Static Shock was a really good show, whatcha expect?

Kek. Source?
Pretty sure the ball was already rolling before then.

You'd be correct:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Lightning

Think its from Irredeemable.

Is it really a stereotype if there is no basis in facts or reality?

But yeah, the only black super in DC without electric power is John Stewart and Bronze Tiger

So did he gave him an orgasm or something cause that face sure ain't indicating pain

Maybe electric black men are his fetish.

Probably yeah. There doesn't seem to be a real source to it besides Black Lightning. It just keeps happening.

Some of it is when they had to make legally distinct versions of Black Lightning like Black Vulcan because of rights issues.

>Vixen

Are you counting technology as electric powers?

Then Static was made as an homage. Meanwhile Storm is Claremont's weather goddess fetish which means she uses lightning by necessity.

>Duke Thomas

Yeah, which is why I didn't list Cyborg.
Point. I stand corrected

What stereotype?

What about speedsters? They have lightning of course on their designs but obviously it's not actually electricity.

Freeza's really hit some hard times.

I already stand corrected, but you are right as well, though I always thought of Speedforce as sentient electricity

Why does that stand have a huuuuge cock?

It's not really a stereotype, it's more of a meme. All you've really got for black guys with electrical powers is Black Lightning, Static, and Storm. They're all high profile heroes, but not the only black heroes out there.
