That's how it was, senpai. They were co-opted by different nations during their struggle for independence, whether Greek or Slavic (Pitu Guli etc). Didn't really develop a national identity in time to be able to forge their own path.
Aromanians that fought for the Greeks were the fiercest Greeks, the ones that fought for the Slavs were the fiercest Slavs and, unsurprisingly, they were also the fiercest Legionaries of Codreanu's Iron Guard in Romania.
