her eyes are still fucking huge
She fucking long faced and disgusting. Fuck outta here with your ugly shit op.
...
She looks like a man.
...
...
...
holy shit
These are good.
(You)
these look 10x better
Looks like shit
>it's a "stylization is bad, realism is good" episode
Well this is faggotry, the goal of character design isn't realism it's...
Oh my.
autism
Now make DAMAGED versions.
The problem is that in motion these would all be teetering much more dangerously close to the uncanny valley than the real ones
perfect giraffe
These aren't bad, but more realistic doesn't always mean better. Them having cartoony proportions isn't inherently bad. Though the sameface has gotten pretty terrible.
edit looks fat
Spraying feces with gold paint doesn't improve its value.
Gold paint gives an unrealistic standard for other paint colors.
Sperm wyrm either way
"normalized" also she looks boring, like someones mom
The BH6 ones seem to work best.
Bryce Dallas Howard?
There certainly better than most edits I've seen but these ones feel just a bit to close to the uncanny valley to feel right.
Any edits of Pixar or Dreamworks movies?
Isn't uncanny valley a good thing?
I like these tbqh
This one is objectively the best.
Not wrong, but nothing's wrong with "realism" either. What works is more important, not "uniqueness".
Mostly no, when it's doing something people don't like. I think pics above actually works. But others seem to differ.
I wonder what GoGo would look like with a normalized butt.
They look like dudes in drag in the edits
Well it's a thing but it's a thing that causes a sense of uneasiness in the viewer.
Where the brain can't tell whether something looks decidedly not like a real person or a real person.
If you want to creep people out then you can use it for great effect but it's not what most character designs aim for.
It can be subjective to the viewer.
Oh baby
The normalised versions look more like the 2D Disney princess art styles that they dropped for the 3D doll faces
God damn.
...
I generally dislike all these 'fixed' images but this one I really like. Would waif
Pretty sure the original artist wasn't trying to fix anything, they just did these edits because why the fuck not
Yeah, fuck all those animators and artists and all their hard work! Animated should look realistic and not animated!
Now we're talking.
At least tweak their noses as well, man, shit.
She's fucking norwegian though
I welcome all shitting on the overly neotenized art styles of these movies.
And Stop staring at me with them big ole eyes.
Now she just looks like tracer.
...
patiently waiting for a Gogo edit...
Finally.
looks like an actress
These are fun edits, I like, but in an actual thing would be uncanny valley. I do like cartoon characters to look like cartoons or they might as well be played by real actors on a greenscreen. I've also never liked the human character designs in a CGI film with "realistic" humans ever.
...
>edits picture to conform to own aesthetic sense
>thinks it's literally perfect
Well, yeah, thats the idea, right?
>what is cartooning
>what is character design
Every fucking time.
exactly what I was thinking
>being so autistic you have to project an opposing agenda on someone just doing edits for fun
Not going to lie, these are pretty sweet. But Aunt Cass does things to me.
>what is character design
Style doesn't mean it doesn't look off or bad
Steven Universe is a prime example of this. Everything's stylized but there are designs that just look bad
APPLY FOR DISNEY AS HEAD DESIGNER NOW!!!
I forget, is Cass supposed to be half Japanese?
Either way, bueno.
Amy Schumer?
Fuck, now she looks like MY aunt
Ok, so I'm not the only one that thought that.
Why the fuck are Elsa's eyes so WIDE, even compared to her own sister's?
Also the original here is legitimately terrifying.
What your eyes arent literaly bigger than your stomach?
Eugh
>Not posting the rest
I guess I'll finish it then
>not posting this one
Yeesh, I wonder why.
...
...
uncanny as fuck
...
>bretty gud edit
>her titties are bigger
Would fuck.
...
...
These ones are actually improvements.
...
Wow, Merida suddenly became perfect
Pretty sure that's all of them
...
Yikes.
Oops, actually forgot one
...
Uncanny valley Rapunzel looks kinda hot, but original Rapunzel is cuter
>no shard of ice in forehead
soiled it!
they've been made BANGABLE!
Personally I think the edits make them look more generic and dull. They just sort of blend in with the hundreds of random CG characters you see online by random artists. Making them cartoony isn't just to avoid uncanny valley, it's to avoid monotony.
The Merida one looks way better though, fuck that stupid shit face of hers.
I'm having terrible flashbacks to those shitty "for girls" games that involve grievous bodily harm and other weird and disgusting shit. Thanks.
>tfw no Anna gf
She looks like my Chemistry teacher from college
Where is this from ?
Rio
Good work akshly
What games?
Why 3d animated tits are hotter than real life tits ?
Is this a character edit thread?
Is that what we're doin today?
mouth is entirely too wide in the normalized edit
This isn't even original OP
