Just be glad that by the time those sequals are done we will have perfect simulations of 7 metres of universe.

To BTFO MCU, Star Wars, Dark Universe, Monsterverse, Transformers, and DCEU. Cameron has this in the bag.

Also to revolutionize cinema technology once again.
Avatar2 will be 3D without glasses.

This. I actually like the film. And consuming a third of whiskey followed by a beer makes it into the best film over, mesmerising at the pretty parts, and exciting enough to cheer and fall over during the big action moments.

That said, you can't realistically go nearly a fucking decade between entries and build a franchise. Sooly is getting towards middle aged now. Cameron is in his sixties, and might not even live long enough to finish filming an Avatar 3 if it takes him another decade, and almost certainly won't for Avatar 4.

You work with what you have, you don't wait for the technology to catch up with your visions, which is what I assume is the case here.

The only reason Avatar 2 was delayed is because Disney begged Cameron. They knew once it came out Capeshit would become irrelevant.

It's delayed to come out after the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

>you can't realistically go nearly a fucking decade between entries and build a franchise

Disney's biggest pulls aren't even capeshit anymore, there's more money in Star Wars and their remakes.

If Marvel movies start losing money (they won't though), they'll ditch them without a problem.

>we will have perfect simulations of 7 metres of universe.
Like a holodeck? 7 meters is enough to fuck in.

He's making all the sequels at the same time, that's why it's taking so long. He'll live to cash in his shekels, otherwise he wouldn't be doing it.

was wondering why cameron hasnt done shit in ages

thats such great cover art

>the humans didn't win at the end of avatar 1

...

>James Cameron is making a series out of his worst movie
yay

It sure as hell won't revolutionise plot

Hollywood in a nutshell.

Because it's the highest grossing film of all time, innovative in it's use of 3d (which is still damn near unrivaled to this day), motion capture and cgi was nominated for 9 Oscars, including best picture and best director, is written, directed and produced by one of Hollywood's best and most successful directors, commercially and artistically, who held the highest grossing film of all time with Titanic, untill it was knocked down by Avatar. And not only does he have a great track record with sequels, but he also managed to make a film that's marketable to a global audience, not just a domestic one, like star wars or marvel.
This happened with Titanic. This happened with avatar. Before it came out, people constantly made fun of Cameron and Titanic because of the budget, the director of terminator and aliens now directing a romance with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. It was going to be "his Titanic" But it didn't. It went on to be tied for the most Oscar nominated film of all time, become the highest grossing film of all time, the first film to gross more than a billion dollars.
Avatar was the same. People thought it looked goofy, that the cgi in the trailer was terrible, etc. Then it came out, became the first film to make 2 billion dollars, became the highest grossing film of all time, so on and so forth.

Basically what im saying is, trust in James Cameron

>the first film to gross more than a billion dollars.
it made $1.8 billion during its initial run

What are you talking about, 3d sucks and avatar was no exception.
