Hopefully things like this will stifle the trend of foreign investors only seeing Dublin when it comes to opening new businesses in Ireland. Investing in the regional cities is what the government's upcoming National Development Plan is aiming to encourage, and Cork and Limerick have by far the greatest potential given that Galway and Waterford are basically large towns. Once the M20 motorway is built, the twin cities of Cork and Limerick could become a significant economic powerhouse.
