet cred.

Simple: When a Christian has to cancel a pregnancy for one reason or another, it's called an 'induction'. Branding is everything.

I just Googled that, and it sounded like a much more traumatizing form of abortion than the typical method. No wonder Mary's so messed up when we see her again.

After I had some surgery a few years ago, my pain meds ruined my sleep schedule. I was always tired but couldn't sleep. One of the things I did late at night was archive-dive webcomics. I found this one about a woman who worked at an abortion clinic and got pregnant. It dealt with a lot of the conflicting emotions and goes through the whole pregnancy.

Once I was off my meds, I decided that the art and plotting were bad enough that almost all of it felt insincere and just... incorrect.

I can't remember what it was called, but if pregnancy and abortion stuff is up your alley, you might be able to look past the art and its other flaws.

I eagerly await his decision.

I like where this is going.

Every character is by extension a facet of him.

And WIllis is an objectively terrible person in every sense of the word.

>Amber blackmailed Mike into marrying her

I don't get how him smiling when drunk is in any way blackmail, or why he would give in to it. So what if he smiled while drunk? Why should he give a fuck what others think? He doesn't strike me as the sort.

What kind of twisted pride would make you give in to not letting anyone know you SMILED to the extent of MARRIAGE? Covering up embezzlement or killing a guy, okay I could see. But simply SMILING? It flies in the face of logic.
