According to Kametsu, there is going to be a Gumball bomb at 5pm ET daily in two weeks followed by new episodds every week.
There might even be a Season 5 episode airing (contradicting what has been said about the airdate of the Season thus far).
Monday August 15th: The Roots >Nicole is worried that Darwin's not satisfied with being part of the family. The Wattersons try everything to make Darwin feel more at home, but after everything they try fails, they come to the conclusion that it's time to let him go.
Tuesday August 16th: The Blame >Gumball lets Billy play videogames for the first time and he faints from excitement. Felicity wants to ban video games from the school as a result of this so Gumball and Darwin try to appeal the ban.
Wednesday August 17th: The Slap >Gumball feels left out when Tobias doesn't greet him with his special high five slap.
Thursday August 18th: The Detective >Anais believes Gumball and Darwin have stolen Daisy, so she sets out to find them.
Friday August 19th: The Fury >The children are amazed when they see their mother insulted by a total stranger, who later turns out to be Masami's mother.
So, is there a real and official reason for changing the design of the eyes of the Wattersons in the middle of the show?

What happened with the animation was that Irish funding for the show was cut which lead to Boulder Media (an Irish studio which was the original 2D animation studio) to terminate their services to CNDSE. Due to this, the 2D animation was done in house for the next season and everyone was redesigned due to all of this along with general budget cuts. Starting with Season 3, the animation process was switched over to Great Marlborough Productions which is essentially a puppet studio of Turner Europe.
The change of writing was probably due to the inexperience of the writing crew and the horribly troubled production of that season (four episodes were cut due to budget cuts and the show was originally meant to come out in late 2011 at earliest).
