I've been waiting.
Any anons from the Jim Dragon Tail Thread?

fuck i was waiting
then i got tired and made the thread myself lol

That thing stemming from the 'draw a character with a head shaped like this' thread?

Yeah. A couple anons have worked on it a it.
The world is nothe inhabited by normal people, but tailed beings. Each race has a tail based on an animal from the Chinese zodiac, Each race has a few abilities and weaknesses.
We Have Jimmy(Center), His Mother, His Snake-Tailed Friend(Right), and his rival. Smoothing out the bumps on this Oc road.

Do you have any idea how long I went before I realized Donut Steel meant do not steal, and wasn't just an oc character used to start these threads

Rival Need a bit of a tweek, going for more of a poke aesthetic, looking a bit too close to Jack spicer.

I always enjoy seeing one of these threads up. I get that delightfully autistic urge to share my OCs with you fine folks.

I've got a few to share. Here's a trio I'm including in a new comic project. The two on the left are a pair of fraternal twins named Joseph and Mary, and the the boy on the right is named Lucifer, and is the protagonist to my edgy comic.

ahoo
NICE NICE
really interesting linework!

>really interesting linework!

Thank you! I've been told it has a nice "raw" quality to it. It's kinda fun being purposeful but a tad sloppy/messy with my lines; works rather well with the comic's mood.

I'm enjoying your style's unapologetic homage to the style of Shin Chan, with the plus side of your character's cosmic love powers.

hows this looking?

Nothing out of the ordinary but solid design. Looks like she would be from a mystery series.

would you believe space action adventure?

Nothing about it really says space, but I suppose it depends how you frame space in your story.

ART BY REM

Kerrigan, a character I thought up back in high school. Has a mystical bracelet of unknown origin that holds and turns into many weapons, including a flaming angel sword. Originally was meant to be ex-muscle for a crime family but I'm weighing my options on what to do with her.

Hmmm yeah I can, assuming that she is like the solo Earth character in a band of space aliens and whatnot.

Oh hey, I love these threads! Here's a little Vivian.

So, do you have any plans for this character?

Personality Wise
Jimmy:Headstrong and stubborn.Edgy towards most things, but is warming up as he goes along, likes a sport?
Jim's Mom:Naive and harmless on the outside, but is quite street smart. probably hiding something. Very doting on her son to make up for time she wasn't there.
Snek Gal:Quite skillful, but very lazy, would rather take the easy way out,a bit vain.
Rival:Arrogant, having a huge sense of righteousness, while he is powerful, his pride usually gets the best of him.

She's a plant vampire. She withers without sunlight, but can rejuvenate herself by feeding on the energy of other living things.

As cute and innocent as she looks, Mina, Jim's Mother, Is very street smart, knowing weapons and magic from all around the land, Mina has only recently come into Jim's life, and she won't tell him why she was gone for so long and Jim slightly resents her for her absence, so she is very doting on her son. He is warming up to her as time goes by.

Bump

Any other info on her? The rejuvenated form looks neat.

Isn't he introduced during Arthur's alien invasion arc?

I think you can learn a lot about a character by drawing their room. It's a good exercise for interiors, too.

God damn it this is such a good concept. I can't wait to see more. And to think this came out of those stupid fucking CalArts meme posts

Spooky. What's your comic about?

Excellent as usual. I love those damn colors.

I like her, but nothing about her really screams SPACE ACTION! Maybe play up some "futuristic" design elements or fuck with some more dynamic posing?

I backtraced this to your blog and am following now. This is too damn cute.

KEK!!!!!
>my flipping sides man!!!

Kek, gg user.

Made a roll thread about 90s TMNT knock-offs on Saturday. I hate to see all that OC go to waste so I saved the results in Pastebin.
pastebin.com/i3dPm2LE
someone said they'd draw them but the thread 404'd before it was posted, also some of the entries weren't finished so I'll assume they couldn't get the funding for the series

Duly noted on the room thing.

Diamond Dogs.

also accidentally entered Jellyfish as Squids

>take 4 year old wacom tablet i haven't used in gorillions of eons out of its box
>connect it to my new PC
>surprisingly Windows 10 has tablet recognition built-in but without additional drivers it's shit
>discover i completely forgot how to draw on a drawing tablet
I feel like that spongebob episode where he forgets how to ride a bike so he starts boiling his tricycle in a pot.

pls do nut steel

Actually he boils his bike in that episode where bubble bass tricks him into thinking that he forgot to put pickles on the krabby patty. Then everything starts to fall apart.

Honestly the best solution would be to try and shake off the rust, or practice more.

>Spooky. What's your comic about?

The comic takes place in this dystopian landscape called the Countryside, where you have these Faustian sects as its remaining inhabitants. The prominent ones are the Countrymen, lycan-esque humans who crusade against other creatures, and the Denizens, demonic-looking humans who're malformed and deranged (though many of them are just victims.) Essentially, a cataclysm decades ago caused the Countryside to become what it is now.

Outside of the world building, the main story is about Lucifer, a 13-year-old boy who feels the Countryside is his loving home, but he's eventually faced by its horrible truths and spirals into a nightmarish experience of bloodshed and trauma.

Y'know, sounds cool in pitching terms, lol. I've made some headway though and already finished the first issue a month ago. I have it posted on my DA here if you're (and anyone else is) interested in taking a look: keepergryphonstone.deviantart.com/gallery/59548532/Comic-Faust-Fall-Book-1-The-Countrymen

I'm a little worried my cryptic storytelling is going to make it a shaky read for the first few issues though. I might have to do some info-dumping moments so to avoid any potential plot holes. Considering I'm only doing 20 pages per issue atm (minus front cover, back cover, and interior pages,) I'm trying to be careful on just HOW much I thrown into the story. I'm also thinking of making it total of 8 or 10 issues.

Don't feel alone, user. I haven't touched my wacom tablet in over two years and only recently got back into it.

I'm happy to say my art style made an okay transition to tablet, but the experience of drawing on tablet feels very disconnected, and I feel like I shouldn't be making as many errors as I did traditionally due to the ease of fixing mistakes on software.

I think the anxiety only lessens as you practice, especially after a few months of using it.

I plan to make a bold move and use it exclusively for drawing in a digital art course this semester in order to get better at it.
