nly part of the story boards that seems off is the timing regarding the section between when they get into the car and when they run into the police block.

I think the song itself needs work/remixing. Your music video has peaks of action that just aren't getting the escalation of intensity they warrant

Jenny is one of my favourite songs from them, but I really dislike the video, which is almost wholly at odds with the actual content of the song. I can get wanting something positive to put out in the face of pride and the supreme court decision, but the song is basically about a stalkerish and ultimately doomed case of tragically unrequited love, one just as dysfunctional as the rest of the relationships which get featured in the SK discography. Before watching the video, I was under the impression that the character of Jenny was completely straight, which even furthers the gulf between the two. Meanwhile the video tries to make stealing someone's stuff and using their shirt as a pillowcase as a romantic quirk.

That's pretty shitty, but I was focusing on the plot strictly in the song. I'm just saying that talking about "the triumph of love" even if we ignored that aspect of the video, is completely at odds with the song itself, which is really way more emotionally impactful as a relationship that can never happen.

I can't find the article, but there was an interview with Del where he said that working with Gorillaz was kinda just a last-minute sit-in, and that he didn't really know much about the project, or have any attachment to it. Apparently Clint Eastwood was supposed to have somebody else featured, but they bailed, so Del was called in. I'd honestly be surprised if he came back to the project for the new release.
