How foolish I feel. 3507x3507 is an unusual choice in resolution though.

>Che Guevara was often at the Capri Hotel. Che would talk about Ireland and all the guerilla warfare that had taken place there. He knew every battle in Ireland and all of its history. And I finally asked, "Che, you know so much about Ireland and talk constantly about it. How do you know so much?" He said, "Well, my grandmother's name was Lynch and I learned everything I know about Ireland at her knee." He was Che Guevara Lynch! That famous cap he wore was an Irish rebel's cap. I spent a great deal of time with Che Guevara while I was in Havana. Today he is a symbol for freedom fighters wherever they are in the world and I think he is a good one.

He spent Paddy's Day in Limerick once. Once again confirming Limerick as the communist capital of Ireland.

We need this Connemara gulag quickly.

There's a tool you can use on Linux to watch BBC through a media player of your choosing like VLC or MPV.

You watch rugby too, Poi.

You could buy tickets and see it live.

>You watch rugby too, Poi
Only the non-Protestant variant (i.e. Munster rugby).
Anytime a non-Munster player has the ball in an international match I close my eyes and proceed to reopen them once the commentator announces the ball is back in their possession.

Back in a bit.

Jesus, does nobody in the stadium know Amhrán na bhfiann? Fucking disgrace.

This is a productive thread

Just for the Irish team or do foreign players also count as protestant even if they are from catholic countries?

Such admirable dedication to one's province. The future of Munster is safe within your hands.

Some 20 boar were crossing the road in front of me today, was pretty scared desu

>TV3 stream is dipping in quality
Why am I destined to suffer throughout this 6 Nations?

Hello brother

Because Ireland is the only independent Celtic nation and thus is like Texas but without the power grid or the oil.

It is a sign that the time has come to throw off centuries of Roman shackles and lead your country back to its Celtic roots.
The boar was their symbol was it not? And the number 20 reflects the 20 centuries since Caesar invaded your lands.

>but without the power gri
But we do have our own power grid.

Maybe, but I'm pretty sure Texas has a better one. The point is Ireland isn't Texas.

Jesus, this game is sloppy.

>Celtic roots
What would that be?Riding horses, smuggling and engaging in skirmishes against Germans and other Celts alike?
But you are right,it must be a sign...

Has /éire/ ever had any encounters with wildlife?
Doesn't matter if it was dangerous or not

Sexton is a machine.

>Specifically a naked women riding on a boar but that's just a detail
Kinky.

It's 28-0 though so surely it can't be that bad?

It's fine, but there was some very sloppy ball control by Ireland halfway through the first half. We could very easily have had another try in the bag.

O'Gara doesn't look hungover today, but he sure looks tired.

>Specifically a naked women riding on a boar but that's just a detail
A VERY IMPORTANT detail. Naked women immeasurably improve national symbols, the harp is far better when it's part naked woman.

>Does the fact that my first reaction was to shift to sport+ mode ,to run them over if they came towards me, make me a horrible person?
Well it makes you a horrible car owner at least. I imagine boars are bigger, stronger pigs so I can't imagine running over one of them, let alone 20, would be good for your car.

>Has /éire/ ever had any encounters with wildlife?
Well, yes. I live by it.

"Hotting up" is not a real phrase, TV3.

>Naked women immeasurably improve national symbols
You'd have the usual suspects screeching if you put a naked woman on any sort of symbol today.

>You'd have the usual suspects screeching if you put a naked woman on any sort of symbol today.
That's when you counter by accusing them of being intolerant of the female form.

>towards me, make me a horrible person?
>Well it makes you a horrible car owner at least. I imagine boars are bigger, stronger pigs so I can't imagine running over one of them, let alone 20, would be good for your car.
I don't particularly care for my car when I find that my life could be at risk, you are right though, this surely would have been the end of my saga if I had done it
>I live by it

From what dear AA has told me,Ireland us a bit more sparsely forested than other countries so I'm not sure about Mayo and Luxembourg being 80% forest,it's hard for me to imagine otherwise

>McDonald elected president of SF
Does anyone have that video where she just kept harassing and interrupting Varadkar in the Dáil?

Jesus, that was some run by Earls. Denied Italy a bonus point.

Found it youtube.com/watch?v=mJAQlIXSaKY

Was away for most of the match I heard a good chunk of it on the radio.

>that video Varadkar was being a cunt in the Dáil
FTFY.

t. McDonald

McDonald was acting the cunt though. I really don't see the harm in Leo's cheeky wave considering she was obstructing Dáil procedure.

>McDonald
Rude, I'm no capitalist piggu.

>don't see the harm in Leo's cheeky wave
That isn't the major issue in the whole series of events, though it certainly is a bit childish of our chief.
The main problem was Leo lampooning on about SF and blaming them for things like the NI institutions not functioning.

Neither of them were right. McDonald shouldn't have been interrupting the Dáil and Varadkar should've acted maturely as the leader of our nation. SF are often rude to him but that doesn't excuse his smug attitude.

>Varadkar should've acted maturely as the leader of our nation
Ah come on, it was harmless. He's human like the rest of us - I would probably have done something similar. Of all the things you could criticise Leo for, this ranks really low.

>Neither of them were right
>McDonald shouldn't have been interrupting the Dáil
>Varadkar should've acted maturely as the leader of our nation
All correct. My problem is the persistence of this traditional southern establishment party mentality and attitude towards SF and the North in general.
Leo will go into the Dáil every week and complain about SF and blame them for every problem north of the border and once he's done that he'll go away and wear a poppy and stand alongside Arlene, remembering British soldiers who died in a war.

Jesus Christ, Ronan - lighten up a bit. You'd swear the producers were going to take him out behind the studio and shoot him after this broadcast.

It's not just the wave, he was frequently cracking cheap jokes at SF and seldom took their complaints seriously. It's a piss poor attitude for the taoiseach to have.

>Leo will go into the Dáil every week and complain about SF and blame them for every problem north of the border
In fairness SF often complain about FG and blame them for every problem south of the border.

>It's not just the wave, he was frequently cracking cheap jokes at SF and seldom took their complaints seriously.
Let's separate the wave from the jokes then. I don't see how they are related at all.

>In fairness SF often complain about FG and blame them for every problem south of the border.
So everything is in equilibrium. Problem solved.

>Let's separate the wave from the jokes then
You're taking an awful liking to Leo lately.

>I don't see how they are related at all
It's symptomatic of his smug and childish attitude.

>So everything is in equilibrium. Problem solved.
Two wrongs don't make a right. Neither of them should be acting in such ways.

>SF often complain about FG and blame them for every problem south of the border
That's called being in opposition and in fairness look at the state of social services in this country. Housing, health, education, infrastructure you name it and it's in a state of disrepair. Surely some of the blame for that rests with FG.
Every party in opposition will endlessly moan about the state of the country, and then we'll have FG or FF trot out some line like "well at least we made the effort took the initiative to form a government while you sat on your hands", which is a load of shite of course seeing as neither of them would entertain the idea of going into government with them in the first instance.
On the topic being discussed in the video, McGuinness was right to bring down the Assembly. If politics in the North is to move towards any sense of normality, political incompetence should be punished. SF naturally want the institutions up and running again so that NI will have a seat at the Brexit table but negotiating with the DUP naturally isn't going to be easy.
Tommie Gorman, who some of you here seem to respect, has an article today discussing Gerry and how it is poignant that he has spent his last few weeks as Uachtarán SF working tirelessly to get powersharing back on the road. Leo's view of SF and their work, or lack thereof, in the North is wrong.

>You're taking an awful liking to Leo lately.
Nah, you're willfully inferring that. Other than praising him for his work on Brexit, this is the only other issue on which I've been defensive of Leo here on /éire/. I actually prefer Coveney as a diplomat/politician, but overall I think Leo was the better choice for Taoiseach (for now).

>It's symptomatic of his smug and childish attitude.

SF is a joke party. No one in the south takes it seriously and people who vote for it are idiots. Majority of party members are Marxist, socialist, antifa types who are not in any way nationalist. The phrase "Brits out Blacks in" to describe them is dead on accurate.SF has blood on their hands as they have murdered many innocent people during the troubles. They refuse to tell the families where the bodies of their loved ones are. Mary Lou McDonald is no better than the idiotic Gerry Adams before her. Both bitch and moan about FG and FF yet have nothing to show in comparison to FF or FG. They claim that they want a 32 county republic but could never be farther from it with the amount of blood on their hands. SF will go down in Irish politics as a fringe joke. Both north and south. It's a shame that they spit on Arthur Griffith, the very man who founded the party as he signed the treaty.

That's one hell of a pasta.

Thanks. It's one of my original works.

>SF is a joke party
Far too many members and elected representatives to be considered a joke.
>No one in the south takes it seriously
Plenty of people despise them but saying no one takes them seriously is not true. Hundreds of thousands do and they are a party that is growing amongst younger demographics.
And if anything FF and FG view them as a potentially serious threat that should be stamped out.
>Majority of party members are Marxist, socialist, antifa types who are not in any way nationalist
That is no doubt a growing demographic within the party but saying it is in the majority is likely untrue. Some may also argue it is leaving behind its socialist revolutionary ethics, which was a strong part of it a few decades back, and moving more towards the centre in order to appeal to the common somewhat-liberal and somewhat-nationalistic voter in the South.
>idiotic Gerry Adams
Why is he idiotic? One doesn't lead a party for almost four decades and become a hero amongst some of the most downtrodden and forgotten about people on our island for being an idiot. Himself and the rest of SF without question delivered an improvement in living and social standards for nationalists in the North.
>have nothing to show in comparison to FF or FG
You'll need to expand upon this point and be more specific. What do FF and FG have to show for them? Years of "competent" governance in the South?
>could never be farther from it with the amount of blood on their hands
Yet a UI is closer than it has ever been in the last century, I'd say?
>SF will go down in Irish politics as a fringe joke
Unlikely, especially if a UI ever happens. They will be seen as instrumental in its delivery and in laying the groundwork that allowed the island to move towards. People may label them as being an evil and a negative force, but they still contributed massively towards the process moving forwards, positively or not.

When is /éiregaming/ going to come back?
You put a bit too much effort into that response my dearest Poi

>Yet a UI is closer than it has ever been in the last century, I'd say?
Attributing that to SF is a blatant case of whitewashing history. And it's not like SF south of the border had any role to play in that.

>Attributing that to SF is a blatant case of whitewashing history
Are you implying Afro-Irish are responsible for a united Ireland?

>"you shouldn't put effort into anything"
This is not the kind of life guidance I want desu!
>/éiregaming/
Need to decide on what to play. I could maybe play later tonight.

>Attributing that to SF is a blatant case of whitewashing history
I attribute the GFA and the peaceful path to a UI somewhat to SF.

>put effort
Oh you get me completely wrong again,I love it when people put effort into something
Also I give great advice 100% of the time

>I give great advice 100% of the time
That's quite the claim.

Had a chicken wrap from McDonald's earlier. Chicken and sauce were fine but the lettuce was dry and flaky, and the bread wrap was absolutely horrible. It tasted like cardboard and it's sitting like a lead weight in my stomach.

Not many good screenshots this week, I blame the lack of Strelizia.

>Kancolle cosplayers on German TV
Was the Prince of Savoy present?

The only thing worth eating in McDonalds is the McChicken. Everything else is shite.

I remember really liking the McFlurry years and years ago. Do they still do those? Are they still good?

Never had that. I'm generally not a fan of McDonald's chicken. It's passable but over-breaded and over-spiced, and putting such dry artificial chicken in a burger bread bun does not appeal to me.

I've had some awful kebabs before but the absolute failure of the McDonald's wrap is really something else.

>McChicken
I'm glad there's at least one matter of taste we can agree on.

McFlurry's are still around. They come out with some new topping(?) for them every so often, which makes it annoying when you just want the regular chocolate.

>and over-spiced
McDonalds chicken is not overspiced. It's barely spiced at all.

The 1 time each year I visit McDonalds I usually get a region specific item or a limited offer

I mean you are Irish, why not go to Supermac's instead,at least you support the local industry then
Does /éire/ eat a lot of fastfood?

I'm afraid that none of the signature girls were there, but that might be because if you show an anime representation of a nazi ship on German TV,you can already pack your bags for prison
Rhe only ones I recognised with my limited knowledge were Shimakaze and the Kongou squad

>I mean you are Irish, why not go to Supermac's instead,at least you support the local industry then
I do. I very rarely go to McDonald's. I much prefer Supermacs.

Depends on the type you get.
Like I said, I've never had a chicken burger, I've had nuggets, selects, and now today the wrap, and the last two are basically of the same type. Spiced. Nuggets are bland as fuck though, maybe that's what you think of as McDonald's chicken, but I don't go for that.

If I would want to waste my money in some fast food chain,I can't even do that anymore because Quick has been bought by Burger King and all their restaurants are getting rebranded now, meaning that the American devil has finally got restaurants in the country
It's just a matter if time until KFC gets a license

>I mean you are Irish, why not go to Supermac's instead,at least you support the local industry then
Supermacs isn't everywhere and they tend to be more of a sit-down location than McD's. They are better, their chicken definitely so. It's more real, if a bit greasy.
>Does /éire/ eat a lot of fastfood?
I'm cutting back big time but I was out with friends today and needed a quick snack.
