>showing an image of Arkham Knight.

user if you said Asylum, City, or Origins I would have agreed with you.

Knight's story went to shit quickly.

It was okay.

Less focused than I would have liked.

>implying the way the joker was implaneted wasnt genious

>Tim/babs relationship

Its still better than Timm's fanfic

TDK Returns was a great movie, much better than that

I think that goes without saying. Fuck everything about that shit.

But user, gods and monsters exists.

Why Cass Cain isn't in this game?

I thought all the Arkham games had solid stories. Some were better than others, but they were all enjoyable.

Babs is really the bat boys' bicycle, is she?

Because Babs is more popular.

Well she does have wheels now

You know the rules, you're Robin, you bang Batgirl.

>Knight's story went to shit quickly.
As opposed to every DCEU movie?

The Dark Knight Returns came out 4 years ago.

Be more subtle next time.

>Jason Todd twist telegraphed miles away
>Batfamily member getting kidnapped every three minutes
>30 year old Babs perving on barely legal Robin, and Nightwing not giving a shit
>Jason does jack shit after the big reveal
>dur hur Batman is a bad man and needs to be alone, forces his butler to fake his death with him

Shit, not that they were really "good", but Bad Blood and JL vs Titans might actually be better

Why did they choose Jason Todd as Arkham Knight? Isn't that pretty stupid since he already is red hood? Haven't played the game yet.

Origins was pretty weak. Knight wasn't bad though, don't know why everyone bitches about it.

Yeah

Funny considering Barbara was originally created to be more independent and to NOT date Batman or Robin

Origins had the best story of the series. The Joker reveal was groanworthy initially, but it justified itself and even redeemed itself in the context of the story it was telling. Bruce had an actual arc and the game made attempts to make its characters interesting and likeable.

People just don't like it because it was a reskinned City--WHICH PEOPLE HAIL, BY THE WAY, so I don't get how having that same gameplay somehow makes the game worse by comparison. Introducing the crime scene recreation/detective bits were awesome and actually made the Batman fantasy more fulfilling than literally just beating everyone up.

Best story, best art direction, best atmosphere.

Origins had the best costumes and designs for all characters, they made Firefly cool.

>best atmosphere.
That is and always will be Asylum.

Across incarnations yes but not in the main continuity afaik

No.

Never in a main continuity no. This is the only series where they put her with Tim, and the DCAU had her with Bats as did TKJ movie. Other than that she is with Dick exclusively out of the robins.

She marries Tim in Arkham gars and wants to fuck Jason in Batman Eternal

Because alot of the problems would have been fixed very quickly with her help.

Just roll with it, it wasn't out right terrible like the Bruce/Babs one from the Killing Joke.
It was just a bland sub plot here.

I want to fuck that Scarecrow.

Asylum's story is proportionally simple to how little and simple game is.

City's story wasn't any good either.

Origins shot itself in the foot by making Joker a villain again.

>Hey what if we kill of the joker!
>But we bring him back anyway
>But in only in dream sequences so you have to listen to the shitty writing but the character won't actually do anything!

Underrated post

Hey Firefly has been cool before. Read Batgirl: Year One and Streets of Gotham: Hush Money.

>The Riddler left 8,000 pieces of shit around Gotham city
>GO FIND THEM ALL FOR TRUE ENDING

My problem with the Riddler trophies in every Arkham game was that the trophies and challenges that made you solve a riddle or puzzle were great, but too many of them were just super tedious to get. And they added more of the tedious ones every game.

Really, I think the entire Arkham series shot itself in the foot over how much they used the Joker.

In the 1st game, Arkham Asylum, he's the main villain, which is fine because it's a good start to the series, especially since it takes place in Arkham asylum itself.

Arkham City, he's one of the main villains, and the plot revolves around him a lot, but he at least dies in the end, so you think you won't see more of him right? Wrong.

Arkham Origins has Joker as one of the main villains AGAIN. This is really when the overexposure started to set in.

Arkham Knight then got so ridiculous with it, and even with the Joker dead, he somehow STILL plays an important part in the game.

Exactly! That's what made it so ridiculous. The Joker is dead, just let him be gone for good. You don't have to bring him back in a half-assed form like that. It only makes people tired of how you cling onto the Joker so much. They would've been better off with just making Two-Face much more important and pivotal in Arkham Knight. That's part of why I'm liking All-star Batman, as even Two-face himself essentially says that with Joker out of the picture, he's the top dog now, and it's his time to be the baddest motherfucker around. That's how it should've roughly been in Arkham Knight.

arkham knight was a retelling of red hood

now jason went after batman with scarecrow as the arkham knight and only adopted the persona of the red hood afterwards

Thought it was great although the stakes could have been slightly lower- then again maybe its just because I like it when batman is slightly more grounded rather than extremely comic-book-y

Jonhs is a hack that needs to stay aeay from batman

The only riddles I liked in the games were the ones that gave you character bios or Gotham City Stories, because they were actual riddles. They might not have been complicated riddles, but they were still riddles.

>Scavenger hunts are not riddles
>Race tracks are not riddles
>Deactivating a bomb in some fuckwitt's head is not a riddle

Tim was an adult tho, he just looks really short next to 6+ foot tall Wayne Ubermench.

This and also best soundtrack youtube.com/watch?v=fTDu4kmpseA

Why do people complain about the Joker in knight? He was the best part of the game.

Because they said he was dead
Same with the Knight reveal, they said it wasn't Todd but it was

Because "hurr durr so overused". I personally have no issues with it, as long as a character is good(and damn he was good) it's alright for me. Although I agree I would also like to see a bit of more screen time for other villains.

he was really good, but the thing is Rocksteady promised the Joker was really dead at the end of Arkham City and wouldn't come back for Arkham Knight, but he is actually there for the whole game, and it's like they just can't let go of the Joker.

They did a really bold move by killing the Joker in City, but they didn't assume it.

He was annoying as hell. How was he the best part?
Arkham Joker in general sucks

>user if you said Asylum or Origins I would have agreed with you.
FIFY.
Asylum had a simple story that worked and Origins actually had an all around well written plot that is solely hated because at that point everyone was tired of Joker.

His mindfucks were great, his sequences reminded me a lot of the scarecrow fights in asylum.

Can we get another prequel or are we stuck with that stupid VR shit? I still want to see Maxie Zeus, Prometheus, Clock King, and Killer Moth

my nigga

I think the devs aid they are done with batman. Shame really, would also like to see another prequel. Or perhaps something more Nightwing/Robin/Batgirl focused?

They say that and yet we're still getting Arkham VR. Chances are WB will make them run it into the ground

>complaining about getting Joker again
>in a batman product

Simply epic

It was so good that the only good part was Joker.

Superman should at least have offered to help when the city wide gas bomb went off. I know Bruce is autismal about only having the bat family protect Gotham but he could have last have laser eyed a drone or two.

>Injustice Gang easter egg
>Nothing Justice League related
WHY

Like they'd focus on anyone but Batman lol
They kinda proved they simply don't know what to do with the batfamily or don't really care

Yeah, Batman need new developers for its games.

...

There are a few Superman references. Most notable goons saying that while Batman is scary, they wouldn't dare fight that freak in Metropolis.

>retard leg brace
>wannabe freddy hand
>fucked up face

this might be the visually coolest iteration of scarecrow but he is a joke tier villain right next to Riddler that should be barely taken seriously

I really, really liked Nolans Scarecrow

theres also a voicemail from Lex to bruce that you can listen to as Hush and theres a thug that lost a bet because he thought that he heard somewhere about Batman being an alien refugee from a dying planet

>but he is a joke tier villain right next to Riddler that should be barely taken seriously
>I really, really liked Nolans Scarecrow
I love that contradiction.

I didn't finish this game because of the Batmobile shit.

The story of a Boy and his Tank

>Joker virus
>Joker brain download
>Joker thought demon

Nope it was completely retarded.

Shut up

It'd be fine if it was just
>Bruce is a little bit crazy
>Sometimes you see the Joker from a distance, or a character is replaced with him and as soon as they're obscured they change back to whoever they really are.

The fact that Jokers blood is, when mixed with Titan, enough to contain his personality and is able to dominate and control whoever takes this blood transplant is retarded. I just replayed the Movie Studio area earlier, fuck it's stupid.

Origins was good, it just didn't go far enough in certain places and was a bit too familiar in others.

That's why he's a good villain.

Nolan's scarecrow was the only villain to be in all three movies. I wonder why

Why the hell did Scarecrow even release the gas after the civilians got out? He fucked up his own men.

Because he was a fucking joke in all three films and that allowed to use him as comedic relief.

She friendzones Jason, and Jason whines about not being as good as Dick Grayson

>People just don't like it because it was a reskinned City--WHICH PEOPLE HAIL, BY THE WAY, so I don't get how having that same gameplay somehow makes the game worse by comparison.
Because people expected a bit of creativity when they pay money for a new game? If they wanted City, they'd play City again

>tfw when Assassin's Creed Syndicate was better than Arkham Knight
>tfw when Shadow of Mordor was a better Arkham game than Arkham Knight

>Batman Begins Scarecrow
>a joke

Someone should rewatch that film.

Nigga, he was only not a joke before amateur Batman ups his game and fucks him up for the first time, which was hilariously humiliating albeit poetic. Then he loses all credibility as a villain.

...

I thought it was a kind of interesting character moment when they first brought it up in Brazil, but they kept pushing it hard through the rest of the series just made me roll my eyes.

Bait.

For all of it's own faults, yes you are right.

As indimating as Arkham Asylum/Arkham City's take is...I think Origins had the best looking Killer Croc.

Seeley wrote the Brazil stuff where Jason helps out someone he used to admire, in turn, earns her respect. Tynion wrote the "Jason pining endlessly over Barbara and never being good enough"

What a fucking surprise.

Rocksteady exaggerated Killer Croc.

Yeah but I give it a pass since:

Asylum: It adds more tension to his sewer section.

Knight: It's somewhat justified as to why he looks like that.

they exaggerated nearly everyone

Hold up, where does Croc appear in Knight? I don't remember him being there.

He shows up near the end during the Joker Hallucination

And there's a DLC Sidemission with him in it.

Jason friendzones her first

I gotta say, Roger Craig Smith makes a pretty good Batman.

>Origins
Kill yourself.

Asylum and Origins both had very good atmospheres. But they were different atmospheres. I prefer Origins because I have a soft spot for snow-covered Christmas decorated modern American cityscapes. But Asylum did what it set out to do very well.

this
In his DLC it's elaborated that he was being experimented on, pretty much tortured by the doctors in Iron Heights penitentary: a mobile aircaft prison. The cut off body parts to test his healing factor and treated him and pretty much everyone else in that prison like animals. everytime he healed he mutated more

>Shitty "Joker is dead but haha his blood puts his personality in your body and he can take you over"
>Pic Related
>And then pulling Jason Todd
>unrelated, but the state of the PC version on day one

I await all the BabsxSteph porn then.

Oh God, that was the worst PC port of a AAA title in years. Arkham Knight had an overwhelmingly negative score on Steam for at least three months after it came out. In fact, didn't they pull the game from the Steam Store for at least a few weeks until they could add some emergency patches?

I wanted to see her in an Arkham game, dammit!
