Do Australians actually like having the union jack on their flag?

Do Australians actually like having the union jack on their flag?

yes it's part of our history and british identity.

You sure did

no, we need to change our flag and become a republic

Apparently not considering we removed it?

More indifferent than anything. On a purely visual scale, the Eureka flag looks better but treasonous rebels should never be commemorated.

>Change our flag
Why?
>Become a republic
Why?

You hear very few arguments for these which aren't emotionally-charged

are you sure

you seem to have red and white stripes

thanks for keeping our design we made for you

thanks for keeping the red white and blue

>the Eureka flag looks better

Yes it is something I think about everyday

Neither the flag nor our current system of government represent the multicultural and cosmopolitan nature of our country

Sure it does, UK is multiculti too

Australia isn't real.

I don't really care ideologically Britain>>>>Chongs and fats
and the flag looks fine, the union jack is also one of the most aesthetic flags, not boring like commie ones/tri colours/nordic crosses and not gross looking like the American
the eureka flag is just cringey

So a flag should change when its country's demographics change? LOL
Don't get me wrong, the Union itself is a great flag, but it being downscaled and shoved into the upper-left corner makes it quite unappealing

I'll sack up and admit my mistake, I thought the Eureka flag was something different until I looked it up. It's not bad but it is a little bland.

>British identity

they should just use the union jack with letters AUS semi-transparent on top. current one looks stupid, some random stars what do they even mean, new zealand has them too

Crux

Brazil has it too

Actually we modeled the red white and blue after our best pals France

...

no mate, you took it from the british east india company

One day. One day

Embarrassing.
