Thank God I'm not the only one.

I wasn't so much traumatized by this as I was confused by what the fuck happened and continued for years to think that if you took off your helmet in space your head would turn into a solid chunk of ice.

When I saw it, I was smart enough to know that taking your helmet off would kill you, so I thought Arnold killed himself just because his cousin was annoying.

Pretty much anything from this show.

I also thought his eyes turned into screws.

I don't get it.

...

Dude went out with a smug ass expression.
He didn't give a shit.

What actually is this comic? I've only seen parodies.

Boku no Pico

youtube.com/watch?v=O8k7hlN5l9w

I saw this when I was like 3 or 4 years old. I didn't understand it because I was a wee lad, but it was too intense

It's from the series "The Magic School Bus", an educational series that introduces basic science to children. In the episode about the solar system, the character Arnold takes off his helmet while on Pluto. As a result, his entire head freezes, as seen in OP's pic.

I have literally no idea what the name of the cartoon was, my mom rented the tape from the library. I'm pretty sure it was a collection of shorts. And in this one short, a fly tells a donkey about how amazing dew tastes. Convinced that dew is the greatest thing ever, the donkey stops eating and tries to get up early enough to drink the dew. It ends up starving to death. I took the tape out of the VCR and never tried watching it again.

I think it's my first memory of CG animation. It gave me nightmares for a few days.

Questionable content actually isn't that bad. I mean, it's not Citizen Kane, but it's a comic. It's a bit doofy, but it's not like... Assigned Male, which makes even a transgirl want to throw up.

That's the other thing that bugged me, he should have been fucking dead. Hauling him back into the (certainly not 100% sealed) bus and thawing his head out wouldn't bring him back to life.
Looking back on it I was completely fine with 95% of the other bullshit they pulled during that show.

Taking off your helmet in space wouldn't kill you(immediately anyways) though in the first place

I bet I could get off your helmet in space

He was on Pluto.

I still feel uncomfortable looking at it.

Oh never mind then

Did your daddy teach you how?

...

...

That was metal

for the thread,

I legitimately thought he was going to explode when I was a kid, it freaked me out

Inb4 loss shitpost.

Was it made to look this fucked up on purpose?

This scene used to make me feels so sad for years.

I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going

Where is this from? This is horrifying, as a kid I could see why you'd be traumitized from it.

I think it's the helplessness of the person that makes someone feel angry and upset about this.

that Simpsons scene where Homer's face melts off.

The first time I saw Happy Tree Friends I never even saw a drop of blood or extreme violence before. I was a young kid expecting cute animals and was blindsided

Not really Sup Forums related, but this shocked me as a kid.

>be 7 years old
>it's movie day with dad
>already seen Shrek, nothing else to see
>oh there's this movie called "Scary Movie"
>beg my dad to take me to go see it, he says it's not for me
>I don't believe him, I believe every movie has a good feel ending
>he takes me
>I see a human dick go through a man's earhole and out the other ear

I didn't understand anything that was happening until years later. I can't believe the theatre let me see the movie.

Animatrix.

It's a collection of like 10 stories, 8 of which are shit. But the 2 that are good are really good. The .webm is from The First Renaissance, which is basically the backstory of the world of The Matrix. It's good, if not incredibly disturbing.

That short gave me laughs for days.

(Not that user)
The Animatrix. As a stupid 14 year old I loved the Matrix and all of its references to Eastern religions and Greek philosophy. It had me learning Sanskrit and reading Plato's The Republic. When I first discovered the Animatrix I thought "wow so cool". I watched it and got mindfucked. Haven't watched it since. I'm in my 20s now.

Why did you have to remind me of this?

Oh I remember seeing that film when I was a kid. Fuck that film, nobody should show that to a child. My brother showed that to me and I remember being so upset when the group of humans beat up that gynoid to the point her skin was tearing off. I think what made me feel so sick was the fact she was screaming for help while it was happening.

Fuck the japanese, they know how to make horrifying mind shit.

This episode was genuinely spooky.
But I also used to really love it?

I was so freaked out from the scene where a robot squashed a woman's head.

>Brave Little Toaster
Not posting this.
m.youtube.com/watch?v=YEdZh8a4ZvE

Yes. It was still art, but it was absolutely horrifying even as a 14 y.o it still made me scared and look away.

Dear god this thing gave me nightmares for YEARS.

The bad ends still haunt me to this day.

youtube.com/watch?v=L0K6Cb1ZoG4

Starts at the 4:40 mark. I still think it's messed up, but that could just be because of the mark it left on me as a kid. What do you guys think, who've never seen it before?

Brave Little Toaster is like Toy Story but with more existential angst. Is this not one of the darkest songs ever in a kids' movie?
youtube.com/watch?v=FqT2uOa1-d0

The series where ejaculating on children is educational? Good times!

>Never tapping dat ass
Kek

I'm not watching that, sorry

This. Existential crisis by kitchen appliances.

It gets even worse when you see the other robot guy being forced to watch it happen

That's understandable. The levels of matte painting in this feature remind me a lot of Junji Ito's manga Gyo.

Actually watching all of this for the first time, it seems that the really evil people in this short were the humans. And in a way they got what was coming to them. But then the robots turn evil in the end, by losing their humanity.

So that others can remember the sadness.

This scene didn't really bother me, I think it's once the song started I couldn't feel all that sad about it because the music was too upbeat despite what they were saying.

Animatrix scared the living shit out of my childhood

>Jamie Hyneman before fame.

youtube.com/watch?v=M18HWNck7-A

Recent movie, but this scene made the kids in the front row scream when I saw it in IMAX.

youtube.com/watch?v=L3uDjjFFRGQ

O-oh...her head was torn apart, not just squished....why did I watch it again?

Hey, that reminds me of the creepy vocaloid with half a face.

So were there any other good stories in Animatrix besides the Second Reconnaiseance

...

How did the Matrix end anyway? Were all the robots destroyed or reprogrammed to not be such jerks to humankind?

I wish to God Rogue had held onto that bitch until she never took another fucking breath. Fuck Carol Danvers.

>they made kids think about what would happen to their eyes if they froze in the vacuum of space

wait... was that the one that threw away plot/character/globetrotting for CG and QUESTWORLD?

The First Renaissance is so retardedly over the top. You can tell that the people writing it were crying to themselves over their DEEEEEEEP ~*~pathos~*~ about the plight of the poor, abused robots.

The only way it works at all narratively is if you go into it thinking "This is literal propaganda made by the robots after having won the war. Of COURSE it's retarded and over the top."

Why would they do put that in a kids show?

Does anybody remember this character from Beast Wars and the episode they are from?

Fucking creepy and sad.

World Record was pretty good. Good soundtrack and animation, at least.

Something about the design of the wolf in Disney's "Peter and the Wolf" scared me shitless as a kid.

youtube.com/watch?v=qKY2HnXTi2Y

People nowadays (rightly) shit on Garfield for being formulaic garbage, but there was an actual time where it was pushing boundaries and being fucking surreal. Check out this segment from "Garfield's 9 Lives."

THE MAN IN GAUZE is a close second

>find comic
>start comic
>binge the shit out of it til caught up
>never pick it back up because updates so frequent i can't fucking find where i stopped

NOT A FARMER
god that show was the fucking best

>9
>"Hey guys! Let's mix Toy Story and Terminator!"

Tim Burton needs to lay off the meth.

This fucker was my first exposure to Tim Curry and had given me a fear of spiders.

The first movie ended with Neo coming into his powers. The series ended with Trinity sacrificing herself to save the obvious person from a copy of Smith someone's body, and then Neo making a deal with a sort of representative/hivemind of the machines, so that if he stopped Smith, they would declare peace. He did and they did, and they furthermore were moving towards freeing everyone in the Matrix. Of course that all involves some allegories with Christ and Buddha. Also there are big fights. (I'm both short-selling it and leaving out some really sketchy plot developments.)
fun fact: the entity the deal was made with is called "Deus Ex Machina" in the script

It wasn't his idea, he just paid for it.

sorry that should say a copy of Smith IN someone's body, a tiny character

>Be me
>binging WOY last summer because band I really like does the music (The Two Man Gentleman Band)
>see pic related
>Did not see that coming.
REMEMBER BEEP BOOP

Reading this as a kid really got to me. It was brutal, and unexpected. As a kid Batman was always supposed to save the day and Robin too. I stopped reading Batman for a while over this. Looking back now I get it, and appreciate it. Why hide behind a fan poll I'll never know

youtube.com/watch?v=Fkrft3dZbL0

Was this before or after The Killing Joke?

I think it was after, but I never read that one as a kid. It just didn't interest me.

Yes
Was definitely a sad moment; felt bad for Rampage losing his one friend.

However the death of Dinobot was the true peak emotional moment of Beast Wars.

...

...

>be me
>be newfag
>no clue what QC is
>think this is pretty hot
>fap to this several times
>find out the context of the page
>mfw

>That
>Hot

Does she have a dick? Is this some kind of tranny fantasy where a man will be happy to find out his girlfriend has a penis?

Off topic but I've been trying to find this video (the dank remix, not the original porn) for a hot minute. Anyone got a link?

Pluto has no atmosphere so it wouldn't make a difference. If he got his helmet back on quick enough, he'd look like he just had every capillary in his face pop and likely have respiratory issues from the sudden pull of air out of him but he'd live.

This, so much this.

nice trips

What bothers me the most about these trans fantasies is.
>I can't help it, I was born an X inside a Y!!
>Your sexuality, however, should change at the flip of a switch because "this is me"

Did the author mean to convey that the guy was dying on the inside? Because the last panel makes it look like he is.

Speaking of animatrix, it's hard to feel anything for the robots or even say "Well the humans were corrupt first" when you see that footage of the first robot killing its master. Sure it was in self defense, but killing cats and dogs too?

Robots are jerks.

RETURN THE SLAB

>Why hide behind a fan poll I'll never know

Because Jim Starlin hated the concept of Robin, and wanted to write Batman without one. So he and editorial did the poll so they could wash their hands of responsibility and blame the fans when the outrage eventually hit. Not that it mattered because Starlin was off the books soon after and Batman got his replacement Robin.

Speaking of Courage

the whole bit with the emperor of the Skeksis was horrifying.

>the way he just crumbles away when he dies
