Look at all that lack of talent

DUDE CHINESE SOUP LMAO

I wanna rawdog kristen wiig so fucking bad

I tried to watch it because HBO aired it once.
holy shit, it was so boring, none of the jokes are funny, and til these days I still question myself why would Hemsworth agreed to play in this shitshow

AND WHY THE HELL THEY JUST RANDOMLY DANCING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVIE?

>I still question myself why would Hemsworth agreed to play in this shitshow

does he have some impressive body of work that leads you to think he is a distinguished actor or something?

I love how after all of the crying and bitching about how you're evil if you didn't like this that it was a failure anyway. Everyone wants to be the victim but no-one wants to actually support the movie they vehemently defend

>til these days I still question myself why would Hemsworth agreed to play in this shitshow

You must be one dumb cunt if you can't figure out why an actor did a role. Here's a hint, it rhymes with Winnie-the-Pooh's favourite food.

Feminists are cowards. They don't want to be associated with anything that is a failure. They want to be on the winning side regardless of if it's morally right or wrong.

nah, as much as mediocre Hemsworth is, I wondered what made him read the script and then just "yep, I'll play in this movie".
maybe he lost a bet or something?

Chris Hemsworth acted circles around everyone else in this film. You can tell it was lightly scripted.
The only line I enjoyed is when Hemsworth's character goes up to a fishtank and says "Aquariums are just submarines for fish".

Cunny?

>and til these days I
Are you a robot made in Poland?

yes

the consensus is clear mister sony, your movie division sucks

best answer for everything

I saw it in theaters when it came out. I remember thinking it was an all right movie. I wouldn't call it good, but just all right. I'd give it a five out of ten.

They're all pretty talented.

I was never under it

I should say that I never saw the first film, so maybe that's why I was kind of indifferent to it while everybody else blasted it.

Only way this could work would be if they were all daughters of the old Ghostbusters and they were all newer female talent written in a similiar comedic styling to the old movies. Anyone agree?

We're trying to be but you keep posting about it.

It's major issue was that it wasn't funny. And that doesn't necessarily conflate to the gender of those involved, but it's a wider issue with comedy coming out of the US right now that Apatow and his ilk have fostered over the past decade or so, along with SNL and all their shit. It's this process of feeding the performers lines or having them improv a scene 50+ times and then cutting it all together at the end.

Perhaps at the start of its run this was fine, but it's just so played out. It makes everything stilted. Like a later episode of Family Guy.

I thought it wasn't that bad other than Leslie Jones. I will never understand who her fans are.

That would be fucking stupid.

Never forget

i was over it before it came out

F-FUCK OFF ALREADY ALT-REICH. FEMINISM IS HERE. IT WASN'T A FLOP THE MEN SKEWED THE DATA

real talk though, it still rustles my jimmies when feminists include this in collages of "new sci fi female icons" as if
A) even the original ghostbusters were "icons" and it wasn't just a fun film
B) the movie wasn't a complete failure that no one, young girls included, bothered to go see

It's not terrible, it's just mediocre. It's the worst kind of film in the sense that it's just really, really boring. It would be long forgotten if not for all of the expertly crafted "controversy" built up around the film in order to accumulate free, low effort viral marketing that didn't really pay off.

>calls avgn a whiny man baby

I watched that video he did and he was very reasonable about it. You can tell these "news" sites exaggerate shit all the time, not just for traffic, but to encourage unnecessary hate and spite to be directed at people they don't like.

Can't we all just bond over the one thing we all enjoy...Tonsil Stone Removal Videos.

Literally just a photo of some girls.

What point are you trying to make here

youtube.com/watch?v=avCMAm_r-Jg

Like I said, it's literally just a photo of some girls. If you interpret that as some underhanded attempt to make a point, that really reveals a lot about your character.

The Western world, desperate for alternative sources of energy, has embarked on a radical plan to see if they can sustain itself entirely on Girl Power.

So what was the point you were trying to make here

The only way it would have worked is if they could find a group of actresses with the same kind of natural chemistry as the original. A remake wouldn't have worked with a male cast, for that reason too. They took a heavily cast driven movie and replaced the cast, expecting it to work flawlessly.

>I still question myself why would Hemsworth agreed to play in this shitshow

That's interesting

because he's a literal numale cuck

user, just because you buzzword doesn't make it true

This was the only good thing that resulted from that movie

I actually though he was the best part of the movie.

>plays the Norse god of thunder
>is 6 foot 4 and jacked
>australian
>blonde hair, blue eyed
>user on Sup Forums thinks he's a numale

never change, Sup Forums

It had a few redeeming qualities.

The Ghostbusters episode was the thing that made me watch RLM so that's pretty nice.

Though it seems now everyone on Sup Forums pretty much hates them.

tfw you were introduced to rlm through half in the bag but quickly switched to watching the true patrician youtube series best of the worst

>AND WHY THE HELL THEY JUST RANDOMLY DANCING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVIE?
Dance off, bro! You and me!

True, The Ghostbusters episode got me interested, BOTW got me hooked.

People are finally admitting this movie was terrible instead of mediocre.

>Dude Im fat and loud lmao
>Dude Im a frumply plain Jane lmao
>Dude Im fat and black lmao
>Dude Im a lesbian lmao

>decide to watch ghostbusters a few months ago because I've never seen it before
>be drunk, accidentally torrent the new one
>watch the first half hour or so out of curiosity
>think "huh, this is pretty stupid"
>download original, sit down to watch it
>wait entire movie for it to get good, it doesn't
>finish it, think "huh, that was pretty stupid
>realize the original is only liked for nostalgia's sake and new one is only hated because feminism boogeyman
you people need to get a life

Trump is right about the media

Good one.

90s kid here

someday we will look back on it as not so bad. we will yearn for the days when it was only this bad.

They should've at least worked on a script. This approach of "lets riff for hours then try to assemble something in editing" doesn't work that well.

>things that never happened

Loser in life

>I will never understand who her fans are.
Middle aged white women. 100% serious.

Middle Aged white men are the biggest consumer of cuckoldry porn as well.

nope, that's literally what happened

Nah it's the virtue-signalling brooklyn crowd

I was the second they said it was a reboot and not a continuation. Sadly I ended up watching it on a bus ride home from school and it was just boring. Nothing made me laugh and the story wasn't interesting. There was no cool cultist shit going on, it was just some guy (who was a clear jab at white male nerds) who also had ghost technology and was using it to cause havoc around the city. Completely forgetful movie.

Also this movie looked it was in development hell or something because there was clearly supposed to be a big dance number with all the police and national guard being controlled by the nerd (who was a ghost at this point) which gets cut in the film for time reasons (maybe if they cut back on the line-o-rama comedy which tends to not be funny they could have fit it in), but instead showed small clips of them doing the dance in the credits.

As Trump would say "It's a big fat mess"

If Trumps thinks that's the media, he's just as stupid as the people who read that shit.

Blackhat is underrated as fuck.

Was he good in it?

>it's a wider issue with comedy coming out of the US right now

This article sums it up perfectly:
www.theguardian.com/film/2017/jul/20/comedy-movies-the-big-sick-will-ferrell-seth-rogen-the-house

"Over-the-top behaviour has been fuelling comedy for a long time, but it feels like people are growing a little weary of that ... Everywhere you look, someone’s wisecracking ... We’re living in an ‘all comedy, all the time’ culture. It’s taken over commercials, it’s taken over current affairs – we get our news from comedians like John Oliver. Our action films are comedies. Our Marvel movies are comedies. Comedy is the air we breathe, and in that sense when you go to see a movie that’s just a comedy, that does nothing but trying to make you laugh, it feels thin."

What is this? Some silly SNL sketch?

>AND WHY THE HELL THEY JUST RANDOMLY DANCING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVIE?

Never had a gf?

I still can't believe the reaction angry Video Game Nerd got from people over this.

Celebrities were trashing him, journalists and shit. This one journalists for some famous rag even attacked his wife. The woman is a feminist for crying out loud and they jumped on her just because James said it looked like a shitty movie and he wouldn't watch it.

Everyone is, the only remnant is that all the stars are still relevant and Late Night's continued shilling of Magilla Gorilla.

Leslie Jones was the only good one out of the four. She at least came off as a human being and not cartoon character.

>>things that never happened
The original is great and your story is complete bullshit. Blaming nostalgia is the tactic of an edgy teen that only learned the term last week. Fuck you.

I've read an interview recently with Ivan Reitman (i think?) and he said they are planning an animation but also a movie with the target being 2019...the question right now is will it be a sequel to this dreck or are they rebooting it again?

We are not even over Image related, and it happened over 30 years ago.

What would make you think we would be over Chickbusters 2016 any sooner?

I love how whenever things like this happen, people are like "James Rolfe choose a strange hill to die on!" when in reality, he gained MORE subscribers out of the whole thing (same thing as when play-asia started to troll SJWs)

...

nice try you desperate cuckold you ain't getting out the shed tonight

>James Rolfe choose a strange hill to die on
>Hey fans, I know you guys expect me to see this movie and make a big video about it because I love GB, but I'm not interested in it so don't expect anything

>this is dying on a hill
The leap in logic to get to that is baffling

uh oh seems like I've triggered Sup Forums again

The most pure gold came from the most horrendous shit.

>muh pol
stop crying and go fist yourself you bitch made faggot

should i watch it for her?

That was actually more enjoyable to watch than Ghostbusters 2016

I clapped at the end when the blood came out.

>stands next to more food than she's eaten in a week

No user it's not worth it. Spend your money on a burger. You'll thank me leter

pic is hilarious

its basically saying that if women are making a flick then it will turn out to be absolute shit.

>I don't want to watch the movie because it looks awful

REEEEEEEEEEE SEXISM PATRIARCHY

Was it ever a thing

...

I'm bummed becuse they could have actually made a decent, hilarious and clever film. Instead they hired the ape who can't act for shit, and shoved Melissa's jokes down our throats.
Melissa is borderline annoying, but she could have been funny with better directing and writing. Kristen Wiig was OK as the uptight scientist, and Kate McKinnon was literally the only thing that was actually good/enjoyable in this shitfest.

>racism

Opinion discarded and proper authorities have been alerted. First warning

I realize you're trolling, but while we're on the subject, just for an example, Queen Latifah would have been perfect for an actual funny, sassy black woman sidekick.

Is it true Harambe was the best actor of the four?

What did he mean by this?

>"Never compare me to the 'Jaws' mayor, NEVER!!!!!!!"

XD

A reboot could have been cool. Imagine if it were a mix of True Detective and Creepshow. Or, maybe some other interesting interpretation that could take the best of the past and revisit it in an interesting way. Maybe they should have just used it as inspiration and made something new?

This was a missed opportunity. Everyone involved squandered the opportunity because it really didn't mean anything more than what they felt they were owed. There was never any indication that they specifically cared for and wanted to revitalize this franchise. They only wanted to make it something else.

In the end it was a victory for feminism in that it proved women can completely shit the bed as well. It was their turn, their turn to make an unimaginative and derivative sequel.

All of these actresses are now Jamie Kennedy level.

Movie actually wasn't half bad. Wasn't nearly as bad as fat nerds made it out to be, and wasn't nearly as "muh misandry gurlpower" the social media feminists made it out to be either.

I think what really hurt this movie was the fact that the actors felt the need to jump into the social media shitshow surrounding it, fully buying into the drummed up hysteria.

if they were pretty this might have gone better
but sadly, strong womyn also means ugly woman for some reason

it shoulda been seth rogan, james franco, jonah hill and craig robinson
