I saw a movie when I was a kid, and I have never been able to figure out what the hell it was I saw. The only things I remember from it are:
>Absurdist comedy, most likely set in the medieval era >The narrator is reading from a book and gets killed and replaced by another narrator more than once; at one point I think they even had a guy in a gorilla costume kill the narrator and grab the book >A man is in disguise and taken into a dungeon, where he sees a woman being tortured by being spun around on a wheel; she recognizes him and nearly blows his disguise, and he tells them to keep spinning her faster so she shuts up >The ending involves a woman, I believe the same one on the torture wheel, chasing after another woman trying to tear her clothes off to reveal a birthmark that would prove they're long-lost sisters
It had a very Monty Python/Mel Brooks vibe to it, but I read the synopsis for the handful of films I haven't seen and none of them seem to be this movie.
For further clarification, it would have been the very early 90's when I saw this film, if that helps narrow it down.
Brandon Williams
Really long shot here, but The Adventures of Baron Munchausen? It's not medieval but it's the only I've found with a gorilla, unreliable narrators and python-esque humor.
Oliver Nelson
I mean, look where we are. It checks out.
Logan Wright
sounds like a Leslie Nielsen movie
Colton Moore
Wow I know I've seen it and I'm really angry I can't think of it now I read this. I want to say the Life of Brian or another skit they did about the Spanish inquisition. But that could be wrong.
Caleb Peterson
Not it. Good try though.
Nope, nothing to do with Life of Bryan or the Spanish Inquisition. I don't believe it had anything to do with the Pythons, just a similar style of absurdist/dark humor.
Hudson Ross
Another long shot here: The High Crusade?
Josiah Lopez
I don't remember any aliens in the film, so probably not, but I'm actually going to have to check that one out now.
Jaxson Thompson
not that guy but are you always this shitty when asking for free help?
Zachary Wood
I haven't seen it so I've no idea if it features any of the scenes you mentioned, but Jabberwocky was a medieval comedy directed by Terry Gilliam just a few years after Holy Grail. Could that be it?
I'm pretty sure I've seen a 1970s porno with this plot, it's on xhamser but was only labeled something like greatest movies of all time 39.
Leo Watson
>Start thread asking people to name a movie that doesn't exist. >Add a pic of tits >enjoy the (you)s
Lincoln Smith
filthy fucking casual who doesn't read the plot description before bullshitting about what he's talking about
Gavin Thompson
History of the world part 2
Cameron Price
Black Knight
Benjamin Cooper
Im sure its holy grail with the gorilla hand taking the book thing. Maybe youre confusing a few movies. Also try princess diaries
Josiah Price
This, he's definitely mixing moveis up
Parker Lee
Quite possible, I saw Holy Grail for the first time around the same time. And I was, like, five at the time.
But nobody knows of a movie that ends with a crazy woman chasing after another woman trying to rip her clothes off to expose a birthmark that would prove they're long lost sisters?
