Are you a fucking retard? Haven't you seen Paths Of Glory, Full Metal Jacket, Dr. Strangelove or Barry fucking Lyndon? Everyone who says Kubrick's films are cold and lack humanity are clearly either retarded or haven't seen those. Hell, Eyes Wide Shut is also quite humane with it's themes that almost everyone can relate to, those being the ones concerning love and not the occult pedo societies.

Kubrick was always shy of the press and exposure. I think most people only know him as a person for his abuse of Duvall. It's no suprise people don't really know him as a man. Honestly I think he might've been a 4channer if he was born a few decades later
What suprises me is he's always thought of as the weird art-house film director. He's certainly less audince friendly than someone like Speilberg, but he's by no means a pertentious artist. His early movies like Spartacus and Paths definitely have the mass appeal factor people always seem to forget he had.

It's not just Paths and Spartacus, most of his films, if not all, are made for both casuals and people looking for something they can analyze to death. You can enjoy most of his work on the surface, but they have a lot more to offer once you venture beneath it.
