Why is France so empty?

Why is France so empty?

We could have double our current population and still have a lower population density than Germany and the UK. Imagine a France with demographic power of 130 million French people. We would be the undisputed masters of Europe.

So what went wrong?

centralization
Germany was united later so the focus towards one city was less of a factor, similar with Italy

revolution happened

that will be a long list

>So what went wrong?
Nothing. Manpower is overrated anyway. You outnumber Swiss 6 to 1, their country is a fraction the size of yours, and they're still a lot more richer and better off than you.

Automatization and robotic factories are just on the cusp of going mainstream, breeding for no reason is literally Africa tier, which is where i'm guessing you're from. We have an overpopulation crisis on this planet and we absolutely have no need for more people, let alone for such a stupid reason as your idea. What are those people going to do when everything is done in ~10-20 years by automated systems, hmmmm? Sit in your black and muslim suburbs and get free welfare?

Dumb frog.

And Spain?, which is far more empty than france and one of the more decentralized countries in europe lol

Spain has been a collective since several hundred years.

>when everything is done in ~10-20 years by automated systems

Full automation in countries isn’t going to happen that soon. Also job less due to automation is a myth that has been debunked many times. There will be new jobs.

You never realized everything was centered on goddamn Paris on this huge green desert?
without Paris France is nothing, France is less relevant than Portugal without his capital city.

It's fine as it is. Not every bit of land has to be occupied by habitations, stay in Paris if you want to be constantly surrounded by people and suffer overpriced real estate.
Besides, more people means less arable land and vineyards, and those are the very reason why we have the best food in the world.

to live on the countryside you need to be rich, this is nothing but elitism, if you are too poor or just average, you are forced to live around Paris to get a job in the middle of that goddamn real estate, that pollution, that cold weather and those dirty immigrants chimping out.

Isn't it very mountainous? Also lots of shoreline which is/was better to settle on (warmer, you can fish)

La creatura....

Invade rural towns, fuck everything with a vagina and get up those birthrates, duh.

>muuuuh switzerland is better
not all countries can be tax heaven otherwise there would be no benefit to hide your money there..

I meant in like, factories and such.

>Also job less due to automation is a myth that has been debunked many times
Debunked by whom? It's a fucking lie.
>There will be new jobs.
Maybe. Maybe not. I was just talking about automation and robotics. I didn't even factor in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Please watch this video, it's very educational. youtube.com/watch?v=fjs2gPa5sD0

It was the Bourbons's strategy to develop only one city to have everything nearby. Same case with Spain and Madrid.

why is madrid in the middle of nowhere

>We could have double our current population
S-so I can come?

nobody likes french

+ Many Germans and Italians migrated to the new world

everybody loves germany

>The French population only grew by 8.6% between 1871 and 1911, while Germany's grew by 60% and Britain's by 54%.[13] Ferdinand Foch joked that the only way for France to permanently improve its relationship with Germany was to castrate 20 million Germans.[14] If the population of France had grown between 1815 and 2000 at the same rate as that of Germany during the same time period, France's population would have been 110 million in 2000; Germany grew at a much faster rate despite its very substantial emigration to the Americas, and its larger military and civilian losses during the World Wars than France. If France's population had grown at the same rate as that of England and Wales (which was also siphoned off by emigration to the Americas, Australia and New Zealand), France's population could have been as much as 150 million in 2000.

Yeah, at some point in the early 1800s/late 1700s french birth rates collapsed and never really recovered

This. Muh Population growth is a meme that capitalist have duped White populations into believing in an attempt to justify the harmful policies of the ruling elite.

>We could have double our current population and still have a lower population density than Germany and the UK.
I don't think that's how it works.
