I was thinking about some of these neo-paganism movements and how they're a bunch of LARPers, but then remembered that Catholicism manage to make a brief come-back in Lithuania, even after 50 years of being suppressed and publicly considered as "plebian" or un-cool. Do you think that, had there been a coherent neo-pagan movement in the late 80's, would we have been able to revive some sort of paganism? And I'm not talking about an honest religion, because no one could seriously pray to a grass snake or something like that, but something more like a soft religion.
Basically just placing more emphasis on our pagan festivals like Joninės, Užgavėnės, maybe celebrating Christmas as the winter solstice and officially calling Lithuania a pagan country.
It would have certainly put Lithuania on the cultural map of the world as something unique.

What do you think? Is this still bat-shit crazy?

Stop stealing posts.
Is it? Explain, what has happened during the time.

>tfw reported every drug dealer whilst at uni
>tfw got 8 people arrested and significantly reduced the flow of drugs through the university

felt good improving the lives of others

no because paganism is literally a bunch of people larping, they don't actually believe in it

Then it's impossible to save them.
youtube.com/watch?v=IV3w3p7jnKE

at least you live in Europe

you're a good citizen!

And I don't believe in the Jahweh, yet I celebrate Christmas and Easter. This is the case with most young people.
That's what I was talking about, not actually praying to forest spirits.

they're moeroleplaying

it beats the shit out of christfag traditions imo
but i'm not shithuanian, so don't mind me

Veryga is my role model

That's a stolen post.

I was into paganism myself, but after a while realized everyone were just larping and doing weird shit for the sake of being eccentric. Mostly, anyway. I just explored spirituality and never did any stupid larping, but they still put me off it.

christfags usually are at least agnostic
no pagan larper is dumb enough to believe in some retarded wolf god or fuck do i know
not to mention that modern "romuva" is essentially a fantasy story

>they're moeroleplaying
AKA gayroleplaying.

that is not the same
nani

>that is not the same
Same and bad.

no

Uhh no. Most people celebrate those festivals anyway. Why pretend to follow "the old religion" when it's dead for good? Modern reconstructed Baltic religion is pretty much fan-fiction anyway.

>tfw reposting the same post

I wasn't talking about the spirituality of the religion, more so just giving the local festivals more attention, returning others to their roots and calling that Paganism. Would be pretty cool.
Eh. I guess you guys are right. Still, it would be nice if we were
>giving the local festivals more attention, returning others to their roots
Our Christmas Eve is already pagan as all hell.

when do you say "geras" vs "gerai" when you say something's good?
