I disagree, fusion is not always a sex analogy. It can be, but I really think it's more of a "synergy between two people" thing. That can be sex or at least pleasure-based, (Arguably Sugilite, definitely Rainbow Quartz) but it can be a whole other thing, like trusting each other to achieve a singular goal together (Opal, the Rubies). I think Stevonnie is definitely the latter at this point, and also just the feeling of being with someone you love who REALLY gets you. Also, the show uses their fusion to tackle more teenager-specific situations. When we see them fusing the way Rose Quartz and Pearl did or the way Garnet and Pearl did, as in just because it feels nice and they want to, then the show might be going for sex. But for now, all their fusions have been for a specific purpose or by accident as a result of them doing something together in sync. Nothing sexual about that... At least, not yet.
Idk if that makes you feel less gross about it or not. Just my 2 cents.
