That's only because the legal system in India is completely fucked and a man can be lead into a room by a woman, get ambushed by a group of people and be extorted for money on the threat of a rape allegation. Indian men are really, really fucked over by the laws surrounding rape; you don't even need anything more than some hysteria female claiming to be raped to be convicted and depending on the area, it may involve local mob justice. This is mainly due to a recent constitutional change, meaning the situation is properly shithouse.
