It's a shame he even left, the momentum he had from the show was perfect to capitalize on but DC never did. I find it baffling how they didn't push him more to be their Spider-Man and just doubled down on Batman and fucking Blue Beetle of all characters. It just doesn't make any sense why they didn't keep him relevant when he had everything going for him.

Why was this show even made in the first place? I loved the show and all, but what inspired it to come into existence? Static wasn't really popular before it, as far as I know. Was it just because he was a black hero and also could be DC's Spider-Man?

Id say it was pretty good show Virgil grew to be a pretty good hero. The soundtrack is nice if you like nigger beats. Id say it was one of those few shows that tackled "Very special episode" shit nicely like the homeless ice girl or the episode where richie got shot
