It'd definitely be a symbolic death. This can't be from the superlaser, though. The planet would have died instantly without this kind of sequence.
Ayden Smith
Literally sex. That cameo was top tier
Sebastian Williams
It kind of bothers me.
Jason Wilson
Maybe the laser fucks up and just blows the major city up
Jayden Sanchez
I've got you
Jace Myers
I was hoping they'd at least show Pao for even a second. But nope.

It's possible it wasn't firing at full power, since this was a test. It's also possible what we're seeing isn't due to the Death Star but I'm having trouble thinking of something else that would cause that much destruction. Full planetary bombardment from star destroyers maybe?

It would have to be the first time the Death Star laser is fired, so maybe they didn't try it at full power while being so close to the planet just in case of blowback?
Parker Anderson
>Not naming it "Mujahideen using an American supplied Stinger launcher to shoot down a Soviet helicopter"
Lincoln Miller
First time the death star fired has already been established as Alderaan
Grayson Peterson
While they do look good, I can't help but feel they went a little too overboard with that model look. The shot is too close to allow for suspension of disbelief, making it really look like a lifeless model
Regardless, I can't wait for some real X-Wing and Death Star action. Krennik should be cool, too
I'll forgive Felicity's dialogue because I find her attractive. Also hoping Whitaker as Saw doesn't turn out to be a waste, as I'm loving the African accent they gave him. His monolgue hints that the character doesn't believe in the value or importance of the larger Alliance and is still far more used to doing things his own way, which is an interesting carryover from how he was in the Clone Wars.
Landon Murphy
I think this is him
Luis Davis
Maybe they just destroy that city, just to make sure it works, and Alderaan is the first (and I guess only) time they use it to its full capacity.
Henry Bell
>Full planetary bombardment from star destroyers maybe?
From the looks of it, the planet is collapsing in on itself. No Star Destroyer bombardment would be able to cause that kind of damage. I suppose that leaves it as being a low power test of the superlaser. Even then, it's a frightening result.

Well, if it is him, at least it's something, I guess.
