Sup Forums absolutely DESTROYED. You Capitalist pig dogs don't realize what it's like to be an 18 year old in the current job market. Honestly fuck you if you're one of those cunts who say; "get a job", you don't realize how hard it is to even get a promotion!
Double Digits and I reveal where this poor oppressed laborer works, and then you'll see truly just how evil the Free Market is.

Is this dude an orphan? Does he not have parents? If hes been living at home and working for three years he should have money saved up.
Levi Wright
I don't know what's the problem, why does an 18 year old expects to be paid well? When I was 18 I had no delusions, I studied at night and lived with 6 other people to be able to pay rent...
Juan Brown
I'm 18 work 35-45 hrs a week as a delivery driver, make at least $600 per paycheck, these dumb fucks just like to bitch

I woke too sine I was 15. Did a apprenticeship, with 18 I had a degree, earned 5.6k per month, moved out and bought a car in cash. That was a year ago. It's sooooo hard nobody can do it.
Liam Long
Funny how he talks about education, loyalty, etc., not mattering. No shit it doesn't matter at fucking Hungry Jacks. You're going to be living paycheck to paycheck if you plan on working at a fast food joint for the rest of your life.
Lucas Carter
American Capitalist here. I agree with the person in OP. What they're saying isn't necessarily anti-capitalism but it sounds more like a grievance. I mean most jobs are shit dude. It takes a long time to find a really good one.
I was 25 before I found a job that paid me fantastically and I've never let go of it. I make 30+ dollars an hour. You just have to keep searching. Or hold down 2 jobs if you're not getting enough hours in the week.

This guy is literally a retard who doesn't know how to save money or work smart.

The trick is stop looking at the job market as something thats owed to you.
Put yourself in your employers shoes. To get regular promotions and pay rises you have to be worth something that pajeet or john simply cant do.
You might have taken few sick days. But pajeet will work for 5 years unpaid overtime at lower wages while living in a room with 20 other people becauase if he gets fired then hes not only out of the job. Hes out of the country.
You need to develop a profitable skill pajeet cant do and prove that its valuable. No one owes you promotions or jobs just because your a person. Regardless of how long you work at the same place.
Create a situation where they owe themselves to promote you because not doing so would be extremely problematic for them.
Hudson Jones

Ok the job market might be shit but if she's living paycheck to paycheck I think it's time for her to learn to budget better.

Hate to break it to you sunshine, you only get paid as much as you are worth to the world.
Austin Edwards
It's so fucking pointless talking about job searches, it varies so much on age, field, experience, degree, prestige of degree, social skills, the will of the person, complete luck of the draw (good or bad), etc
No two people will really have the same experience, you can only really use measures of the economy's health to decide these things (well, muricans can't since your unemployment and inflation figures have been doctored since that piece of fucking shit bill clinton)
Lincoln Brooks
That's absolutely not true, if you legitimately think salary is a function of productivity I don't know where to start. Someone's willing to pay you it, but it has nothing to do with your worth to the world. Contrast a plumber and a banker. One helps the world keep moving, one is a kike parasite.

What we seem to be saying in this thread is that one of the most right-wing groups on the internet would like to see a bit more socialism or communism in our societies, meaning that if you fail to make a decent living then the people who have succeeded should give some of their money to you.
I agree with this, being as how automation displaces more of us each day.
Camden Miller

It's worded rather poorly by the subhuman.
What he means is that if they call him about a last minute shift because someone else called in sick or something that he goes in "for mostly all reasonable shifts". Not that he just decides not to go in sometimes.
Matthew Harris
Having a Masters degree in Finance or STEM helps as well. Minimum wage is for college dropouts or students looking for extra cash during holidays to buy an iPhone. By no means it is a career that can support a family.
I do agree with shortage of good jobs in the market. Even with my Masters, I am offered a pathetic salary as excessive supply of labor.
Chase Foster

To be frank, she is more or less right, most of my freinds and me work, phisically or mentally but we work, dose not change the fact that none of us can afford to move out, between my uni work (im studing biology, so i need to have some time to take in the infromation at home, especially sience im planing to major in ecotoksyology) beaing a intern at a lab (they dont pay me) and the smallest bit of a persenal life (i like to grab a beer friday night with a few freinds and play shadowrun once a month), i dont have enough time to have a full 8 hour job, and even that would not really net me enough money to live on my own somehow
Dylan Scott
There's a trick for that: work in a really shit job before going to a cs ralated job. That way you will remember how shit that was, and how little money you made. After that, you'll always want to work in your comfy, high paying, interesting job.

so you are telling me that a person that isn't able to fulfill the expectations of a company or is willing to look for a second mini job should get paid more?
Adrian Brooks
I was 18 in 2003 and worked 40+ a week in a hospital cafeteria making 8.50 per hour. Living at home wjth my parents but most if not all of my pay went to the house and bills as my parents became ill and could no longer work.
I do not dare think about trying to do the same in todays job entry level job market.

No, fuck you!!! People would kill in my area for skilled labor. But there is literally no one. Hundreds of we'll paying jobs and no one to fill them because retards went and got a 4 year degree in "business" or some shit and now expect to work in the high powered board rooms 4 months after they leave college.
Connor Ward
>25 >been without work since 18 >only had one job my entire life which lasts for a total of one and half years before the company went down
Thankfully the social security in my country means I'm living pretty well, but goddamn. Shit isn't easy. Especially when you have no idea what you want to work with.
Hudson Evans
This is what happens when you flood the country with cheap immigrant labor.
Ryder Flores
>Especially when you have no idea what you want to work with.
few people really know what they want to do, even if they have always dreamed of doing something in particular.
the point is to do something. go to university if you have the brains and can afford it. major in something that isn't silly. get a job. AND THEN YOU start to learn what you are good at, and what you like, and what you hate.
quite often you take a job and realize that you like something that you never thought of, or you used to think you would not like.
just do something. you only have one life.
Christopher Perry
Well, I know what I want; to have a active job outside and not sit in a office. I have nothing against working as a janitor or caretaker as long as I'm not at a desk. I'm overweight and need a active job to keep my health up.
The issue for me is that there are literally no jobs like this available were I live. I shit you not. All jobs around me require you to get a certificate or special education which takesa few months to get, and because of past tendencies the only way you're going to get help getting these courses is if a emplyer comes and says explicility that he's going to employ you if you take a course. Otherwise you have to pay for it with private money.
Jobs with low qualifications are disappearing fast in Sweden, and it's made even worse with the refugee crisis.
Luis Turner

20 only just landed a retail job, markets pretty shit granted but it's about how much effort you actually put into finding work (lazy entitled fucks don't get shit). Also job experience is a big one.
Gavin Evans
Your privilege is showing. Every one can't afford to just live off of their parents and save all their money. Some people that have worked through their teens, do it because they have to help out the household. Even if it's just by taking their burden off of their parents.
That you can only imagine orphans having to actually spend their own money, instead of living off of mommy and daddy, is really telling. This is why they call is privileged, and you give the rest of us a bad name.
Parker Bell
>18 year old in the current job market That's because you're a plebeian who can't pry their face away from a cell phone and when you do you act like we should care more about how you feel than the shit job you're doing. Secondly, the slut in the image should had enough experience to move on to another job that pays better but like most people they rather just bitch because it's easier than actually having to do something.
Jason Parker
This bitch needs to get a real job with more hours. Quit whining about working a shit job when you make no attempt to better your life. Most Americans work 40+. Many people choose to work multiple part time jobs. That said, most companies out there could afford to pay their employees a bit more per hour, but you'll never make a living wage at fast food. There's a reason only kids, retards, and degenerates work at those places.
Jonathan Bailey

>I've worked since I was 15 for the same company Either an outright lie or the "company" she works for or even the position she's working in can be filled by an illegal that will take half as much as she's getting currently paid. Now here's the kicker, people lie to make themselves look like the victim. The same way waiters lie about barely making enough money to buy food and pay for rent but they have the latest iphone and ipad. Chances are this person really does not have money for LUXURY items which every young person wants to own but she isn't starving or homeless.

I don't know who's worse, people who complain how hard it is to get in the job market or people who get a job, take no effort to seek promotion, and then complain "If I have a job then how come I'm not rich?" Like fuck, my first job was a gig at Wendy's I got after a friend vouched for me. Spent a few months learning every position, asking to be on grill some days, fryers another, cashier most. Just a few months into the job I reapplied for manager and had to deal with my friend all pissy cause I had been working there way less than she was but now I was getting over double her pay APPLY YOURSELF famalam
Luke Moore
In my experience the people who don't get the hours they want are also the ones who call in sick a lot, leave shifts early, and/or make unreasonable schedule requests. When I was hourly I never once had to ask for hours because I was reliable.
