>Death Grips: The Animated Series

hell the fuck yes

But the Aquabats! Already had a tv show

had ;_;

I suppose Weird Al could just compile all of his cartoon cameo appearances.

Hell yeah. AC/DC!!!!

The dandy warhols would be so fun, i would love to watch even one episode.

Hell yeah, I'd watch this forever.

...

>THROBBING GRISTLE
>THE ANIMATED SERIES

The cute adventures of Muse with Radiohead songs in the soundtrack

>Kino: the band getting a cartoon

Ofc I would

Aquabats had that shit, man.

>Gorillaz cartoon never

>oingo boingo the animated series
>its just a bunch of music videos with trippy/surreal animation

I could live with this...

JUDAS PRIEST

>Steely Dan gets their own cartoon
>Everything is made fun of, but nothing really changes
>As everything progresses, the two main protagonists break apart
>Even less gets done. Starts out neat, but quickly falls apart
>They finally come back together and they absolutely suck

The first season or two would be cool.

I'm aware of my shit taste.

>King Crimson cartoon
oh boy

A Faith No More cartoon? It could work I guess...

>Oasis
of course, every episode would be filled with Liam fighting everyone as well as plenty of pranks and mischief.

> Steel Panther

It would be a slightly gayer Metalocalypse, so yes.

>daft punk cartoon
Too good to exist

>Meshuggah
I'm honestly not sure what they'd do.

>Queen

Fuck yeah I would.

Guaranteed to be better than Paul's solo career, at least.

I've got around three bands at equal standing...
>Coldplay (up to Mylo Xyloto)
The closest we'll ever get to that is Hurts Like Heaven, basically a slideshow preview of the Mylo Xyloto concept comic series.
[ youtube.com/watch?v=C8KV0mzqTXY ] I wonder if that comic series got any Sup Forumsnversation going on here for once...

>The XX
>Probably minimalistic art with lots of dark tinged colours, kinda melancholic at some parts
Nah, I don't think I would be able to drawings based on it, let alone moving footage.

>OK Go
>very loud colours, unconventional character designs
If it can be pulled off well, it'll be pretty good.

I second that. Queen's song can be pretty operatic, those could translate well to the art direction and storytelling.

At least you got the Interstellar 5555 film out of that concept, just as cool.

>AnCo

...I don't really know how this would turn out, but it probably would end up being a children's cartoon with trippy visuals. Their recent album reminds me of 90's Nickelodeon on some songs...
youtu.be/Y7O0rBGSqjI

While the single they released is like a commercial on a kids network.
youtu.be/OliQyGkB6Sw

Whatever it is, I'd probably watch it.

It would be Forbidden Zone, the TV series.

>Swans: The Animated Series

Fuck yeah I'd watch it.

I forgot a word. It's supposed to be:
>Nah, I don't think I would be able to like drawings based on it, let alone moving footage.

>Sol Invictus or Death in June
So, pretty much moodier and much darker Histeria?

Muh nigga. I miss Throbbing Gristle and Coil so much.

>caravan palace animated adventures
>"dancing robots are attacking downtown Paris!"
>"that's easy, we've just got to play a different song, and they'll dance right out of the city."
>"yes, that's the trouble, they dont have ears."
>"then how are they dancing?"
>"awful"

Basically already exists, although not as a series.
youtube.com/watch?v=bEZJcNxqVNw

A Pixies cartoon? I'd watch the shit out of that.

I'm guessing there'd be a flashback episode that addresses Kim Deal's teacher, who was into field hockey players.

A bunch of fast food workers find stardom in an acclaimed ska band and become increasingly jaded with the music industry yet not jaded enough to ever want to stop making money. I'd watch it.

vimeo.com/94549328
just as good

>Steam Powered Giraffe
Hell yes. Haha no I'm just kidding. Can you imagine? Jesus Christ.

Fuck you, I started laughing and my drink went down the wrong way.

No... just like Paul's solo courier.

Does Bennett still look like an estrogen fueled trainwreck? I haven't followed since she began the transition but that's mostly because I enjoyed Michael Reed's contributions most if anything.

No idea, I stopped following them after Reed left too. Looking them up she seems pretty cute but Rabbit was always kind of effeminate-looking anyway. I'm glad that weird hair-hat thing is gone though.
In retrospect, that was a cancerous fucking fanbase.

Daft Punk: the Animated Series.
It's just a vaguely dadaesque sitcom about our two heroes as roommates and their tendency to break into sampling at any moment.

Lawsuit waiting to happen

youtube.com/watch?v=u8DJ5q7x5mo

FUND IT

the dadaism meme has to end. before tumblr started raving on about it (not even joking about le tumblr boogeyman in this case) I only ever heard my arts student aunt talk about it like once.

that being said, daft punk is fucking amazing, though I can definitely see a comically quiet show broke up with sample exchanges. very french

Here's three of my favorites

>radiohead
Would Pretty surreal, but good to watch.

>Agalloch
Sad dudes go camping in the woods. Might work

>misfits.
Probably the best out of the three for a cartoon. Good spooky/goofy times. Would love to watch

>My Name Is Earl Sweatshirt
would be extra lit

You haven't read Doom Patrol?

They actually have a good relationship with capcom, Heck they even used their version of the Elecman theme in something recently!

that's really your own fault for traveling in such narrow circles

I've been hearing people argue about if something is dada or not since the 90's

>Skip the Use
>It's just Mat Bastard and Yan Stefani constantly getting into trouble with the supernatural, animated in Zombillenium style
youtube.com/watch?v=OHXf7wEpBPI

On [as]? Fuck, I'd watch that.

Probably wouldn't make any sense.

>Sabaton the animated series
>It's Time Squad except with more war

Lmao man. Queen's music is mediocre as fuck.

I respect your opinion.

GOAT band

A Blind Guardian cartoon would be sweet

The Bards, trapped in a fantastical land, traveling as entertainers by trade and heroes by circumstance

And tanks.

Don't forget the tanks.

This pls

Can I get an Aaron McGruder-helmed show about the Marvel Universe starring MF DOOM?

Maybe one day Capcom will let them do an animated music video that officially licenses the characters or something. Both History Repeating albums are the shit.
I don't think we have the technology (or at least not the budget) to create a full TV series with the animation required to do a Blind Guardian series justice.

would watch and buy all the action figures

>Wu-Tang
hell yes I would

We give ralph bakshi about 500 million dollars and all the drugs

ITT: Sup Forums browses Sup Forums for about 10 minutes bi-weekly and thinks this improves their tastes but instead regurgitates the same tired shit.

>Butthole Surfers: The Animated Series

Slipknot cartoon please

>That one weird episode where they end up in old timey sweden instead of WW2

>Boredoms: the Animated Series

I swear, John, I'll tell you on your mum.

>Sup Forums
>caring about what a bunch of faggot hipsters think

Kek go back, kiddo.

>Recently
Wasn't that the Mega Man Universe trailer? That was 6 years ago, man. And it was Spark Man not Elec Man
They did use their Fire Man, Quick Man and Top Man songs for a 25th Anniversary album... which was... three years ago. Christ.

D12: the adventures continue

I can't handle another dead homie anons, I just cant

>Motorhead cartoon
I would of so watched it

An actual The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys show would be pretty neat

>Josh Scogin gets an animated show
>he writes and directs it
>Veggie Tales style CGI but only pretty subtly christian
>CGI is really glitch a la Where The Dead Go to Die or something like that
>kids love it because it's fun feelgood type stuff on the surface but the older audience loves it because it's dark and creepy at times
>music is mostly noisy soundscapes and musique concrete
>well received
>doesn't get picked up for a third season
>rumors every two years or so of a reboot, but it never happens

Look at the posts in this thread

Death grips
Animal collective
Earl sweatshirt
Radiohead
King crimson
The mountain goats

I promise before this thread is finished well see Weezer, Kanye, Grimes, all that boring shit

Sup Forums is already here

>calling Death Grips and Animal Collective boring
They may be memes but they're still very good.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is also really fucking good.

Fuch off Sup Forums

What the Hell happened to band names?

A Run The Jewels themed action/comedy cartoon? I would watch everything about this.

Trying to be """"original""""

>Chvrches: The animated series
I would watch it

Feel bad Inc man..

I get the feeling it would be a serialized version of Fantastic Planet.

>Led Zeppelin: The Animated Series
Starring Robby, Jimmy, Johnny, and Johnny P, with wacky talking sidekick Muddy the Magical Mudshark

that mudshark story tho, what the fuck man

Definitely. It sounds like something Adult Swim would actually do, honestly.

>Disturbed
It's like captain planet meet spawn

>Coheed and Cambria
So it's just the comics as an animation? I'm in.

>Blue Oyster Cult
I guess it would be like Men in Black or something. I'd try it.

They're boring as fuck. Everything death grips has literally been done before by artists like B L A C K I E and even fucking Beastie Boys's Ill Communication has the same vibe without being childish "I fucking cum on the pills and beat the music to death I am the devil" 2spooky4u bullshit.

Animal Collective is okay, but it's mostly just by the books pop with overdone noisy textures layered on to seem smarter than it is. They'd be better served as just a simple pop band. They can write some really quality music in that genre without fucking it up.

I'd tune in every week in all of my matching merchandise I bought to support the show and the band

I just don't understand why there has yet to be a single movie or cartoon that's used BOC's 'Godzilla'.

It's like Toho is ashamed or something.

B L A C K I E is complete trash tho.

>Tool
Im... Im not really sure I'd want to see it

Like I can't even fathom what kinda shit it would be about
On the other hand, the guitarist is a stopmotion artist and has done makeup and set design in movies like terminator and jurassic park so they could actually produce something

youtube.com/watch?v=hglVqACd1C8

Fuck off, John.

Maybe so, but he was doing exactly what death grips was doing at least 3 years before they released their EP

But how would it work?

Gerogerigegege: the Animated Series

My girlfriend and I talk about this everytime we listen to Spectres. It's such a good song too, it would fit with any Godzilla film.

Makes sense. Merriweather Post Pavillion is my favorite of theirs, and it's easily their most pop-y album. I do love the soundscape on it, though, totally gets that "Family hanging out in the backyard on a Summer day" vibe down.

Yeah I kinda like MPP because of the pop music, but if I were to listen to one of their records it'd probably be STGSTV bc it's their only record that seems 100% genuine to me, but it's a little cold or maybe sterilized for me.

>Porcupine Tree
I can see it being either an adaptation of In Absentia, or Deadwing finally getting its story published.
