Calling Paradise Towers awful literally kills the thread. Proof enough that it's GOAT.

Reminder she has an almost exact porn lookalike

How many years into Chibnall's run will people start going "WTF I MISS MOFFAT NOW"? I remember Series 7 was around the time all the complaints about Rose and RTD's finales started to dissipate and people actually admitted to missing Davies.

>calling paradise towers awful literally kills /who/

This needs to happen more often

Could just be a gallifreyan word that Susan turned into an english acronym

>ywn stick your gunstick in and EXTERMINATE

Depends on Chinballs' streak. S7 was when Moff really started to lose it, so that's when they got nostalgic.

By the end of the first episode

That will depend on how fast the Chibnall era goes to shit.

I still think Series 6 is worse, that River Song arc was a disaster

androgynous companion when?

If this post ends with dubs than Jodie Whittaker will be the first Doctor in history to be raped and emotionally scared to the point that rivals the Hell of the Time War.

If this post ends with dubs, all of that happens to you.

>Race capable of time travel and intergalactic travel needs to manipulate humanity for ~2000 years to make a 1960s era space suit because apparently they can't do it themselves
>Needs it to be piloted by muh River Song for some reason instead of literally anyone else ever

I think it's an inevitable part of Doctor Who. As long as it keeps running for years and years, under different showrunners, there will always be a moment where people will regard previous "era's" in a better way than they regarded them as they were airing.

>in your sleep
Coward.

>the first person to say doctor who is the doctor
didnt expect that tbqhwyf

If this post ends with dubs then Jodie Whittaker will be the first Doctor in history to rape and emotionally scar a cute little twink companion to the point that rivals the Hell of the Time War.

GOLDEN
AGE

That guy was great in Humans. Pretty sad.

ooh

What's /who/ with you?

Just finished the new 12th Doctor novels, the usual NSA throwaway fare.
Plague City was the best of the three but still not great. Diamond Dogs was the worst. The Shining Man was only remarkable because of the SPLINK reference.

>/who/ presents:
DOCTOR WHO: SHIT TRIPS Vol. 2
- The Anthology -

>Are you a true fan of Doctor Who?
>Have you ever written down a sequence of words?

If the answer is yes or no, then you are ready to contribute a literary masterpiece to the second /who/ collection of original Doctor Who-based short fiction.

/who/ did it once. Now, we're gonna do it again! Yet another entry in an age-old tradition of p̶a̶c̶k̶a̶g̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶f̶a̶n̶f̶i̶c̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶g̶e̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶a̶i̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶l̶e̶g̶i̶t̶i̶m̶a̶c̶y̶ / celebrating the magic of Who and the talent of a community.

There are no limits (except the story must be at least 1 word long, and preferably not in excess of 10,000, it's short fiction you fuck).

>- Can involve any Doctor(s), companion(s), side characters, spinoff characters and beyond, as your heart desires
>- Can be in any style, whether it's "legitimate writing", "pisstake", or "shitpost".
>- Can be about absolutely anything
>- The main focus is on good fun in the vein of the wiki, although serious entries are allowed. (If you're going to write smut, maybe approach it with a degree of levity)

Stuck for ideas? Try starting with your favourite TARDIS team (or for timeliness, Whittaker 13th Doctor) and one of these authentic titles:
saberpunk.net/DoctorWho/DoctorWhoSerialGenerator.php
glyphobet.net/drwho

We are going to be starting an index on the wiki for the collection. Anyone can contribute, no signups/pitches required. If you have ideas, feel free to broadcast them.
The rest is self-explanatory. Format for uploading your work is up to you, as long as it can be conveniently copied across (and ideally don't spam long texts in /who/ directly). (Pastebin works well.)

BONUS: Anyone who wants to do cover art or "illustrations" is encouraged.

WE NEED MORE ENTRIES.

The due date is August 3rd to send in your ideas and/or stories.

It still makes my head hurt

Gotta hand it to them, the fuckers running the Brig book range are fast. Well played.

Fucking Hell hahah

>Candy Jar Books
>Hire Jim Mortimore because you want a writer who's worked on Doctor Who books
>Fire him because you think he's too weird
I don't know what they expected.

I think it's logical. People tend to focus on the bad parts of the show they're watching, and look back fondly on the better parts of the show when it was run differently. I miss RTD's camp adventures and subtle hints at the finale (Bad Wolf, Saxon, bees) and think Moffat's attempts at those subtle hints were worse (Crack, Missy appearing at the end of almost every episode, Vault).

I think in time I will miss Moffat's "timey wimey" storylines. He relied on it was too much but I think in a couple of years I'll miss that particular trope (assuming Chibnall doesn't use it).

Series is 6 godawful and a real letdown after the only great series of Moffat's run, Series 5. The Doctor's Wife and The God Complex are the only great eps, the Silence and Flesh two parters are okay. The rest is mindless crap.

>watching parts 2-4

Closing Time is fucking GOAT you cunt

is that bad

>this is considered twink material

Wew

What are some good NuWho books worth owning?

>Bonus points for Ten

The Girl Who Waited is great. I also don't mind A Good Man Goes to War.
Let's Kill Hitler is one of my least favorite episodes of Doctor Who ever aired though.

Never read any novels. Are they any good? Any NuWho novels I should definitely read?

It's just a short, I guess they had it in the pipeline then when Sunday came they just filled in the blank.

I unironically love Let's Kill Hitler

Prisoner of the Daleks, The Eyeless

Haven't read any Tennant books.
Try The Eyeless, people say that it's the best New Series novel, and it's by Parkin so it can't be bad.

>Pic

Shit, that's not supposed to be there.

I can't wait for Let's Kill Trump in a few decades

Series 6 was unironically my favorite Smith season.

I unironically loved Mel. She should have stolen a dolorean though not a corvette.

Touched by an Angel

Sending my entry for Shit Trips 2:
>Solitude
It features the 13th Doctor and some OCs. It's a short little story inspired by SCP entries.
drive.google.com/file/d/0B7-MELk2za27NGM5bUhaMWpKcnc

Criticisms and etc are welcome.

This desu. While Cybusmen are the worst Cybermen, Closing Time is a good enough Cyberman episode. Even the 'power of love' ending, while dumb, had more place in an episode about Cybermen than most.

I also just rewatched Age of Steel two parter for the first time since it aired and was surprised by how good it was. Again, Cybusmen are my least favouite Cybermen, but the plot was perfectly fine and it was character kino for Pete and Mickey.

Doctor, why are we still here? Just to suffer?

so we just upload our stories to a pastebin when we finish and post it here?

>Briggs Finish scrapping the barrel with New Earth and Jenny spin-off before touching Pete's World.

C'mon they can do so much there, they've got like three distinct timeframes, Post-Age of Steel, Post-Doomsday, and Post-Journey's End. They can breathe life to the old Rose Tyler: Earth Defender concept as well as make a new Cyberman series.

Only Human is the best for 9, Deep Time for 12.
I wouldn't say it's must-read stuff, but those are good.

Apart from everything else, it's wonderful that the Doctor remembers the Brigadier, no matter what the body. It's heartwarming, really.

Thanks. I'm gonna read it.

Yes. Try to post it as a response to me, so I know that it's been sent.

The Silence were great in their first two episodes but then he made them priests and everything made no sense

Do you have a name you want to use as the author?

Nah, he'll just be a bumbling oaf like Nixon

John Smith > The Doctor
Shouldn't have changed back.

Anonymous will do just fine.

Thanks!

>13 talks to 12 before he regenerates
>"I cheated death thanks to you. And thanks to you, I've left my mark. You have too - you've written your own history. You're your own man. I'm the Doctor, and you are too... No. He's the two of us. Together. Where we are today? We built it. This story - this "legend", it's ours. We can change the world - and with it, the future. I am you, and you are me. Carry that with you wherever you go. Thank you, my friend. From here on out, you're the Doctor."

...

I legitimately actually want this now

Holy fuck that's legit great

Welcome to Doctor Who covers, you should see Big Finish.

I read it. You've written in the "surreal Who" genre, which I love. The ending made me sad, though. Does she come back?

You should write a whole Shit Trips 2 entry for this. Do it, pls.

Sixie is my favorite Doctor thanks to Big Finish. Is this a common occurrence?

Also, would you please place your fic in a Google Doc form? PDFs make my job a lot harder.

I'm pretty sure he topped a favourite Big Finish Doctor poll in DWM so yes.

lol

If I wanted to write myself into a Doctor Who story. Which Doctor would most likely have a transgender companion? Bonus points if you don't say 13.

I just finished the second story of Trial of a Time Lord, Mindwarp.

Man, what a shocking twist, and what an intriguing tale. II already know some aspects of what is coming up, due to it being "lore" at this point, and discussed endlessly, but Mindwarp still managed to shock and entertain me.

This is good stuff.

8

Probably Tennant I guess.

Any of them would accept a transgender companion.

Eight would work.

What the fuck is Gallifrey Base?

I know this would sound played out, but wouldn't 13 empathize more with a transgender companion for obvious reasons?

Mindwarp isn't too shabby of a story, particularly for the era it's in.

I think of Seven and Nine. Take that as you will.

My body is ready. But is his?

Why Nine? He's more of a realist.

The story itself is fine but it's the ending, and the way the trial goes that is the most exciting. And yes I know there might be a bit of unreliable narrator going on, but it's still great to see Six react and defend himself

Not really. Any Doctor after One has experienced a transition of sorts, so any of them would be fine with the idea.

>being this new

You should lurk for maybe a thousand more years before posting

Doctor Who forum run by Phil Mitchell.

the doctor is a girl lmfao

nurse who

Out of curiosity, do you guys think there'll be scenes where the doctor struggles with physical changes of going from usually a 6ft man to a 5'5 woman.

Obviously I'm not talking about periods and shit, but just physical scenes where she's fighting or gripping something. Sorry for being autistic but just interested if they'll consider it during the first series with her .

>Does she come back?
No, the Doctor's dead an the TARDIS knows, but it's still waiting in vain hopes. I was originally going to leave it more open but I think this is the more tragic ending.
Also, thank you very much for reading it.

Sure, it's like this?
docs.google.com/document/d/199GL2bGoHs_4wbbgIhbWXzpQOr-Dr6usVs_irJ6AxGM

I think it's down to the RTD influence of the era. Nine also had omnisexual Jack Harkness as a companion, mind.

DOCTOR WHO MORE LIKE DOCTOR POO
