>You could have went to the gym and gotten an impressive body >You could have made friends >You could have had sex >You could have read books and gotten knowledgeable on multiple subjects >You could have gotten welloff financially by working hard >You could have started a business >You could have studied in university >You could have gotten a good job after graduating >You could have started a family >You could have known what it feels like to be loved >You could have failed at all these things but learned from the experience

Oliver Roberts
At least I know a few british insults now, you bent poofter
Ryder Ross
whats your current situation? still at home? got your own place? job?
Kevin Hill
Fulltime job, living with parents. Feel terrible knowing I wasted years as a neet instead of spending it productively.
How do I avoid negative people and focus on my goals?
Lucas Myers
Save every penny you can. Learn how to budget well so you can move out to your own place. Living on your own and taking care of yourself is extremely rewarding in and of itself. Don't dwell on mistakes you've made in the past, take what you can from the lessons you learned making sure not to repeat them. In terms of other people, general of thumb is if you don't enjoy being around them or they don't make you want to be a better person than they shouldn't concern your thoughts. It's never to late to get on with your life. Don't compare yourself to your peers, you are your own person. If you do all of that, your goals will become clearer and more precise. Think about the sort of life you want to be living in ten years and develop a plan on how you would be able to sustain that and thrive.

Bump.

>You could have failed at all these things but learned from the experience deepest thing you ever wrote.
Nicholas Bennett
Oops bumped as you replied.
I save every penny and have nearly maxed my TFSA. How can I find some friends who will inspire me and be positive influences? I mostly spend all my time at work, in the gym or on Sup Forums.
Liam Harris
That's a tough area for me as well. I left home for the military for four years and the friends I had through high school were toxic. I've pretty much burnt bridges with everyone I've known. There's a couple people at school that I hang out with occasionally, but I have little intention of remaining in contact when I'm done. I'm a lonely fuck. I pretty much do the same as you except replace school with work.
Matthew Thompson
I am thinking about leaving Sup Forums, what are your thoughts? This place feels very negative and not constructive to my growth.
Do you ever feel like Sup Forums lowers your self expectations?
Nathan Gutierrez
Absolutely, some of the conversations here can give a negative perspective on life. I feel like if you realize people are just talking shit then it's harmless. However, there are definitely more productive things to do rather than shitpost :)
Bentley Gray
I want the challenge though. Every day I have to struggle to not kill myself. That's what true living is about. Aynone can live a good life and be successful and happy. Life's not worth it if you don't suffer.
Andrew Turner
I think I'm just about to leave this place for good... it isn't worth it. It feels like almost everyone is just trying to drag me down to their miserable level here.

>Now all your peers are way ahead of you The best part is that my peers are not ahead of me. 80% of the people I know have been muscled out of their trained profession and are retail plebs, just like me. It doesn't matter if they're buff, brainy, or beautiful—we all got fucked and we're all working in fucking retail stores.
