Be Mali

They even used THEIR OWN LANGUAGE in administration since the 13th century, while germanics that weren't living in muds used Latin as administrative language?

Yeah I don't get why people make fun of that mosque. It's pretty alright considering the materials they have in the desert.

oh what the hell I hate germanics now?!

Honestly it would be more impresing if it was bigger

Various records tell he used gold too while building it, but all was taken during raidings or colonialism

It's all basically a French "it surely looked like that!" reconstruction anyway. Fuck knows what the Mali had actually built.

Daily reminder that Mali was one most prosperous country in the Islamic world and an important center of learning before m*Rocco came.

How come africa doesnt really have a great civilization? There are unique architecture styles everyone in this world but nothing really stands out in africa. You can look at various countries in europe and other countries like china, india, japan and they all have their own unique buildings.

>How come africa doesnt really have a great civilization?
Egypt user. Nubia user.

>what is egypt

Moorish architecture is pretty great.

>inb4 he moves the goalpost to subsaharan africa

Saharan Africa is a paradise where people can live a hunter gatherer lifestyle fairly easily. At least it was before there were hundreds of millions of them. No reason to develop or innovate when you have that kind of lifestyle.

...

There are like 2 dozen trade empires that existed before colonialism

Wrong. It was French funded BUT the builders and the architect were locals. It was built to replace the old mosque that was several in poor conditions.

France back then had a policy of taking stuff down but also funding local indigenous buildings. They did this in Vietnam for example.

Really? google up the number of HG's on the continent then come back.

Luanda's arquitecture is nice

Because you didn't bother to look them up.

I meant subsaharan

>He doesn't know about AXUM

As I said, not a native Germanic architecture Hans

Wakanda's is alot better though. However, both are creations of WYPIPO.

>Major parts of the current palace were built between 1845 and 1857
> The Sankore Mosque which was founded in 989 AD

>WYPIPO.

Besides Greece and Rome, what unique civilisations did Europe have?
Also
>japan
LMAO, carbon copy of Chinese architecture and culture

Sure, but the original mosque had been a complete ruin for almost a century by that point, with half a wall left here and there. The whole reconstruction was mostly guesswork.

not true, it's a common misconception among whites that blacks in Africa lived as hunter-gatheres, most of them lived under middle-sized Empires

There's Aksum, people tend to forget Abyssinia/Ethiopia remained unconquered by Europeans. The Benini Empire was another impressive civilization, There's probably at least a handful of worthy civilizations in sub Saharan Africa we don't discuss because we know shit about the continent.

It was an entirely new building.

the only hunter-gatheres were mostly found among Afro-Asiatic and Khoe-Kwadi peoples.

Early Celtic Portugese, French, English, Spanish, Italian Renaissance, whatever the fuck that shit is in central Europe, Russian, there are various early Balkan and Georgian civilizations, Byzantium was very unique, pretty much everyone but Albanians have a claim to their own civilization (just kidding, you retards do too).

Not only that but hunter gatherers in Africa were/are a minority, the majority were pastoralists.

>Sankore Mosque is Africa's most impressive building in 2017

>Major parts of the current palace were built between 1845 and 1857

and Egypt had a much much higher workforce to do that. ALL of them paid infact and more access to more building material. Also climates are different between the two.

All Southern Europe Architecture is the same, with Spain, Sicily and Greece being influenced by Arabic a bit too. Go north and you have no unique civilisation except from mud houses

Yes, the Nile valley is the exact same as the Western Sahara

I hate to say this, but even American architecture is more unique than North European one, with such innovations such as skyscrapers

Greece was never occupied by Arabs, if anything they would have some Turkish influence.

Egypt when the sphinx was a lot greener modern day Egypt. Also, what this user said . People also forget how big Africa is, and how difficult it was to get from North Africa/Egypt to Central Africa (caravan journey was around 6 months from memory). What they achieved with such little contact with the world is no small feat to be mocked.
Why do stupid people often speak the loudest?
