Of course it can't be! Otherwise how could the United States be the greatest country in the world?

Americans never retire when they stop working at age 75 they're made into glue

How can you save money for retirement when you can't even put food on your family

Bring it down to 65 and thats a pretty good system

>needing retirement savings
>not having national pension for all citizens

I plan to retire abroad desu :3
I wont be in my 60's or 70's working at walmart being miserable.

What is your excuse for being poor?

bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-11-21/cheer-up-america-1-700-millionaires-are-minted-every-day

>At the same time, the country is also home to an unprecedented amount of wealth, a divergence that has made income inequality a household phrase.

>America has $55.6 trillion in private financial assets and more millionaires than any other nation in the world by far.

>Today, more than 8 million households have financial assets of $1 million or more, not including homes or luxury goods, according to Boston Consulting Group. From 2010 to 2015, the number of millionaires jumped by 2.4 million. Another 3.1 million will be created by 2020, BCG estimates, at the pace of 1,700 new American millionaires every day.

It's common. Most Americans have awful financial sense or are stuck working shitty jobs.

>his country didn't go from an absolutely deteriorated state pension to a privately funded system
>his country's government then didn't noticed they now had way less tax revenue once they were not allowed to tax wages as much since they were not paying pensions anymore
>his government didn't hold a referendum for people to vote if they wanted to stay with private funded pension to which over 90% of people said yes
>his government didn't nationalize the system anyways a year later to bring all that cash in and ended up using for non-pension related spending
>his government then didn't offer retirements and pensions to people that had never ever had a job in their life, practically doubling the pension spending overtime, arguing that "the economy will grow and you won't even notice"
>his country then actually grew instead of being stagnant for the next 10 years, with population growing so the actual GDP per capita went down
lmao first worlders living life on easy mode, where's the excitement and the wonder of "will I have an above minimum-wage pension when I retire?"

Kek

Communism has failed in Europe and China.
Only though capitalism can the individual find growth and fulfillment.
If people are too lazy to save money for retirement, they deserve to die young.

Is any of that keeping you from retiring with a full pension at 65?

>If people are too lazy to save money for retirement, they deserve to die young.

More or less. Lots of retired people are getting less than the minimum wage, actually. Pensions are still being paid, at the cost of debt and prolonged inflation. Most countries know better than to use their debt money on stupid stuff like welfare, preferring instead to use it in actually developing stuff; infrastructure that can help trading, expanding and maintaining already existing systems. But not here.
People that have never worked will retire, die, and their children will be left paying that debt. Worse than that, some pics began propping up a few months ago, signs near the borders advertising that it didn't matter if you had never had a job or if you weren't even Argentinian, the local lawyer could get you a pension. All of that was of course to guarantee votes for the local populist in charge at the time.
But lets say you want to save your money? Good luck, our government can't be trusted with our own currency, we've had like 2 digit inflation rates for 10 years. Banks? In 2001 the government literally locked down all saving deposits with Dollars, the ideal currency to save your wealth in this banana republic, took the dollars, put pesos instead, and devaluated the peso. You had your life savings there? Well, congrats, you now have half of that. Was that legal? No. But the government attorneys intentionally stalled the trials, lots of the oldfags dying of old age, never to be compensated. Taking your money abroad? A fairly common move among people that can afford it, usually mid to upper class. But the government has recently signed a bunch of agreements with other countries to exchange that kind of information and tax appropriately.
There's just no winning. You'll have a shit retirement, and you'll like it. Daddy government knows better than you, saying otherwise means you hate poor and old people.

Go away Charlie Kirk, the world is a bit more nuanced than Ronald Reagan shouting "Communism versus Capitalism" from his retirement home

some old people find work better than just waiting for death

>Mexicans in charge of working for something now to gain later
Difference between first and third world.

this
there is no excuse for being poor in 2018

>>Today, more than 8 million households have financial assets of $1 million or more

A million dollar net worth today is not a bar worth pretending is some amazing feat. Having a home, car and standard family assets can put you there on that line, yet you're nothing special. People treat the word "Million" like it's still 1950

According to Sup Forums having a minimum wage job and over $1000 saved makes you a bourgeoise jew or whatever. This board's standards are lower than /r9k/.

I'm not sure that's true, but it would be depending on who you talk to here, I mean in a poor as fuck country with an atrocious job market, having that is an achievement. And let's be honest, r9k is mostly pathetic first worlders who have had an easy life, never have to struggle for anything and hence have way too much time to think about (and inflate) their problems.

Well yeah but I mean from first world countries it seems the self expectations here are pitifully low. Not sure if it's ironic but it feels like some people here think you're "chad" if you're not obese and talked to a girl in the last year.

Well there are also a lot of cunts who live off neetbux and live with mum and dad and who live out their fantasies of seeing the world and interacting with foreigners through this board.
