Now that it's easily available in the US, what did Sup Forums think of Raw? It felt like a b-movie plot embellished with arthouse sensibilities and I could see it becoming a cult film down the line.
Seems like some of the buzz around it was a little overhyped and people are disappointed that it wasn't the vomit-inducing gruesome horror film it was marketed as.
The trailers over hyped me. Was expecting this epic coming of age cannibalistic horror and got medicority. No real shocking moments. I'll give it another go though. I only saw it once in theaters

marketing fucked that up. the director herself has said its gotten away from her so much it doesnt even seem like her movie anymore. she said she didnt set out to direct a horror but it was marketed as such.
i loved it, i dont know why but it just fucking did it for me. i found a few of the scenes really beautiful and really felt for the main characters struggle. not to mention it had some of the best violence ive seen in film.
