I met a guy who took part in an academic study on the Sup Forums userbase, which hasn't been published yet. The author told him that Sup Forums is a peculiar board because it seems a far lower female userbase than most other large boards. Again, that study hasn't been published so you only have my word to go off of.

there is no reason for a woman to post on an anonymous imageboard, it's not an effective platform for attention whoring so it doesn't make sense for them

It can be, but even still this board isn't 100% bants, there's generals to ERP in and vocaroo threads to exist in for attention.

Even /cgl/ is more males than females. Even /soc/ and Sup Forums have a ton more males than females. Accept it that girls aren't and will not make anywhere close to a majority on any board in the foreseeable future.
