As someone who's never gotten into Star Wars, how should I watch it?

Prequel trilogy -> Rogue One -> Original trilogy -> Sequel trilogy?

Original trilogy -> Prequel trilogy -> Sequel trilogy & Rogue One?

probably order of release

4-5-1-2-3-6

keeps the twist intact

This, but skip the prequels. They don't factor into the sequel at all, and they're godawful. As I'm sure you've heard by now. You really won't miss anything by not seeing them.

Just watch A New Hope, that's the only one that really needed to be made

Machete order honestly.

4-5-2-3-6

bunnyfu is perfect

Skip the sequels. Watch the OT and if you still have a craving for Star Wars watch the PT. And if you still have a craving watch Rogue One.

Always watch things by release date.
The prequels are filled with references to the original trilogy, and so on.

Watch the prequels then the original trilogy, ignore the new films.

This is some patrician shit right here.

Don't watch R1 it sucked

It's leagues of legends better than TFA.

Fuck off to reddit, the prequels were decent.

You can skip TPM, and not miss a thing. Even all the shit with Anakin's mom is covered in AotC. All you need to know is "Anakin was a slave on Tattooine, the Jedi recruited him, and his mom stayed behind".

4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6.

Throw the new ones in the trash.

...

R-4-1-2-3-5-6-7

Honestly you only need to watch 4-5-6-R1

Original Trig -> Prequel -> Sequel -> Skip rougue one.

Sup Forums has a massive hateboner for TFA but it's pretty solid imo.

Rogue one has a bunch of issues with pacing and characters. It was very clearly a much longer movie originally that just got massively cut for time, and the protagonists are very very boring. I'd still give it a go, though.

But Jynnie.
