Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

French movie.

>Valerian Root: Shitty and A Thousand Minutes

Just because Luc Besson CAN make movies, doesn't mean he should.

It was long but it wasn't shitty in any sense, just average. Kinda shocked since Besson is so talented, maybe too much studio interference.

He's a hack. Zero studio interference, he financed it himself. The effects people he hires are talented, but everything else about his flicks suck.

He's not a hack he has written some fantastic action and sci-fi, if you're not into cheesy overthetop dialogue then you can just gtfo my tv

He is either autistic or doesn't take human interaction seriosuly. This is apparent in every movie with his name on it, not just Valerian and The Fifth Element.

Besson only makes good movies when he rips off anime

From what I understand, Valerian was originally some shitty western comic

>some shitty western comic
French (Parisian). Don't lump the west in with these dickless cucks.

for a french movie, it's really tame and boring

Consider me Les Miserable.

Why are french directors so weird and terrible?

I liked it

>French movie.
I really loved this movie.Popcorn fun at its best.

movie would have been ten times better if Valerian and Laureline had different actors.

Dehaan has the emotion of a tree trunk and I keep thinking he looks shorter than he probably is (or maybe he's just a manlet I dunno) ad Delevingne is a horrible actress all around

I'd smash her tho

Me too, I'd probably use a claw hammer

>I only know Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Leos Carax and Besson

She isn't even an actress.

>Suicide Squad
>Paper Town
>Valerian
pretty sure that makes her an actress

It was nice to look at, but not much more. Would be a good background flick if you had people over or something.
