Last thread not a whole lot happened because it only barely lasted through the weekend:

-Still working on the Stretcherous and Bombastic team up story
-New pics of Golden Girl and Silver Queen
-Olympic discussion
-Various new character discussion

In other related /coc/ news:
-September 5th is the entry deadline for the next issue of Premier Pulp
-The Lovely Ladybug Issue #0 is getting an expansion (pic related), the new pages will be posted to lovelyladybugcomic.tumblr.com/

Also of some importance, does that google doc link in the OP even work for everyone? Because if it doesn't then it's time to stop using it.

If Silver Queen was hit by a Gorilla ray, would she be Silverback Queen?

Sounds like an appropriately absurd climax for a story with Yeti Yokozuna.

Where would he get a gorilla ray?

Mad scientist garage sale?

That'd turn into a weird fight pretty fast.

All the half-assed broken inventions being used as hero and villain alike duke it out over sales.

There's almost no one around anymore.

HM user here, I've got updates to post after lunch.

Is the joke here that she has double G cup-sized breasts?

that is the whole point if the character.

Yes.

HM user here, this is the latest version of the lineup

Pastebin where most of my notes on the characters are: pastebin.com/1Rq0vU1W

changes from v3 to v4:

>Added Doctor Toxic and Mistress Frost
>Gave everyone a secret identity/real name
>New designs for Green Ghoul and Morgan Hex
>Settled on a final design for Nihl
>Roughly changed order from time of creation to placement within fictional timelines
>Decided to make Morgan Hex and Noire a team
>Added a little more detail to Golden Colossus's backstory
>Killer Bee now has autism
>Gave the setting a final name (Harbor City, New Jersey) as well as the defunct super hero team (The Sentinels)

so, can I just implement my own capeteam in this world?

Might be a good idea to keep in mind the stuff that's already here when doing so, but yeah, pretty much.

I find it better just to come up with your own team and then decide if it fits the world or not. I don't really think my team is working with the established setting, so I'm just going with my own.

Where is that Stretcherous user when I actually need someone to talk to about Stretcherous?

It's not just this thread that's dead, it's every thread on Sup Forums I am even remotely interested in that's dead.

What happened to Casey's Vespa, and why didn't she have a Cub instead?

Casey died, user. There wasn't anyone left in the family to ride it when that happened. Sup Forumslette was too young and their aunt had her own means of transportation.

But what about that scene where Colette takes a dusty sheet off it, and it has been in the garage since then?

Then the orchestra swells as it plays a slower and more tender version of Casey's Theme?

Nope, we only ever got to page 37.

Okay, so give me the rundown on what we need for Laura. Last time I check, we were focusing on her brief team up with Bombastic, correct? I'm taking that this will probably be the only time they ever work together since from here, their stories go their separate paths.

ill show you mine if you show me yours

Stretcherous and Bombastic team up story, what there is so far:

>It begins with a fight in the Sup Forums floating island hanger fight club. Stretchy powers vs exploding powers.

>We enter in the middle of their match, Stretch has the edge on Bomb in speed and mobility, but Bomb is a fukken tank able to take anything she throws at him and then blow it up in her face. If Bomb could catch her he could win, and if Stretch could actually move him she could win. So it's anyone's match.

>Stretch tries wrapping around him, but he explodes causing Stretch the stretch out and go all wispy, like a flag in the wind, before getting one of her legs around one of his legs from behind and tipping him up, then using the ceiling as leverage to hoist him into the air and drop him out of the ring.

>As part of the fight prize, Stretch is given information about the location of a lab she inquired about. Bomb overhears this and follows her to see if has any clues about his own condition. It pans away from the floating city back down to the surface of the Earth in some rural area.

>Bombastic, being in his huge suit, cannot sneak around properly. He should seem very menacing, like he's holding a grudge for losing the fight, but that's only the impression created by his suit.

>Stretch finally takes notice of him, she immediately thinks he's here for a rematch. While she's jumping around trying to get a better tactical advantage, Bomb keeps trying to talk to her until she finally listens.

>Stretch comments that he should have his mouth visible so others can pick up on his facial ques (she's oblivious to his conditions).

Would this be Stretcherous second or third story in her "series"?

I imagine she'd begin looking for clues at the hangar fights, catch the attention of the guy who runs them, fight Nosefire, get commissioned for a few more fights with a promised payment of information, which is where we're coming into this at.

I need to know who she's met before Bomb.

They've both probably met Nosefire and can make jokes about her name, that might be a good way for them to break the ice.

But I really don't know much about the way Stretch operates when out doing something.
She strikes me as the type who doesn't know what she's doing half the time and would just as soon bum rush the lab when they get to the building instead of, oh, I dunno, using her stretchy powers to sneak in through the vents while Bomb plays the role of decoy until Stretch has sabotaged the defenses. How does she do that though? Is she skill with computers or does she just break everything until she breaks the right thing? Breaking things runs the risk of damaging the data though, they came to this lab for information and the assumption that they are not a friendly bunch of scientists.

There's a really sad lack of cute Casey pictures.

Cute, and also lewd.

As soon as I walk away from this thread for any length of time I know it's going to drop all the way to the bottom of page 10 and die.

Based on her projected outline, the Sup Forumsve fights are the beginning where she makes her debut. as for the team-up, I'd say it's after her run in with Ma'am Aries, who has a bone to pick with her (whom she assumes is actually BlackStrap at first.) I'd suggest that those fights were part of a tournament with Ma'am as the last match, but I like the idea of them meeting afterwards.

Anyways the team up would be best after Aries, so inbetween her second and 3rd part of her story. Perhaps the info Ma'am Aries gave Stretch actrually has nothing to do with her sister and just wanted to send her on a wild goose chase.

As for the mission itself, Stretch would sneak in and try to do things ''cool'', as she envisioned her sister would do. As for getting the info, perhaps she takes one scientist hostage and threatens to break his bones or squeeze the life out of them if they dont comply. Or said scientist can be already afraid of her since they assume she i actually Blackstrap, which Stretch would probably take advantage and go with it.

But then why is she back at the hangar fights?

I thought it went like this:

Stretcherous sotry outline

-Participate in the Sup Forumsve hanger fight club looking for leads about where her sister is
--fight Nosefire in the ring
--Fight Bombastic (first suit) in the ring
--Gets two leads
-Lead one takes her to an old lab and Bombastic comes along since there might be something there that can help him
--Lab is under the control of CEO Slick now who bought it to research his oil condition
--Bombastic steals the suit made for Slick and leavs his old one behind to start a new life
-Lead two takes her to Ma'am Aries who has a beef with her because of something her sister did (gets used as "support" by her)

I like English Evil Casey.

Hmm you are right there. Having two leads and one being ending with the team up works perfectly in my opinion.

Does this lead to the lab actually help in her quest to find her sister or is it a dead end. I know the Aries one actually gets her somewhere, since her sister and ma'am were probably bitter rivals long ago.

The lead to the lab grabs her data that she'll have to have someone look at later, possibly that Johnny Volt guy in Motion's city. That data should tell her about the program her conception was the result of and also about any of the failed end products.

Taking that Bombastic either doesn't know or care about the mysterious info she stole, but I assume he's happy with his new suit to care. I can also see Stretch feeling really confident after her latest victories that she underestimates Ma'am when they finally meet.

Since you mentioned failed end products, the Bandersnatch from Resident Evil Code Veronica comes to mind.

>Stretch: "But hey, you're still a lot more sociable than that Nosefire girl everyone has to go through just to qualify for the hangar fights."
>Bomb: "She kept insisting her name was Arson-nasal when I had to fight her."
>Stretch: "Pffft, really? Like that's any better?"

>Time passes, the sun is getting, they're at the lab now
>Bomb: "So what's your plan here?"
>Stretch: "I go up to the front door and knock it down, then I start making demands."
...
>Bomb: "No, seriously, what's your plan? Are you going to sneak in through the vents? I saw you're able to flatten yourself during the fights."
>Stretch: "... yes, that is totally my plan. Then I just need to grab one of those scientists all stealthy like and make him give up the info. You can can go up to the front door and smash it down. It'll be great!"
>And Stretch is already gone before Bomb can protest to how poorly put together this all is
>Stretch makes it through the vents easily and grabs someone wearing a white coat who looks like he would know things
>As soon as she's wrapped around and gagged him, he starts freaking out
>When she finally lets him talk "Oh God no, not again. I'll do anything you want, just keep your fingers away from my nose." (the implication here is he's met BlackStrap before and she did stretch her fingers up his nose as a form of torture)
>Stretch is making him work some computer console one-handed, he's still mostly wrapped up until she gets a thumb drive and an alarm goes off
>While Stretch ditches the guy in a closet somewhere, she wonders what set it off since she hasn't heard any explosions yet
>Then there's a kaboom

So who is Bomb fighting? The lab should have some kind of something for them to fight?

So is Bomb fighting a failed project of the lab's?

I don't think it'd be a failed stretchy person, so maybe a monster. What monsters do we have on hand for this?

Pretty good, it's more or less what I envisioned would go down. As for what Bomb is fighting, unless it's cvonnected to the lab, perhaps a super powered character who was hired to oversee things, or maybe sort of lake a bodyguard, kinda like how Captain Cold worked for Lex Luthor in the comics not too long ago. And whoever he is fighting, Stretcherous would probably ditch him at first, but can't bring herself to do it, so she helps out, despite risking the thumb drive.

What I mean was failed end products of whatever created the Longorias/gave them powers.

already did, m8

Maybe I'll just use this guy.

He's big, he's a monster, we haven't used him for anything before. Good a time as any to make him be useful.

oh. Well, wanna know about the Justicebringers, the Armored Brigade, The Valiant or the Ministry of Heroes?

Just dump everything, that's what these threads are for.

>What I mean was failed end products of whatever created the Longorias/gave them powers.

The running plan was that two people with latent stretch powers were located and approached with a monetary offer to provide genetic material, then they ran experiments on the resulting embryos to attempt to produce viable offspring that expressed the would-be-dormant powers. Blackstrap was the closest thing they had to a success before Stretch and she's neon orange. There may be all sorts of not-quite-human "products" that were created as part of the same project or similar ones.

I imagine Stretch wanting to elongate into that hole in the chest, just to see if she can...which probably leads to her being grabbed easily.

>neon orange
You mean Haley has orange skin under her suit? I always assumed that was just part of her attire. At worst, she just has those powerful orange eyes while Laura always had white hair.

I think Haley being physically deformed in one way or another helps to setup why her instincts went to a life of crime and seedy deals to support her and her sister after their escape. She probably feels like she wouldn't be able to have much of a stand up life with such a frightening appearance. It also explains her costume choice.

Gives her a good opportunity to hoist the monster by if it Bomb grabs her at both ends.

Don't know the physiology of that beast, but if its slimey and Stretch cant get a good hold, then that would be a better option.

He might be slimy, he's a monster we never really talked about much.

is golden girl supposed to have superhuman strength or is it just training ?

Training. She has no inherent powers, but she does inherit Silver Queen's strength-enhancing bracelets when she grows up and becomes Golden Guardian. And since the strength enhancement is exponential, she's a lot stronger than SQ is because of all that training.

She's Robin-tier strength as Golden Girl.

...

Is this the lady from the porno comic that Incase did, with the red dress and the three guys?

So many different kinds of no. That's Silver Queen, Golden Girl's mentor.

No.

Maybe she's covered in stretch marks.

I still prefer her to keep the domino mask when older.

I agree, but I think her adult mask should be different from her sidekick mask.

Is that a pun?

Only if you want it to be.

I'll have to work on this story some more tomorrow, I can't focus at this hour.

The lab probably has more than one suit stored away somewhere, or they make more after Slick sees what he has when the oil mixes with the exploding jelly.

Time to see if the thread will still be up when I wake up.

Or if it's going to be a short weekend.

Bumping for interest.

Don´t know if you guys would be interested, but I´ve been working the entire morning on an female oceanic hero. A short girl with white/yellow hair, tanned skin in what appears to be blue, green scale armor. Only armed with a trident giving her limited control over water.

Writing that, I think I created way to much of an expy again. Still trying to draw though.

Man, that's really mean.

Sounds a little too close to Belle. Unless the point of the character is that she's similar, it's probably not worth fighting the comparison.

Oh. Was reading the wiki a few minutes ago and noticed that too. Might just drop her then.

Going back to the drawing board now.

Do you guys have something like frog themed supervillains already or should I drop that idea too?

None that I know of.

Well there was a frog-themed superhero, I don't think there is a frog villain tho.

im glad we moved forward since that thread so long ago that we made GG in.

>frog villain

You mean Ma'am Ares? HON HON HON HON HON HON

Only it's not her throat that swells out.

Okay. Then here is another draft. Problem is, I can´t get that picture into the right position.

...

Did someone bite him in the ring?

Looks more like they bit him in the chest.

He's wearing what looks like a championship belt, so I assume he fights in a ring.

That was a joke.

Anyway, that pic's an adult version of Kitten, sidekick to a real Golden Age heroine named the Black Cat. They're in the public domain and Sup Forums sort of adopted them for /ss/ purposes. I forget exactly what the concept behind the pic is, but championship fighting does look pretty likely.

Now that I think of it, maybe Black Cat could cameo in that GG strip with the superheroine meeting. It'd be one less character to design, at least.

Funny you bring that up since I also had the same idea a few threads ago when we were trying to come up with names for the group and who would be attending.

How does Colette feel about those lewd Casey pictures that Tats has for reasons that cannot be explained by modern science?

Tats at one point found her self tied up and upside down in the sort of pose she often took pictures of.

From the shadows she could see light shining off of a pair of glasses and the green glow radiating from a familiar pair of mechanical devices.

A figure emerges, one Tats knows the shape of all too well. Sup Forumslette approaches her, she pulls out a picture from pants and holds it upside down to Tats' face so she can see it right. It's a picture of a girl with white hair covering one side of her face and the same skin tone as Sup Forumslette's.

Sup Forumslette only says a single word in a tone cold enough to end global warming: "Where?"

eh but it's my oc world. whatevs. ill post a list of chars, and you guys can ama.

Yggdrasil – Isadriel, a half-elf with absolute control over plantlife.

Thomas Blood – Thief from time, he is a metahuman with the power to create portals taken by a crew of Time Pirates

Pixel – Girl with videogame powers (examples: Respawn, double jump, IRL HUD, aswell as a leveling up system with stats that resets every year. She can also pause IRL.)

Ariamancer – Girl who is an absolute manipulator of sound, meaning she can fly using it, create forcefields, and such.

Artemis – Girl with a cybernetic eye enhancement, aswell as a bow with a built-in AI that helps her take the best courses of actions.

Charm – Zatanna analogue, fancast: Alexandra Daddario. Her little brother inherited her father’s role as a hunter of mystical artifacts in a Nathan Drake/Librarian/Indiana Jones-like fashion

Wisdom – A man who has both the muscle as normal memories of his ancestors.

Wraith – Nightwing/Danny Phantom analogue who leads The Valiant

Builder – Same powerset as Bunker through a hardlight projector helmet, wears silver armor that looks like the Guardian-armor.

Quantum – genius teenager with a powersuit that gives him size manipulaton, psionic manipulation aswell as density manipulation, together with a superA.I to guide him and basic blast-cannons aswell as flight. (outdated)

Northwind – Iceus Blake, powerful Demigod ascended from Boreas, has multiple weapons aswell as aerokinesis and cyrokinesis.

Nyfe – Ninja stoner girl, fancast: Emily Ratjowski she’s on The Valiant. Has a nano-katana aswell as homing ninja stars.

Daniel Krock – Little brother of Nyfe, can copy powers, played by Natt WolF

That's how I'd begin the "daughter from the future" story.

BUT THAT WOULD JUST LEAD TO FURTHER QUESTIONS

would this be like a titans style group like when they were first formed?

Nah, it's referring to a superheroine group Silver Queen is a member of.

Exactly.

Then Sup Forumslette begins trying to find her sister only to find someone else who looks just like and try to figure out who that is.

She could try expanding once she's in the hole.

>Tats sat in the passenger seat of Colette's car
>Colette driving
>Tats is bored
>Starts mumbling things to herself in Russian
>"Huh?"
>"What?"
>"What did you say."
>"Just mumbling to myself."
>"Okay."
>IN THEATRES THIS SUMMER:
>THE AWKWARDEST ROAD TRIP

I don't think Tats would be along for most of that ride.

Nah, should go with as the lead-in, and then have Colette turn in to Clarkson during the Vietnam special.
>"I AM THE MOST MISERABLE HUMAN BEING ALIVE."

"How did Casey ride this thing? My butt'll get a callous before this is through."

Is there a bum hero within the Sup Forums universe? Something like Hancock except without the weird tonal shift halfway through

There's a whole league of superpowered bums. Nobody's really done anything with them, though.

Maybe they should be our Doom Patrol if they aren't already.

They lack the almighty lazy asshole aspects I suspect the other user is looking for though.

The idea of a bunch of bums with superpowers could work in a Doom Patrol structure. The absurdity of Silver Age Sci-Fi mixed with the down to earth struggles of being a broke ass squatter

The adventures they go on are unbelievable, even to other seasoned supers.

...

Who are the members of the Bum team? Are they homeless people who gain superpowers or are they superheroes who give up the hero career?

The Hobo Intelligence Network consists of:

Super Hobo - A master of parkour. He has no super powers what-so-ever save for him said to be horrifyingly unattractive under his hood.

D'Lahlah - A dark elf who rides the rails. Hails from The Wandering Country so she's nomadic by nature

Double Vision - A man who has duplicator powers, but can only use them while drunk.

Those are the only three really solid members.

...

Notably, though not what could really be considered "affluent", Double Vision is at least well off enough to have a home and work. He's one of the only members who is "on the grid", so to speak, and acts as one of their go-betweens with more "normal" groups.
