Rocky is the only good one. The rest are popcorn entertainment but not good filmmaking.
Rocky is definitely the best movie of the series, without question. The rest are popcorn flicks.`
My problem with the original rocky film is that it focuses to much on rocky and Adrian, and in all the films rocky is the least interesting character and its the characters around rocky that make the movies interesting
That's because the interesting bit of Rocky's story is told in the first movie. It's already covered. He is the most interesting character in the first movie by a longshot because he hasn't made it yet, and even at the end, it seems like he's not going to make it.
I don't want to mix them up, but the one with Ivan Drago is my favorite.
The one with Tommy Gunn is the cringiest piece of shit Stallone has ever done since directing Staying Alive.
Rocky I > Rocky Balboa >Rocky II > Rocky III = Rocky IV > Rocky V
why does 5 get a bad rep
"Kick his ass, He Took My Room"!
It's ugly 90s schlock
>rocky 1 bottom
Faggot here is a real list
Rocky 1
Rocky Balboa
Rocky 5
Rocky 2
Rocky 4
Rocky 3
They are all kino
>Rocky V that high
Now we know you haven't seen them.
What is wrong with 5
It shows Rocky being a mentor while his kid is cringe as fuck 4 is way goofier
Rocky 4
Rocky 2
Rocky 1
Creed
Rocky 3
Rocky Balboa
Rocky 5
His own kid is in it wearing an earring
Shitty brain damage plot
Lame villain
Forced drama with all rocky's money suddenly disappearing
All the side characters they could've used to make it better got killed off
Last street fight was lame instead of epic
That one shot with Rocky coming out of his "potentially deadly" knockout with the train going by is so tacky it hurts
The guy who played Tommy Gunn died of AIDs related complications after trying to restart a boxing career by having a fixed fight, by the way.
He has a streetfight against gunn and it's stupid
Not that user, but IV is pure entertainment.
I never said I didn't like 4
They are all good
>Actual Films tier
Rocky 1
>Rocky vs Godzilla: Plan 9 from outer space tier
Rocky 3
Rocky 4
>just plain boring tier
Rocky 2
Rocky 5
>stallone masturbating himself on camera tier
Rocky Balboa
Creed
I'm not saying the entire concept was bad but the execution was terrible. It was supposed to be a return to the dramatic aspects of the series but was done shoddily. IV was schlock but because it wasn't overdone with the forced drama it retained the suspense because it doesn't have a dramatic pacing. Rocky V was just always boring to me because there's nothing to get invested in and nothing interesting happening ala cool new training montages.
Ur stoopid
Rocky
Rocky Balboa
POWER GAP
Rocky 2
Creed
Rocky 4
SMALLER POWER GAP
Rocky 3
POWER GAP INTO OBLIVION
Rocky 5
>what is wrong with5
>his kid is cringe as fuck
You answered your own question
Anything Rocky-centric fares well. He has humility, heart and humor. When a "good guy" boxer is the focus it falls apart. I understand boxers are tough and have an ego, but Gunn and the Black guy are very unlikable.
>Rocky 4 not ranking as 1
Marxist faggot confirmed.
This. 4 is the best by a fucking mile.
Rocky 1
Rocky 3
Rocky 2
Rocky 4
Balboa
Rocky 5
>Great

>alright
II
Creed
>way better than people remember
V
3>1>2>Creed>Balboa>4>5
Rocky 1
Balboa
Rocky 4
Rocky 2
Rocky 3
Creed
Rocky 5
Real question is where was the best training montage?
Rocky 1- youtube.com
Rocky 3- youtube.com
Rocky 4- youtube.com
Rocky 2- youtube.com
Balboa- youtube.com
Rocky 5- youtube.com
Creed- youtube.com
Retarded list.
1. Rocky
2. Rocky IV
3. Rocky III
4. Rocky Balboa
5. Rocky V
6. Rocky II
7. Creed
This is the only definitive ranking if you're not a dumbass. I can accept V and II being interchangeable but at least V is full of novelty while Rocky II was just a rehash of the first film with a different end.
1. Rocky
2. Rocky 2
3. Rocky 3
4. Rocky 4
5. Rocky Balboa
6. Rocky 5
rocky 5 has 3 montages but the final one in russia had me genuinely hyped
>rocky 5
>russia
i meant rocky 4
Rocky > Rocky II > Rocky III > Rocky IV > Rocky Balboa > Creed > Rocky V
I think Rocky 1 had the best montage. Rocky 3 is a close second.
>DRAGOOOOOOOOOOO
Rocky 3's was great but kind of gay. Rocky 2 was fine, nothing special. I liked Balboa's. Creed's was great up until the end. He's jogging and comes across....an ATV gang? And then they circle around him while Terminal Rocky cheers? I just want to pretend Rocky 5 does not exist.
*Rocky 4 is a close second
My bad
>ranking a series
>literally not knowing which movie is which
enlightening thread
>Rocky 3's was great but kind of gay
This what makes it great for me. It's hilarious. Those close ups on there legs, that beach run in slow mo.
It was a typo....
>you got me curious
>you got *me* curious, Rock
The 80s truly were a different time
Rocky 4 falls into the category of most rewatchable movie. It's not good it's not bad but it's all cheese and fun. I watched Rocky 5 once and still regard it as one of the worst movies. I'm glad Tommy Gunn got AIDS
Say what you want about Rocky Balboa. But when he is actually in the ring fighting and Victory starts playing I felt like a kid again. Welled up a little.
1) Rocky (1)
2) Rocky 3
3) Rocky 2
4) Rocky 4 / Balboa
5) Rocky 5
The original movie is good because it's not just about boxing, but some guy receiving the chance of his lifetime and taking it. He wasn't any worse than the world champion and had proven his worth. He found happiness in boxing and with Adrian. His life was stuck and going down, and then he was able to turn things around.
The second movie is not good but it's enjoyable, because it's the long awaited rematch. It's kino and it's got cringeworthy acting sometimes, but a good, enjoyable kino with the ending people wanted.
Rocky 3 is there pinnacle of kino because it's got development. He was stuck in his comfortable position, his trainer passed, he doubted himself. Once again, his life was lifted up by Apollo giving him one chance, joining him up against Lang. It has some awesome moments about friendship, relationship with his wife and going from doubting himself to believing and succeeding.
4 was a bit bad but really watchable and enjoyable, makes sense.
5 was bad, made sense but it's frustrating.
6 was much like 1, touching, a good idea, lots of good dialogues but there's something about cutscenes I didn't like.
Back when I was in Football training we would always listen to the Rocky 4 soundtrack in the weight room. It was really a solid soundtrack.
>Creed last
Gee I wonder why
Phillys ghetto is weird. Nobody has money but they always have mini bikes, ATVs or dirt bikes. Police don't even try to enforce the law on that one.
Wel you need to go watch The Specialist. He has a sex scene with Sharon Stone where it's basically them flexing while fucking.
1
2
3
6
4
5
>implying Rocky isn't also popcorn entertainment
go back
Because it was a piece of shit? The lead had no charisma? I can go through a long, valid checklist before I get to using the word 'nigger' you cuck faggot.
Quality-wise:
I > Balboa > II > Creed > III > V > IV
Entertaining-wise:
III > I > II > Balboa > IV > Creed > V
>ranking robot sex slave that low
What is wrong with you?
