With The Dark Tower a massive failure, this might be the death throes of Sony. If they go under, WB will probably pick up most of their properties cheap, including The Dark Tower. WB will then buy back the rights to The Stand and will then create the Stephen King Cinematic universe.
How do they do it?
Warner Brothers wins again

Does this mean we'll finally get a Shining remake?
They'll have to content themselves with whatever the Mouse leaves for them
WB will buy Paramount and then the entire film industry will be WB vs Disney
Most of Sony's properties aren't Disney friendly.
Disney will still get first pick on account of having a shit ton more money(it's not even close, Disney is worth over a hundred billion more than Time Warner)
If it comes to buying the studio outright again Disney has far far more cash to blow than Time Warner, Time Warner would probably have to pull another merger to pull that off
The only thing Disney will take will be Spider-Man
>Ghostbusters
>Spider-Man
>Men in Black
>not Disney friendly
Warner Bros will make more great hp films.
Aren't there rumors of Time Warner picking up Paramount soon?
...
All of Time Warner is being bought by AT&T. Similar to when Comcast bought NBC Universal
If it comes to down to shit getting auctioned off they'll take whatever the fuck they want since no other studio can outbid them if they want something and as user said there's plenty of potential big return stuff that would interest them
>ourguy
>positive reviews for spiderman, wonder woman, baby driver, kong, trainspotting2, star wars ro, lalaland, moana,
lmao maybe if you're a redditor then sure "our guy" makes sense
Wouldn't it be Fox vs WB vs Disney vs Universal?
Fox, WB and Universal seem friendly to each other.
The AT&T buyout might not be happening

Who takes Funimation?
Stephen King licenses are a cluster fuck, thats why the Dark Tower movie was a shitshow in the first place, there was a bizarre deal where Sony, some other company, and Stephen King all had veto power over any course of action
Fox and Universal pale in comparison to Time Warner and Disney
Here's the power/money ranking:
Disney>>>>Time Warner>>>>>>Fox>>>>>>>>Universal
Yeah, AT&T being so much bigger than Comcast puts them under a lot more scrutiny under the current regime. We'll see in December
How do we The Mouse?
Fox and Time Warner are FAAAAR closer to each other than either of them are to Disney
>kill
the only way Disney could regress to closer to the other studios would be the Feds breaking them up ala Microsoft, and it's unlikely to happen any time soon since there's a lot more competition and if it happens to anyone it'll happen to Comcast first.
the stupidity of this thread and not knowing Sony just picked up funamation meaning shows like DBZ and stuff to make movies with.
You guys are fucking retarded
....
You actually think that Funimation owns the animu you can stream from it?
Really?
inhales
For realz?
