delet this

>it's a matt fitton audio

I hope you at least buy some of them when you can, Neo. Otherwise you might get a visit from a weird bald man who sounds like an alien late at night to teach you a listen.

Foreman when? When is that Genderfluid Jackass gonna get off his/her/xir high horse and make those fanfilms so I can laugh at them?

I try to buy new ranges when I can afford it, to show support and yadda yadda. But the monthlies definitely don't need my coin. And I still feel sore over preordering WarDoc audios then hating them.

>tfw listening to that torchwood audio preaching against piracy

the cloister wraiths are legit spooky desu
so underused

>/who/ presents:
DOCTOR WHO: SHIT TRIPS Vol. 2
- The Anthology -

>Are you a true fan of Doctor Who?
>Have you ever written down a sequence of words?

If the answer is yes or no, then you are ready to contribute a literary masterpiece to the second /who/ collection of original Doctor Who-based short fiction.

/who/ did it once. Now, we're gonna do it again! Yet another entry in an age-old tradition of p̶a̶c̶k̶a̶g̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶f̶a̶n̶f̶i̶c̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶g̶e̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶a̶i̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶l̶e̶g̶i̶t̶i̶m̶a̶c̶y̶ / celebrating the magic of Who and the talent of a community.

There are no limits (except the story must be at least 1 word long, and preferably not in excess of 10,000, it's short fiction you fuck).

>- Can involve any Doctor(s), companion(s), side characters, spinoff characters and beyond, as your heart desires
>- Can be in any style, whether it's "legitimate writing", "pisstake", or "shitpost".
>- Can be about absolutely anything
>- The main focus is on good fun in the vein of the wiki, although serious entries are allowed. (If you're going to write smut, maybe approach it with a degree of levity)

Stuck for ideas? Try starting with your favourite TARDIS team (or for timeliness, Whittaker 13th Doctor) and one of these authentic titles:
saberpunk.net/DoctorWho/DoctorWhoSerialGenerator.php
glyphobet.net/drwho

We are going to be starting an index on the wiki for the collection. Anyone can contribute, no signups/pitches required. If you have ideas, feel free to broadcast them.
The rest is self-explanatory. Format for uploading your work is up to you, as long as it can be conveniently copied across (and ideally don't spam long texts in /who/ directly). (Pastebin works well.)

BONUS: Anyone who wants to do cover art or "illustrations" is encouraged.

WE need more entries for classic as well as NuWho Doctors. Entries for Thirteen are accepted as well. Aug 10th is deadline

>tfw the same actor that played the veil played one

Here's a list of Doctors that still need stories. (You can still write stories with other Doctors who already have entries. In fact, I'd be glad to have them. The 12th Doctor only has three stories! And Bill doesn't have any stories. Not even Bill/ Heather smut!):

>Fourth Doctor

>War Doctor

>Tenth Doctor

Kris Marshall Doctor with Japanese companion

Morbius Doctor

Rupert Boothe Doctor

Foreman "Jack Miles" Doctor

Auton Stratagem Doctor

More Thirteenth Doctor stories would be nice as well.

I'll also accept stories with just the companions.

Perhaps a story where the Eighth Doctor and Charley run into Missy?

Or a story where Amy is stranded alone on Lesbos?

Or a story where the Eleventh and the Sixteenth Doctor battle polar bears in Russia?

Or a story where the Brigadier and the Thirteenth Doctor are hunted by a pack of wild Chumblies on an island?

Or a story with the psychic from Hide, and the Third Doctor, battle an influx of Daemons?

Or a story with the Class cast, maybe just involving April?

Someone pointed out that since Moffat tried answering some of the criticisms with the 12th Doctor era, plus the fact that he's leaving now, Foreman has somewhat lost its purpose as the "show that would be for Moffat haters."

Who is the nuttiest Doctor Who writer apart from Jim Mortimore?

Is Broadchurch S3 one of the most bigoted, sex phobic things to ever air?
>literally no instances of sex ever being a good thing
>if you own pictures of naked ladies, you're probably a rapist
>if your son watches porn, he'll probably end up being a rapist
>only bad journalists with no ethics accept to have sexual ads on their paper

This guy wrote a Torchwood episode where sex literally kills you, too. He should probably go to a psychologist and figure out his issues.
Makes me thankful that Torchwood had RTD and his fun attitude towards sex behind it.

Still, it's lame of them that even though they have all these scripts fully written, they haven't even released so much as one episode. If Luke Newman can release 4 seasons worth of fanfilms, what excuse do they have?

>Anyone who wants to do cover art or "illustrations" is encouraged.
Have you lent on Edge to try and get him to do any pics?

>Someone pointed out that since Moffat tried answering some of the criticisms with the 12th Doctor era, plus the fact that he's leaving now, Foreman has somewhat lost its purpose as the "show that would be for Moffat haters."
I said that the other day, then another user BTFO me by pointing out Foreman 'started' during the 12th Doctor era anyway. Though I still reckon it contributed to some degree.

The saga of Foreman:

Claudia's announcement youtu.be/7XbzvCh8HJ4

The genderfluid genius and Claudia youtu.be/6-wzQBgnxqs

Claudia overdoses youtu.be/7kZw0rxL87I

Claudia leaves Foreman youtu.be/jkH7wg7Zh9g

First proper teaser youtube.com/watch?v=RbP5EFeYAvc

10, his daughter literally died in front of him, and he got cucked by himself

I for one am glad to have a showrunner who recognises the evils of sex. It's not fun, its fucking demonic, and RTD pretty much ruined Torchwood by including sex scenes. Honestly it makes me feel sick just thinking about it.

Maybe he's like those 80s fans who didn't want the Doctor to have had sex (just like them!) so Susan couldn't possibly have been his real granddaughter.
And then looms and shit.

>This guy wrote a Torchwood episode where sex literally kills you, too.
To be fair, that is a gross oversimplification of the episode. If anything, it's about sex addiction, and Chibnall doesn't seem the slightest bit uneasy with sex in the commentary for that episode.

...

Some more Foreman trivia

It has a Patreon where it has literally only one person paying - www DOT patreon DOT com SLASH user?u=428725

Rumours are that the genderfluid genius rewrote scenes of Claudia kissing his Doctor and Claudia didn't like that? I'm not up to date on that but other anons have talked on it

There's a /who/ audio drama in progress of a Foreman script, all the parts seem to be done except Nirvi's (there's an user around here that's the director for it)

A /who/ mole got the series bible and scripts and shit, they're very convoluted - doctorwhogeneral.wikia.com/wiki/Foreman

The genderfluid genius is currently identifying as Jillian, not Jack, Miles - twitter.com/spacetimeboss

What media player is this?

RTD isn't responsible for the sex scenes in Torchwood though. Heck, series 1 is incredibly light on sexual content outside of Day One (by Chibnall) and Greeks Bearing Gifts. And in the former of those episodes the sex is hardly gratuitous since it's not depicted in a positive light at all, is central to the plot of the episode, and there's only a single brief sex scene in the episode anyway since they shy away from anything more. The latter episode is pretty shit, but I blame Whithouse for that.

>He should probably go to a psychologist and figure out his issues
no shit
the guy is obviously a virgin

see
friend. Plex media player.

I read that convo, Neo. Thing is, Foreman was still reacting to Eleven's era. Now, in an era where Moffat has:

> had 2 "space lesbians" finales,

>had an alien companion,

>had a black lesbian companion

>implicitly paved the way for a female Doctor

>created a female Master

>had a relatively simple Series 10

>employed a trans actor

Overall, these are serious blows for a "Moffat is sexist and homophobic and writes complicated plots" crowd. Nirvi is technically less of a "liberal-style" companion than Bill Potts is. It's much harder to say who Foreman is for now.

Yeah lol, we're of the same mind here, I was just cowed after a user poked that big hole in the argument. But the whole "MOFFAT IS ~IST SHITLORD!" narrative definitely crumbled even more during Capaldi Who.

I know nothing of the new Nirvi actress either, she doesn't seem to have an online presence like Claudia, such as it is. WIthout Claudia and a "sexist Moffat", what even is Foreman?

youtube.com/watch?v=Kt0a9kLAD4c
What is this """music"""?

pleb filter

I'd love some synthesized music in the next series.

>watches that Boleyn/Miles Q&A
>Boleyn repeatedly calls Miles a sexier Benedict Cumberbatch and says that everybody loves him/her/xim
I think his/her/xir's sexually unstable mind took that as a come-on, and that's what led Boleyn to leave Foreman.

>This is far more effective and appropriate than most 2005 post Dr who scores. However it matches it's period in the shows era so may seem odd by today's shows. Still the best!
>I think McCulloch's tracks are more appropriate for Doctor Who; as opposed to those bombastic Murray Gold scores. Not knocking Gold. He has composed some truly unforgettable soundtracks, especially in the first season.

What's your excuse?

claudia leaving that house is a big enough deal that she makes a video whenever she does, so its interesting the genderfluid genius had to come to her house. how was filming gonna work when she can barely stand to be outside

A lot of Marigold's stuff in the Capaldi era has been pretty synthy

I'm more focused on how well-furnished Jack's house looks. Of course he/she/zie/bee/whateverthefuckhisgenderisnow can invest and ditch all these stupid fan projects if his family is well-off enough.

I watch it with my daughter

There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

>The genderfluid genius and Claudia youtu.be/6-wzQBgnxqs

Oh my God it's the first time I hear them talk and they look exactly like the Doctor! asdfghjkl they're perfect for that role

Fun fact: two thirds of viewers under 15 left during Moffat's era. Now the majority of viewers are over 40.

>sometimes
>watching over 140 hours of doctor who
pick one

During moff, or capaldi? I imagine they stayed for smith

Foreman started during Series 8, and the ideas for it were borne of annoyance with Series 5 thru 7. The big thing was how it was gonna have "likeable characters" (the prickliness of early Series 8 Twelve helped Foreman's case. Right during the Series 8 to Series 9 would have been the oppurtune time to come out with Foreman.)

But Bill and Nardole, plus a likeable, more user-friendly Twelve, more or less erodes Foreman's case. The return of the Simms Master, and Gallifrey's return, also messed up Foreman. You can't suggest Moffat is against RTD Who when he brings back Simms Master.

And a female Doctor, created by Chris Chibnall with the implicit encouragement of Moffat, destroys Foreman. Because even Foreman wasn't ballsy enough for a female Doctor.

Also, Neo, how's your Shit Trips 2 fic going?

>mfw just last week there were multiple people here saying "Doctor Who is a children's show" was just a meme

Don't worry I've watched way more than 140 hours

Even Luke Newman beat Miles to the punch regarding a more progressive Doctor.
youtu.be/EWkdqW0nCik?t=3788

Is there a source for this? I mean everyone on Doctor Who forums like Gallifrey Base is over 40 and it shows in their posts but I would imagine there's still plenty of younger viewers.

>Luke Newman casts a black man as his Doctor
>Chibnall casts a woman
>Foreman is stuck with a white boy who claims to be gender confused to get girls
>Foreman now has the most conservative choice for a Doctor

>the prickliness of early Series 8 Twelve helped Foreman's case
That's a good point yeah

>You can't suggest Moffat is against RTD Who
Gah, I don't know how people ever thought this

fic is coming along, will be done soon, you getting m/any entries over last few days?

I don't know why people are acting like the quote is news, Moff has literally been banging on that drum for decades at this point

>watched
don't forget listened, to BF, too

I love that guy's grin. He's like "Hey, this might be a fan film--but I AM THE DOCTOR today. HELL YEAH!

That lore document was the weirdest thing ever.

I've gotten a few. And good to hear.

Deadline is the 10th. If anyone needs an extension, or has just now gotten a story idea they want to write but needs more time, let me know.

It had already fallen a bit in Smith's era, then it fell even more during Capaldi's.
guide.doctorwhonews.net/story.php?story=TheDoctorFalls/2&detail=profile

Full data for each episode guide.doctorwhonews.net/info.php?detail=ratings&type=date

I forgot. What weird parts were in the lore document?

Plenty of time. I'm excited to see the whole thing put together.

lmao

Foreman's? I'll quote the wiki:
-Reams and reams and reams of lore, derived from a comprehensive wiki-ing of pretty much all the bullshit from the novels (except condensed down to fit, with many creative liberties in the process, and some original fanfic thrown in for good measure), all to be explicated on screen at some point
-Master committed a suicide-regeneration into a bad guy because the Doctor was too busy saving planets to be his boyfriend
-A subversive reimagination of the Brigadier; now a firm friend to all aliens who visit the UK (he's against discrimination of any kind, see - btw it's because he's openly gay and has two adopted daughters.)

Just the inisistence on the deepest lore--they referenced Lungbarrow. But, juxtaposed with that lore, was the story element that:

>Koschei became the Master due to jealous grief over the Doctor loving the universe more than him

It was like a shipper for Ten/Simms Master got involved in the middle of an EU fan's imaginary lore doc.

Check for yourself: pastebin.com/QjWtWKm5

(just to be clear, I don't think there's anything wrong with targeting Doctor Who to a slightly older audience. But if you keep saying that it's a children's show and you lose the children, you either don't believe your own words or are doing something very wrong)

In 30 years time we'll have fans who grew up on nuwho writing and showrunning the series. Imagine how terrible it's going to get.

Looking over the doc, I remember my other issue with their lore document : they said they had planned out all the major life events of their First Doctor, and it seemed to me they were adding too much detail. Knowing all the Doctor's history isn't necessary for Who; it's actually harmful.

The thought of doing a big meta dive into Moff's era the way Moff's done to the show's in general, especially Hartnell's, is hilarious. I'd love it, it'd be such a continuity clusterfuck, but a beautiful thing to see the show evolve like that.

Yeah clearing up too much of the First Doctor's history makes the show a tonne less unqiue. The show is literally called doctor WHO

It's weird that because Foreman's been in preproduction for so long, it already feels like it's behind the times now. The era of Doctor Who it's meant to criticize is gone. The choice for their fanfilm Doctor just looks and acts like 11. What was meant to be a progressive version of Doctor Who now feels old and outdated even before it's out yet. Almost makes me sad.

Also, I notice he added Hypertime and the Bleed into his lore document. So he's not just ripping off the novels, but Warren Ellis and Grant Morrison comics too.

At the very least we'd get to revisit things like possibly Amy and Rory again somehow.

We'll probably get an old lady Billie Piper doing the Rose Tyler Adventures.

>It's weird that because Foreman's been in preproduction for so long, it already feels like it's behind the times now. The era of Doctor Who it's meant to criticize is gone.
Yup, Immigrant and I both bang on that drum, you've nailed it i m o.

I remember around the s8 finale here folks were wondering if Death in Heaven would feature cyber amy and rory risen from grave
Hey I wonder if the way Moff brought back McGann, some future showrunner will finally convince Eccleston to do something

Even for all Moffat does to provide hints of the Doctor's past, he knew enough about the Doctor's need for mystery to leave the half-human question ambiguous.

Exactly. It is a little tragic. When the Doctor is female, and the last companion was a black lesbian, and Twelve straight up calls Gallifreyans gender-fluid, Foreman no longer seems so daring.

I remember that too. I remember rumors that the Series 8 christmas special would feature a Clara splinter.

Moff adds new mysteries too - the Curator, the ambigious Cloister Wars and president's daughter stuff, etc.

Do you remember all the zany Hurt Doc theories back in the day, like people arguing he was the Other?

i don't want a prude showrunning doctor who, wtf chibs

I wasn't there. Came here during Series 8 leak era.

Sounds like fun, though.

Just finished Dragonfire
ending sucked

at least 2 people are killed horribly in every episode

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

for anyone who didn't do media studies in high school, the AB to DE scale represents the economic status of viewers. AB are middle and upper class skilled professionals, whereas DE are lower class uneducated cletuses. compare the capaldi era to rusty's soap opera trash. a huge drop in non-AB viewers. definitive proof that cletuses can't handle moffat's intelligent plots.

>Doctor playing an electric guitar while on top of a tank and wearing sunglasses in 1110 AD

This is literally the most reddit scene in NuWho and you can't prove me wrong

>killed horribly
pls
and they're always barely proper characters - not proper companions so you don't get attached and every episode ends on a positive note regardless

Scaroth reporting in.

No one nuttier than Jim?

it's a fucking GOAT scene

Nah, he didn't scream at Clara to go into the TARDIS and find some szechuan sauce.

No surprises there

I legitimately don't have an answer to that. Even Miles had enough sanity to realize that his EDAs needed to be readable for audiences to understand.

Jenna reporting in

>every episode ends on a positive note regardless

Campaign was cool, but there was no way that would have been published by any Doctor Who editor, even during the late VNA days. Not sure why Mortimore even expected Justin Richards to publish it.

tfw the mcgann brothers will never do the can-can on film

youtube.com/watch?v=Jv_glfYFFvg

rare whittaker pepe. immensely smug weapon to use against cletuses

>posting a hate symbol

What's next, the Swastika?

this is reappropriation of a hate symbol

I'm sure that when only old, male, rich, tory-voting fucks will be left watching Doctor Who we'll finally be rid of cletuses.
Also the show will probably be cancelled.

Sup, Jillian. Or Jack. Whatever you're calling yourself today. How's Foreman going?

This kinda makes sense.

Matt Smith's 1st series attracted a lot of new younger fans to start watching. But most of them have grown up since then, and the rest of the audience has gotten older or *gulp* died.

And hardly any young kids have started watching the show since then.

You can't deny that older, richer, male people are the only ones who haven't dropped Doctor Who, and they're more likely to be politically conservative. Therefore rejoicing for being rid of "cletuses" when the audience has being shifting further right-wing is objectively incorrect.

>Also the show will probably be cancelled.
I don't really know why some folks use this as like a bogeyman still. The show has already been cancelled. It's already been disgraced and stripped bare and cancelled for good, it's irrelevant that it eventually got brought back because it already happened once. Yes, Doctor Who got cancelled. Presumably it, or something similar enough, will happen again one day. That's the nature of TV. Expanded media, both (semi)official and fanfic will continue fairly indefinitely. What's the big deal? The show can't be more humiliated than it already has been throughout its days.

>thinking upper class are likely to be cletus
>doesn't think that some poor people can be conservative

ive lived in mining villages in the north of england all my life and literally never met a working class person with conservative economic views, all the kipper types are socialists economically who support the continued existance of the nhs, renationalising the railways, etc

whereas cletus are just posh gits in my experience

I've been friends with some immigrant workers, many of whom were Chinese or Mexican, who lean conservative and think Trump's all right. While I've met these really pompous lefties who kept espousing their views to eat the rich, then someone I knew looked into their history and found out they all owned luxurious summer villas.

Don't worry lads! If JodieDoctor's companion is a young, handsome man, women will will flood back to watch the show, and will outnumber the men who watch again.

Why did the give the part of the Doctor to the 2nd best actress in Broadchurch? Olivia Colman is awesome in the show, Whittaker is just good.

I was just thinking, the only people I actually know i r l that dropped the show in the Capaldi years were guys, whereas all the women I know into the show kept watching and liked him. Purely anecdotal but really made me think

AB people are more likely to be conservative than DE and that's a fact.
