Why isn't he just Superman all the time?

Why isn't he just Superman all the time?

Because he doesn't want to be.

Because he's Clark Kent

Because he has a life. The bills aren't going to pay themselves you know.

It would break him psychologically to be the rescuing hero all of the time. His real life keeps him sane.

Also the dude has to sleep.

Does he need sleep? He doesn't need food or air, so why should he need sleep. Has this ever been explained?

I recall a comic where the NOTSuperman and NOTWonderwoman had no secret identities and were heroes all the time. Their friends noticed that their performance was starting to suffer so they made them take time off and they didn't know what to do with themselves because they had no lives outside their jobs.

Cause he has a life, a family and friends.

Eh, worked out for The Flash. Superman's superior to The Flash in every way so I don't see why it wouldn't work for him.

He might be a super man, but he's still a man. That's like, the whole point of his character, eh?

He can't be Superman without Clark Kent.

He'd just be Kal-El.

Kingdom Come is bad

New 52 Superman didn't according to the Johns run. The sun's energy made it so he didn't have to eat or sleep, but he still did because food tastes good and he likes having dreams

Superman cherishes humanity so much, he wants to be one of us. He needs to be Clark Kent and socialize with humans as much as we need to eat or sleep to function.

This, go read For All Seasons or Peace on Earth Sup Forums fag

Astrocity. Still best capeshit aamongst all capeshit.

You're bad.

Fuck off, Diana.

And he's called Clark, not Kal.

Kara calls him that too. But she probably just got used to it after baby sitting him for all that time.

>Why isn't he just Superman all the time?

He thinks that the farther away from humanity he is the lesser hero he can be since he doesnt understand them.

His arc in ALL universes is usually the same. He will eventually be superman 24/7 when Batman and Lois finally die.

Because without Clark Kent to remind him of the individual people, and the "little picture", things like Injustice seem like a good idea.
