Well duh, they see crying people.

If you desperately want to try and bait the SU fanbase just do it in the fucking general. Stop clogging up the board with this crap.

Crying, mostly.

Also singing.

Normally I just ignore all the crying but holy shit this episode and the hamfisted crying

It's Transformers for girls and faggots

Some are still hoping for more of a story focus, though most "real" fans just enjoy the SoL aspect of the show.

garnet is really creepy in her interactions towards stevonnie

This. It's really fucking weird.

>hamfisted
>14 year old feels guilt when he cannot live up to his dead mother, believes he has corrupted a gem, gave up on someone and threw them into space, and realizes that his own mother killed a leader of a large civilization of gems. All of this slowly build up within him until he's at his breaking point, and is nearly unable to snap out of his own guilt and depression.
>Hamfisted

it's a show by girls for girls

Why are you still watching it yourself?

Themselves.

For the porn

If you don't see the appeal then it's not your thing. That simple.

You don't have to keep watching the show for porn.

I'm fine with the crying, it's all the damn singing that annoys me now.

When did Steven grow his hair out?

I fucking love it how people on Sup Forums say "it's just SJW propaganda that keeps pushing its agenda!" When they're the one's pushing an agenda by clogging up the board with shit like this.

I only cry in private. I guess if I was a fat kid or a woman I could get away with it in public.

Since SU is a very feminine show, they deal with their problems in a feminine way.

Nah, Steven was going straight up manly, bottling up his feelings and burying them deep down.

He's got too much of his mom in him, though.

One Piece has more crying and by far more manly than Steven Universe.

Getting a little tired of the crying, there's been too much of it as of late episodes. No tears, only dreams now.

Yeah, I hate this show too.

I used to like cartoons.

...

Crying got a tv show?

Why hasn't Steven fused with Garnet yet? Garnet probably really wants to, but is waiting for Steven to make the first move

what do people see in whining: the board?

Whining, mostly.

>Ghibli tears

Is there nothing this show won't copy? Oh wait, I'm sorry. "Pay tribute to."

anything of quality

Honestly it kind of makes sense. Garnet is a near permanent fusion, even among other gems she's an incredible rarity. Stranded on earth she's completely unique. There are very few creatures that share her experience even partially, and most of them by nature of being fusions only last a short while. That's why she gets so excited about Stevonnie and Smoky Quartz. It's a chance to make a new friend that's like her.

The closest comparison I can think of is imagine being the only person of your race or religion in a town and then occasionally someone of the same race or faith came to visit.

this

...

Maybe if Steven hadn't cried dramatically 20 times before and comically 50 times before, these tears would actually hold some weight.

Kind of like how the crying in Ed Edd n Eddy: The Movie is actually sad because it's the first time we've seen Eddy actually crying.

It's like Garnet is waiting with baited breath for steven to announce a permanent fusion with connie.
I get that she's excited about fusion, but she's borderline aggressive about it.

It's neither feminine or masculine, it comes down to Steven bottling up and stressing out of his recent failures and his mom being shown in a much different light.
I guess Steven is not used on being the source of the dysfunction. If anything, it's one of the few times were crying in this show sort of makes sense.

It's kinda proof that Gems can fuse with humans. Wouldn't you be stoked to find out you could "reproduce" (or live forever, whatever happens happens) with a non-carbon based, non-organic alien race?

Its not Teen Titans Go

This and Pearl crying in Rose's Scabbard were some of the FEW times the crying was actually good in this show.

Are you saying Ghibli is shit or SU is shit?

this and
especially this. why do people say that SU is cancer, when this is still airing?

>Them falling basically identical in Spirited Away
This entire fucking show is one big fan fiction in disguise.

yeah the first time. Not extremely overbearing every time it happened.

>A show can't be bad if a worse show is airing!
By that logic you can't hate Teen Titans Go! because Penn Zero is around.

Maybe you should GO ASK /SUG/. It is right there for you, 24/7
the answer is lore and heartbreak.

Peedle is the only time I felt empathetic to a character crying in SU

Real men cry, user.
Real men cry.

What was with this episode's weird anime music video?

the LORE is actually pretty interesting to me, and it actually tries to tell a continuous story instead of just one episode throw aways(overall), which i personally like.

the crying usually doesn't feel out of place, but yeah that does say alot for the tone they go for in it.

it most assuredly not for everyone and i just happen to be a person who can enjoy it.

No, but people on Sup Forums either talk about how they like it, or hate it. And the ones who hate it never mention other, worse shows that are still airing.

Mother fucking this

This desu. When people make SU threads even though /sug/ is here, is retarded.

>And the ones who hate it never mention other, worse shows that are still airing.
Because that doesn't fucking matter. In fact, that's how shit SHOULD be graded on, it's own merit. Otherwise I can say Steven Universe is the worst shit around because Kubo came out recently.

>they don't know that someone from studio trigger animated some of the episode

...

to be fair, having been in more generals then i like to admit across multiple boards, there actually is very good reasons not to post a question in the general.

that being simply, the generals are kinda cresspools. if he asked this same question in a general instead of its own thread, he would be lucky to get 1/10th this many replies if at all.

discussion in generals typically is non existent, with people just posting memes and one shots, and lore talk getting ignored unless the episode(or leak) JUST came out and you are the first to mention something, and even then it doesn't get the attention you get in threads like these most of the time.

ive seen this in basically every board for every general.

generals kill any real discussion on anything.

"Great artists steal, they don't do homages."
-Quentin Tarantino

>Some of the episode
Nigga we're talking about the entire goddamn show and it pumping out more "references" than Family Guy.

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE.

>pumping out more "references" than Family Guy
Now that's a long stretch.

This kind of logic is pretty dumb. It gives off the impression that the characters cry every time someone stubs their toe when it usually happens when a character has reached the breaking point of an inner conflict. plus it's also not like the ONLY thing they do when they reach that point is cry and not all of them react the same way.

The emotional weight in this episode was clearly carried and felt through more than just tears and was visually represented. You can simplify anything and make it sound bad or overdone. Even in your example I can say maybe that moment would have felt sad, if Eddy hadn't gotten beaten up and shitted on 100 times before in the series, when obviously there are more things at play that carry the emotional weight of the scene.

>Steven was going straight up manly, bottling up his feelings and burying them deep down.

Guys shouldn't bottle up feelings. It's why people still laugh when a guy gets abused by a girl or ignored when raped. Older generation of men will think they are weak if they can't handle abuse. Mentally and physically. In a long run it fucks them up.

>It gives off the impression that the characters cry every time someone stubs their toe when it usually happens when a character has reached the breaking point of an inner conflict.
Boy howdy I wish I had that "Steven Universe Crying Guide" picture saved.

You're pretty dumb, you fucking faggot.

>I only cry in private

Doesn't take much to figure out the kind of guy you are does it?

middle class white people think crying is really important.

So how bad is this if you really hate sudden songs?

>Gumball had better feels tonight and it didn't feature a single person crying

lookup male suicide rates compared to women.

What are you, some kind of pussy?

webmd.com/balance/features/is-crying-good-for-you

Lime most things, middle class white people are usually right. This is yet another example. Thank you minority-user.

This. The haters are getting more obnoxious than the fans at this point.

that was the point of the episode, yes.

Are you surprised at my tears OP?
Strong men also cry.
Strong men... also cry.

According to Sup Forums the point of the episode was about Connie PMSing.

Why are gumballfags gloating?

Yeah. At least /sug/ stays in there general.

Pear the worst

Exactly. All the outside threads are either hate, shitposting, bait, or some combination thereof.

Been watching some episodes of this flick lately

What a creepy and weird show

Fusion is like a fucking drug everyone has or is perma fused has his brains messed and obsessed with fusion. For Good reason was forbidden in homeworld.

This really, anti-/Sug/fags can't help but share every negative opinion they have on the show and THEN they have the gall to complain when people try to make legitimate SU threads when they clog the catalog with dumb shit like this.

Anyway Sugar is a huge One Piece fan which is renowned for its repeated over the top crying and tears, so that's probably why SU has a lot of crying

>feminine

naw it's really faggy.

go back
you do not belong.

Like having sex with a woman

their both cancer, like everything accept for home movies and rick and morty.

Crying is only acceptable at funerals and the Grand Canyon.

Yeah, but all shows are weird.

What about a funeral at the Grand Canyon?

Then it's a party.

>waaaaahh there's shitposting on Sup Forums ;__;
Fucking get over it, you SU faggots act like actual victims when your show gets shat on. We make tons of Alex Hirsch Is a Hack threads too and the GF fans don't have a victim complex over it. Same thing with fucking Korra, DC fans, Homestuck, anything that's "popular". People accept it's going to be used in bait and shitposts and either chime in and ignore it, but you faggots go the extra step further and actually make it sound like someone is attacking you personally and that "This NEEDS to STOP!!!".

The fuck do you think you are?

I want to wrestle Amethyst with my dick.

desu, I watch this show for its effective use of color

Just because I tolerate shit posting doesn't mean I encourage or relish in it.
This is why you can never have a serious discussion on here. We have the coherency of a YouTube comment section.

user, he's just complaining that people keep shitposting about it. It's not because he's a /sug/fag.

But it's getting to the point where threads that are not and have nothing to do with SU get derailed by shitty bait and faggots who need to share every negative opinion on the show. Perfectly good threads have been ruined by fuckers like you.

I'm not even a big SU fan and this shit is starting to piss me off. Go bait in /sug/ if you want your precious (you)s so much.

>This is why you can never have a serious discussion on here

But we do. Some threads are shitposting. And some are discussion.

Problem is you can keep the discussion out of the shitpost threads, but you can't keep the shitposters out of the discussion threads.
