Volume jumps 5 times as loud during the action scene

>volume jumps 5 times as loud during the action scene

>perfect volume is at 13
>constantly move it from 12 to 14 as to not stay on 13

That's why I started watching everything with subtitles, and just turn the volume to a comfortable level.

>I have a shitty sound setup but dont realize it yet.

>only use multiples of 5
>in EXTREME cases it HAS to be an even number

>Sound
>Normalize
>Yes

Why is this hard?

Same, and since I only watch movies with high terrible camera work and shitty lighting and lots of compression artifacts and low bitrate audio, it really doesn't matter that 1/3 of the screen is covered by text

I also just stream my movies on YouTube

>I don't understand how audio engineering and mixing works

>mixing the audio correctly to begin with
Why is this hard?

>I also just stream my movies on YouTube
Heh. So, you use the amazing Youtube CCs?

>Can fix problem
>wont do it

Why not?

if you had a 7.1 sound setup then there is a speaker dedicated to the dialog so you can adjust the volume of this accordingly, you know like they do at the theater.

fucking poorfags.

That's why I mute the movie and just read everyone's lips.

>he doesnt use windows loudness equalization

i use this when watching anything, it puts the volume way up when its quiet so that you hear everything and then reduces it if it spikes up with music or action

>>mixing the audio correctly to begin with
they arent mixing it for your shitty $10 laptop speakers.

>not having your TV sound at 0 and your surround at 60

It's like you plebs don't even like watching kino

>movie is ear-ragingly loud during action scenes
>can barely catch a word during quiet drama scenes
it boggles my mind that awards for sound editing still exist. It's 2017, having good sound editing should be expected not praised for being good

It's the same even with high end home theater speaker setups, you nonce.

This. I saw war for the dawn of the beginning of the planet of the apes in theaters and everyone whispered when in down time and during action I got headaches

>watching tv or movies
Hello grandpa, how's the 50's going?

Not if you actually properly calibrate and set up your speakers you dipshit

>tv at 100
>movie volume it's too low
>put headphones
>still can't hear anything
