Let's talk Batfleck and his upcoming film.

What do you expect from it?
What do you want from it?

I still think they should have done a movie to establish his character before BvS, still I'm hoping they give Mr. Freeze another shot with Michael Fassbender or someone (hopefully with the Arkham City armor).

I don't want no more Joker. I feel like we have done enough with Joker. I would love to see Black Mask and Death Stroke.

Matt Dillon as Black Mask

Steven Lang as Slade Wilson

I guess the plot could be that Black Mask is killing people left and right. Like Cartel killing, hanging dead bodies with no limbs and just wild shit. Corruption within GCPD. Would be nice to see new members instead of the same old shit.

Honestly, after SS, I just want everything to be cancelled, WB wait a few years, and try again.

If Batfleck is the sole casuality in this, I'm 100% okay with it. The idea that he was only killing for a handful of months, but didn't even bother with Joker and Harley is extremely nonsensical and the fact that he's already pretty old doesn't really work for a fresh universe.

Suicide Squad was good though. Sorry MCUck

Recast joker

The Black Glove or Riddler.

>Brainiac reaction image
>MCUck

Do this + Under the Red Hood.

Black Mask is the criminal Jason is targeting, Slade is hired as protection, there you go. Tons of big names easily right there for you.

No. Leto was the perfect Joker for a continuing street-level Batman franchise.

Leto honestly made me excited for Batfleck's movie; before I could not have cared less.

If the Arkham Asylum setting rumors are true I'd probably see that movie, as long as it had the right tone. It'd have be pushed as more of a survival horror movie instead of the usual superhero genre.

The Plot:
>Hugo Strange is running the Asylum (fuck you, I don't know just why yet) and lures Batfleck in because someone got "loose".
>Batfleck arrives to find none of the loons have escaped.
>Strange releases the loons.
>Batfleck's face when he should have seent it coming.
>Chaos'n'shit.
>Throughout the course of the film Batfleck finds Mr. Freeze chilling amongst a forest of frozen loons.
>Later on this user's Langstroke who was hired on as Strange's bodyguard reveals he's been hired to kill the Batfleck.
>Langstroke shows he's warmed up by killing a lot of the prisoners, displaying them for Batfleck to see.
>Supercool, super-expensive CGI fight.
>Film ends with Strange escaping and getting a call from his boss, Stan Lee, "You did well Hugo, even the Caped Crusader couldn't save this shit franchise. Excelsior!"

Lots of action scenes with Batman. Seriously, thats it. Also, I dont give a shit if he kills people or not.

I know the movie just came out and i don't like using this meme word but what's with all the shilling with SS and BvS RIGHT NOW. There's an over abundance pooping up with the same sentence structures

I want it to be a simple Batman vs a villain of his.

I want Batman's only real allies to be Commissioner Gordon and Alfred.

I want pretty much every other cop in the movie to be corrupt in some form or another.

Not to fussed on villain. Would really enjoy Court of Owls though.

>What do you expect from it?
Critical disappointment, mixed audience reaction, even more company wars bait bullshit, actors/directors/producers/executives obfuscating failure and saying it was made for fans, BASED AFFLECK threads spun off of bullshit information from clickbait news sites for the entire duration of production until the movie is released and everyone's excitement wanes as the next slew of generic universe expanding titles are announced and BASED SO-AND-SO can begin anew

>What do you want from it?
A good villain.

And no more "this is kind of what happened in a comic, so let's do that but worse" plot lines. Take the characters, understand their motivations, and develop a fresh plot that is engaging and adds to the mythos rather than borrows from it.

Arkham Aslyum: The Movie

>Black Mask
Why? That's one of few Batman villains who's somehow even more boring than Joker.

>Critical disappointment
>Affleck directed movie
>part of his deal is that WB can't interfere

top laff

I want Dent so his "20 years how many good guys left in Hotham? How many stayed that way?" Makes sense. I also want Jason Todd dying since it has been referenced twice and is a good reason for Batfleck killing people.

Matt Damon for Two-Face. Make it happen Hollywood.

I like the rumor of it being set in Arkham Asylum with a bunch of villain cameos.

Something interesting I found in an interview:

>AFFLECK: Why I’m an executive producer is that I’m directing one of the movies. So there’s sort of this cross pollination of story and characters and I don’t want to give any of that stuff away, but it basically means that there are some things that might happen in my Batman that are affected by I mean, here we are in the police station in Gotham city. There’s a potential that something like this might exist in that story. So it’s a creative way that DC came up with of kind of being a filmmaker-driven company and entity and also making sure that the right hand knows what the left hand is doing and so that there’s collaboration and supervision. So that somebody doesn’t go sailing off, causing problems for your movie with their movie. You know, in a way, it’s also a kind of a courtesy. You know what they’re doing, one hand knows what the other is doing, and I get to weigh in on stuff that impacts the Batman stuff.

George Miller is also a producer on Justice League. I wonder if that means he really is going to direct one of these movies.

I expect a Best Picture nominee after this comment.

>AFFLECK: It’s definitely, the world’s greatest detective aspect of Batman is more present in this story than it was in the last one, and will probably be expanded upon further in a Batman movie that I would do. I think all the great Batman stories are, at their heart, detective stories. That’s why they feel like noir movies in a way. Somehow feels like it could be The Maltese Falcon. But at their heart good Batman stories are, like I said, detective stories. And with detective stories, there’s a “what’s happening” element, but there’s also a, “how do I find these people and bring them together? How are we going to work together successfully?” Sort of a multilateralist –

Straight up detective Batman movie. A genre Affleck excels at.

No, it wasn't, but stay delusional.

Warner will never get better if it has retard fans like you lapping their shit up.

with a batman like this a villain team up would probably be necessary, something like an origins plot where the joker/ black mask or Hugu hires villains to get rid of the bat

Pretty much this.

I also want Nightwing and Batgirl/Oracle being properly introduced at some point, if not during the actual plot but as a tease at the end. I don't want them being handled/introduced in a shitty ensemble or unrelated Warner film. Give 'em to Affleck.

I would like to see a film that encompasses all the attributes of Batman, and makes him the focus. Most Batman movies make him feel like a supporting character, putting the focus on the villains. As well, they never really nail all the details that make Batman Batman, and I feel like Batfleck has come the closest.

^ they need more scenes like this one. Where Batman is depicted as something more from a horror movie
youtube.com/watch?v=--oi-vdBFoQ

> not the red hood, its been done to death
> something focused on batman and jokers relationship, maybe some kind of hybrid of death in the family and killing joke
> would love to see jared letos joker do that thing in new 52 where he cut his own face off and stapled it on
> plz no more murderer batman, its been how many years and still no 100% accurate version of batman

Harley was in custody when he started killing but who knows about Joker

Agreed.

Oh, also I want Catwoman as a small supporting character. I want her relationship with Batman already established with them being sometime allies/lovers but also sometimes opposed.

>No more murderer batman

>Suicide Squad Batman "I don't want to do this infront of your daughter" and saving Harley Quinn's life

>I would love to see Black Mask and Death Stroke.
Deathstroke isn't a fucking Batman villain.

A catwoman would be great, so long as they don't go the long haired route they did in DKR, I would like to see a Barbara Gordon though, especially with what they can do with her.

He's not, but (not him) I'd really love to see him in the DCEU, and given the line up of DC movies coming up, I think he'll best fit in the Batman movie

It would be really nice to see him have a cameo or an arc of some type in the DCEU, even just as a villains mercenary

Not the user you're responding to but Death Stroke is pretty fucking cool though.

Also, he's kind of a generic anti-hero these days as opposed to a Teen Titans/Titans villain that he started out as.

And having Deathstroke fight Batfleck on the big screen could be pretty fucking great!

I don't care how long or short her hair is. But when she's in costume her hair should be covered.

I completely agree about Dark Knight Rises having the completely wrong look for Catwoman.

Also, I want the actress who plays her to be a similar age to Ben Affleck. It doesn't work if it's a twenty-something Selina with a 40-something Bruce.

Even if its good it still means the only good DC anything is Batman...

Well you've still got WW to try and prove you wrong

I hope they get whoever choreographed the fight against the kidnappers in bvs on this film.
I also hope they have some trophys in the batcave

Its important to go back to the main villans because your presenting them to a new generation of children

I would be fine if it is a younger catwoman with an older batman to be honest, and they should certainly look at the arkham games for inspiration with her character design.

Deathstroke as a generic anti-hero is why Deathstroke has been shit for over a decade.

Deathstroke the infamous supercriminal who can go toe to toe with the JLA? Or Superman? Deathstroke the Green Arrow villain? Eew.

Deathstroke doesn't take on generic hired gun jobs because it's too much exposure and Deathstroke isn't stupid. If you want to see the character there, at least support a script that does him justice.

And he really should show up in a Titans movie first.

Titans movie without Cyborg would be stupid.

>I want her relationship with Batman already established with them being sometime allies/lovers
Bruce had enough of furries.

>anti-hero
Heh i think you may have missed his rebirth user

Do we have any knowledge of why Wayne manor is is ruins by this point in the DCEU timeline?

Clearly, there was no need for Operation Knightfall like in the Arkham games, as Bruce is still himself and has build that weird little glass condo on swampland a mile or so away.

Did someone just drop a cigar?

A JLA movie with Cyborg is even stupider.

I thought this was an older version of bat bale because his house was burnt down in batman begins, but otherwise it has yet to be explained

I don't mean them dating when the film begins. I mean the fact that they've fucked in the past as well as having been allies and enemies in the past too, and Bruce and Selina both being attracted to each other.

Also, I want Selina to be a thief. Not a mob boss or the Madam of an escort service, or secretly under the thumb of the League of Assassins, or special 9 lives cat powers. Just a thief.

It's been five years.

You sound like an asshole complaining about Crisis on Infinite Earths in the 90s.

Cyborg is a member of the Justice League now.

Martian Manhunter isn't.

Neither is Fire and Ice, Blue Beetle, or Booster Gold, but you don't see anyone complaining about that now do you?

havebt seen suicide squad yet
thats pretty cool tho, theyre learning
when they fire zac snyder out of a cannon into the sun, they will have learned

I feel the same way you do. Why can't they just create a live action adaption of the animated series?

I expect nothing and still I'm disappointed.

It's actually been longer, since he wasn't part of the league prior to the reboot. I'm not sure he was a full member even prior to getting torched back in Final Crisis.

>What do you expect from it?
it's Johns and Affleck, so not a great deal from the guys who brought you Batman v Superman, Green Lantern, and Daredevil

>What do you want from it?

to stop? to magically not be three fucking hours of pretty pictures, shakeycam and scowling in the rain?

pretty much done with Batman movies at this point

I think the Batman film should be a soft REBOOOOT, since Justice League is definitely going to be shit too.

Not what I want but it's clear we're getting Under the Red Hood. Too many references to Jason's death and I'm guessing Ben would want to give Jared a real shot at Joker.

Shit, this was such a great scene on so many levels, the music even is chilling.

>I'm guessing Ben would want to give Jared a real shot at Joker.
I hated the Joker in SS, but I still felt that Leto had it in him to play a good Joker with a good script and director. Hopefully Batfleck will give him both of those.

I expect costly reshoots that alter the tone of the film and other studio fuckery

and I would like more warehouse fight and less MARTHA!?!

Dami ;) dick and selina and goliath!

youtube.com/watch?v=XEu3aND6WGI
One of the best things about this movie and man of steel has to be the Soundtrack

>Dami
That would lead into Teen Titans and Damian/Raven you know?

This movie suffers from that inconsistent quality. Some scenes are fucking magnificent, like this one, and other parts of the movie are just completely lacklustre.

absolutely, however suicide squad was far far worse in this aspect, it had a spare few scenes that were good, while the bad parts in this such as Lexs scenes (excluding any dialogue he has with superman) and the awful intro to the metahumans take away from the movie.

Matt Damon as Thomas Elliot.

FUCKING YES

I honestly believe the movie would have been reviewed far better if they removed those little justice league teaser scenes. Or, you know, incorporated them in ANY better way than wondie literally sitting down with a dvd menu just as the titular fight is about to kick off.

I just want a film where Batman is a total badass. Something like Dredd or Raid, where he's locked inside like Arkham or something and people are coming after him and he fucking destroys everyone. Just really clever use of action sequences and Batman being smart and doing his detective work. And no Bruce Wayne, he has nothing to offer anymore.

Rumor is that Jokers burnt it down after killing Jason in there

Honestly I don't care who's in it, but I do want it to focus more on the detective side of Batman in someway. A scene like the Predator Rooms from the Arkham games would be cool.

Maybe use The Riddler

ok I can kind of see that, but would that imply the joker knows bats identity?

That would work, would it lead into Red Hood?
And they'd probably skip stuff like this.

Thats what I was thinking. Hush could lead to Red Hood and they could streamline the story a little bit more and leave out some of the unnecessary villains(and that Superman fight).

It would also be a nice way to introduce Tim Drake to the DCEU.

No. Under no circumstances should they do Hush.
Thomas is Bruce's father's name. The memes are already there.

>even the Caped Crusader couldn't save this shit franchise. Excelsior!"

Black mask as the main villain and a bunch of C-listers like Pyg or Firefly hunting down Batman for him
>Lots of CQC and detective work
>Red Hood shows up

I'd watch that.

I want more joker since I think leto didnt get a fair shake in squad but uoure right for the next movie I don't want Joker

Deathstroke and black mask is good

Let's be honest, who doesn't know Batmans identity in the DCEU? Lex, Waller and he introduces himself to Flash and Aquaman as Bruce Wayne, not disguised as batman

That would be their chance to address that stupid writing choice I guess.

The "over the edge" storyline where Batman recruits Batgirl but one of the street level bad guys puts her in the hospital. The whole movie makes batman consider his lethality and whether or not he deserves to be alone

An adaptation of Dark night dark city would be a great story about Riddler and supernatural elements of Gotham(which have remained absent in every adaptation) and a different take on Batman's origins, with a few elements of Loeb's story where Batman meets other villains to investigate about Riddler. No Red Hood shit. Joker as a background villain rather than one of the main villains.

But he already has a dead Robin, and was killing Luthor's dudes left and right.

Too much.

Just too much.

Id take out Slade, as much as I love this guy he shouldn't be in there. For now.

Red Hood killing criminals in an open gang war between Black Mask, Zues, Penguin, and Falcone and calling Batman a hypocrite for trying to stop him

I'd kill for a Court of Owls mpvie

It definitely has to have a more horror feel, I think. It could really embody batman, as well as set it apart from other cape flicks, and even most other batman movies.

I'm okay with this as long as the joker scenes let Leto shine, I liked him in SS but you cant argue that they cut out 80% of his shit.

>Arkham Asylum
They should make a smaller more personal movie for his first solo film as Batman.

But I would remove Slade, he is a great character but I would love to see him in a solo Nightwing movie.

Too many players, as amusing as it is, I don't think audiences would want so many characters they have to follow throughout, and they only have roughly 2 hours.

I think they have to establish Gotham a bit more to do Court of Owls, how about Hush to Red Hood to Court of Owls, you'd also be able to introduce each Bat-family member as you go along, and if they want to get silly, the We Are Robin gang.

They dont have to give a lot of character development to the mob bosses. It should mainly be a device for the conflict between red hood and batman

Should be a whodunnit of batman villains

those panels gave me chills man

> Movie starts out with Batfleck patrolling his city taking down various recognizable supervillains
> Couple with flashbacks to his parents' murder and subsequent journey, the latter cheifly against hardmode enemies like mr freeze and clayface
> Arkham fills up with colorful characters
> Occasionally we see the people Batfleck sends there being brainwashed as a mysterious figure laughs in the darkness
> Near end of movie mass break out of Arkham prisoners, all now dressed like deranged circus freaks with hideous grins as they wreak havoc across the city
> It's almost too much for Batfleck when wonderwomb and supersand save his impotent wick
> "We'll handle these guys, you get the boss"
> Batfletch to Arkham alone, a crowbar from the shadows cracks his femur and he collapses on the ground
> From the shadows emerges, Danny Devito as the Joker
> Devito pulls his pants down and farts in Batwretch's face, speckling him with droplets of acidic joker venom
> At the last minute a nubile tween leaps out from the darkness and overpowers the Joker, saving batcuck
> It's Miley Cyrus as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl
> She easily takes out the Joker and holds Batflock close as he sobs into strong her shoulder
> Buttmourn realizes that his time has come and gone and introduces Barbara to subparmoon and wanderwhat, she'll be taking the mantle of Batman for the remaining films
> Wayne in turn will dedicate himself to finding new young heroes across the world to culturally enrich the justice league

Seems unnecessary then, in any case if they do Red Hood, the climax would be Jason and Bruce fighting each other and of course the Joker thing.
There's no getting around the comparisons, they might as well try to one up the Winter Soldier fights, since Jason isn't mind controlled, and they both have lots of gadgets to throw at each other.

But what happens if Black Mask reveals himself just to be the Joker?

Good. It's all the better when Ben saves the DCEU.

It's been five years.

You sound like an asshole complaining about Crisis on Infinite Earths in the 90s.

Cyborg isn't a member of the Titans anymore.

Gnarrk is.

Neither is Jericho, Starfire, or Terra, but you don't see anyone complaining about that now do you?
