I bet you consider The Usual Suspects is a masterpiece too

Just watched this and i think i must be retarded cause i was lost about 20 minutes in.

Just because Sup Forums didn't like TDKR back in 2012 and fixated on a couple of lines in the plane scene as shorthand for what was wrong with it doesn't mean the rest of Nolan's films are bad.

>underrated
No it isn't. Are you a teenager that just saw this for the first time?

no but it's bretty good

>capeshit
Back to r*ddit

It's good, but far from underrated
It's not better than most of Nolan's other work, which isn't an insult

Nobody "focused" on it, we barely talk about it
youtu.be/scpPF7S9TRA

where's the wide acclaim for it, and if it's not the most underrated movie of the last twenty years, what is this is a secondary motivation for this thread

You've only just started posting recently, haven't you?

>"focused"
>fixated

>we barely talk about it

Every one of my pleb-taste friends who talked about this movie thought it was muh complex plot and thus genius.
It's not underrated at all, rather overrated. Brings nothing new to cinema. Just another good flick that's all.

>one million imdb votes
>8.5 on imdb
>made by one of the most mainstream directors of our times
>on every "le mindfuck xD" list
>underrated

Back to your sub!

>implying I'm not a (you) farming bot

>doing a poor job of hiding that you're a dumbass

Why would there be wide acclaim for a 6/10 flick? What's the primary motivation?

>Brings nothing new to cinema.
It was groundbreaking at the time of its release you child

Not having wide acclaim isn't the same as being underrated

It's got the same punch as Fight Club, but with underwhelming visuals, characters and dialogue.

>driving a sub 200 hp import

...

How so?

Memento's his best film by a mile

*Do not believe OPs lies*

The nonlinear narrative?

>ill-informed, overly opinionated contrarian Sup Forums morons lead around by the nose by memes

You can fuck off now, thank you

Hell no

The only thing Memento does better than the rest of his work is the storytelling

The characters are mediocre and it's visually very boring
Memento is miles worse than Dunkirk and The Dark Knight
I'd say it's on par with Interstellar, which isn't bad unless you're memeing

More like the best Nolan movie
PROVE ME WRONG I DARE YA

The moviewas well received, has about 10x more good stuff written about it than bad and launched Nolan into the big-leagues.

Who's under-rating it?

>underrated
lol

Memento is fucking awesome bruh

To be fair even TDKR is still better than 90% of capeshit

It's clearly not the first nonlinear film, but the structure is obviously very unique and well thought-out. It's a very well-made film.

Not sure why I'm trying to convince contrarian shitposters of that though. You're so caught up in who likes something rather than the quality of the thing itself.

>kills someone
>forgets about it

What was the fucking point?

my god

this board is so fucking pleb its awful

to kill someone and forget about it

that's not TAOJJBTCRF

why would you shoot a man before forgetting about it?

You post like a moron and being a contrarian isn't the same as having taste. You probably weren't even old enough to be aware of this film when it came out.
