I'm a skeptics skeptic. When my friends first started listening to Wu Tang and Biggie, I didn't hear the macho and misogynistic surface level. I heard this try-hard simulacra, like it was a play on a stage - a showcase where these flamboyant actors sold this vision that they didn't believe in themselves even.
